Children's Division Prevention worker is working with a single mother of 2 children. Mom is a single parent working full time to support her children. Her two children (Boy-13 & Girl-12) do not have a bed. One of the children has Autism. Mom has been having to take off work due to his behaviors at school. This has led to her monthly income decreasing some pay periods. I would like to assist mom in obtaining beds to alleviate some of her financial stress. Household of 7, 2 adults and 5 children. Nursing staff that attend to 1 year old child who requires 24-hour care is reporting bedbugs. Due to the nature of the claim, we are requesting assistance in getting an inspection and possible extermination.

Grandmother raising her granddaughter after the passing of the bio mother. The Grandmother receives disability, but her rent was recently raised, and she has been having 300 or higher electric bills. The granddaughter doesn't currently have Medicaid, and they lost their snap benefits were canceled. The family is needing to get to the department of family support and possible the food bank.

Three sisters came into care October 31st of 2024. These sisters got split up with one in one home and two in the other. The two younger sisters have been moved 4 times and have attended 5 schools. I have finally found a home that they feel safe and happy in, they have only been there 2 weeks, and I have never seen them so happy. Since the beginning of this case, they have told me they have wanted to do cheer but have never gotten a chance to. Their new placement took it upon herself to call the school coach and get them in for last minute try outs... AND THEY MADE IT! they have not gotten to do any extracurricular activities or anything they enjoy since being in care. They have always wanted to be with a caring family and get to participate in normal kid activities. These girls have been through so much trauma, and I am so happy they get to do something that makes them happy.

They got their cheer packet and there are fees for cheer camp, uniform, shoes and bows. I would greatly appreciate help in purchasing these so the girls can participate.

This family is comprised of two parents and five children with one on the way. The parents are both employed. Three of the children are school aged and two are in daycare. The children broke the bunk bed that two of the kids sleep on and the parents cannot afford a new bunk bed. With such an active house they would prefer a metal bunk bed or a very sturdy wood frame for the mattresses they have.

The children are set to move to trial home placement on 5/5/25, however they are not able to until their mother has an active driver's license. Mother just completed her SATOP and is needing help paying for it. She will also need help to pay for her license to be reinstated. The children are about to move to trial home placement and having her license reinstated will allow for her to be able to legally transport the children, as she does not have a strong support system to help with transportation. Having proper transportation will help her to be more successful with reunification.

I have been working with a single mother who has successfully reunited with her four children and has had them back since July! She is now caring for her mother and has not been able to secure reasonably priced childcare for the kids. She has made it this long on her own, but her savings is now gone and she is behind on utilities. She is going to start being paid to take care of her mom in the home, and things should be stable then. This is a necessary short-term need. We have pursued other utility help, but due to her not having hard copies of kids social security numbers that has not been successful.

Mom worked hard to get her children back home after they were in foster care for a short time. Children's Division referred Mom to Coyote Hill's Parent Advocate Program last October. The Advocacy Program provides parent coaching, encouragement and connections to services. Mom's participation is completely voluntary. We are excited for this family and applaud the work mom is doing to keep her family together. Thank you for considering a hand-up.

The Prevention Department at Children's Division has been working with this family to offer them supports. Single mother of two children ages 1 (boy) and 2 (girl) is solely responsible for her children. During a home visit, the worker observed that the children were in need of new beds. The mother shared that she has been wanting to transition her 1-year-old to a toddler bed. However, she hasn't had the funds to do so. The 2-year-old's bed frame broke during a move. This family has worked hard to get their home back in order for their children. Mom does work to provide for her children but does not have much left after rent & bills.
