Family that has fallen on hard times. This bill is due today.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in their grandchildren. The family is nearly fully approved and is taking great care of the children. The family has struggled to adjust to increased expenses and is needing help with some bills in order to stay caught up until they receive financial assistance from OHS. We have been able to get some assistance with one bill and if someone could help with this bill it would get the family caught up. We have an older foster mom who just took in a teen girl. Foster mom works at a daycare and is starting the DHS process for home approval but has been living off credit cards to get the teen everything she needs. Foster mom needs a lot of assistance for this placement as it was very unexpected, and the teen girl came into the home with little to nothing. My client would benefit from transportation assistance (gas card) to get back and forth from work, the baby's doctor appointments, and day care. Any help would GREATLY be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello all, I am hoping you can help a very dear family. They are 5 adults and 2 children, living in a household that are looking for rental assistance. The family had to leave a previous location due to being uninhabitable, and the previous landlord did not correct the issues. The family has exhausted other resources by staying with other family members and was even homeless for a day. The family was able to obtain a They were able to find a place to stay, but are in need of deposit for the rental by this Saturday (2 days from now). The deposit is $1500. The family is unable to come up with the deposit due to fixing their vehichle which is their only mean for transportation, allowing them to work. Meeting this immediate need for this family will allow them to maintain shelter.

Oklahoma Human Services is currently working with a family consisting of a mother and two children ages 4 and 5. The mother has just left a difficult and unsafe relationship with the children's father where the father was the sole financial provider. She has been able to secure housing for herself and the children on their own for the first time since they have moved to Oklahoma. The mother is doing her best to secure everything needed for herself and the children to include daycare, getting a new job, furnishing their apartment, and building a life for them on their own. The mother is in need of assistance purchasing car seats for the children to ensure that they are safe in the car. The children are tiny and still in 5-point harness car seats. She was able to budget for a booster seat for the oldest, but she is still too small for it. Any assistance for this family would be greatly appreciated!

We have a young married couple fostering their nephew and on the road to adoption. Foster mom recently gave birth to a sweet baby girl and is homeschooling and raising 3 other biological children. A biological mother that I am currently working with recently completed time in prison for mistakes that she made and completed a halfway program following that. She is expressing that she would like to make changes in her life. She is currently living with a friend for a short time frame and reports that it would be helpful for her to get to services and to get a job if she had a bus pass.

We have a foster mother that has really gone above and beyond to help a 13 year old boy with several disabilities, and there are 3 other children in the home. She's opened her home in order to take him in and even moved to the living room so that he can have her room instead. She's been struggling with some major home repairs and we've been unable to find help for those issues. We are asking for some help with her water/municipal utilities in order offset those other expenses. Her current water bill is $201 approx. Any help is greatly appreciated!

An incredible mother is at the final stages of reunifying with her youngest child, while continuing to take care of her two other children. She has worked for months and done everything she needs to to support all of her children, but has had challenges arise recently towards paying her current electric bill to ensure her house is stable. Any assistance would go a long way in helping her complete this reunification successfully with her youngest child.

A young mother and survivor of domestic violence needs help paying for her EMT certification exam. This young mother was abused during pregnancy and as a result her baby has many health needs. To help support her child and to reunite with him from foster care, the mother wants to continue to pursue her EMT certification. She's already taken and passed all of the required classes; she just needs to take the exam and pay for her license. If you could help her, this would be a huge blessing for this determined mama.
