This is a request from RestoreOKC. We have a participant in our workforce program who is in need of assistance with her OG&E bill. She found out recently that a charge was fraudulently applied to her account, and this charge applied an extra $500 to her account (someone she knows used her information to set up an account but did not pay the bill). The amount owed is now $800 and her electricity was turned off on Friday, the 22nd. She has filed with OG&E that this charge was fraudulent, but they have not yet completed an investigation. She has $200 to put toward the bill. She has reached out to other resources to get help, but has either been turned away or has not heard back. This mom has two children in the home with her. She is a hardworking person who has come against a very difficult situation and any help you can provide would mean a lot.

This Mom of 5 has been working our program for a few months. We have secured housing for her and her children. THey will be able to move into their new home in another 9 days. We are short money for their hotel stay and are looking for assistance in this area. If anyone can help in any way please let us know, and thank you for your prayers.

We have a homeless single Mom who is 5 months pregnant with a 4 yr old. She is in need of an additional week at our hotel until the program she is coming into is secure. Please pray for this mom and her daughter for Gods will

We are lifting up a faithful mom caring full-time for her special needs baby girl. Because of the child’s needs, Mom is only able to work two days a week, making it difficult to provide for even the most basic essentials. We are asking for help with diapers (size 3, Huggies or Pampers) and Huggies wipes to support this sweet family. Providing these items would truly be a prayer answered for this mom and her precious daughter.

Two small children that have been in custody for a couple of months are disrupting from their foster placement this weekend and KVC has last minute been able to approve a relative placement. The home is in need of one 5 point harness car seat and two mattresses and bed frames(two twins or one twin and one toddler). These children will move likely on Sunday or Monday and while the relative can borrow the car seat for a week or so to go with the one they already have they will be giving up their bed for the kids to sleep in until we are able to locate beds for the children. Any assistance is appreciated, and the placement has a truck and is willing to pickup the beds from anywhere in the KC metro area on Sunday or Monday.

This family was among those affected by the LA fires, which forced them to leave their home and start over. While they were able to receive initial support through 211 and the generous help of extended family who assisted them in securing beds and many of the essentials they are still in need of a few key household items to fully restore a sense of stability. They are currently without a refrigerator and couch, two items that would make a significant impact on their daily life and comfort. We are seeking support for the following: refrigerator and a family-sized couch or sectional. Any help would complete the final pieces of their home setup and bring peace and comfort to a family who has worked hard to rebuild after loss.

A family of five was recently displaced by the Eaton fire, which destroyed their rental apartment in Altadena. With little to no assistance received from FEMA and limited resources, they’ve made the difficult decision to relocate to Fullerton to be near extended family and begin rebuilding their lives. They are currently in urgent need of support to meet their most basic daily needs. The parents have been doing their best to thrift clothing for the entire family, but the children are in desperate need of properly fitting shoes and essential items. New or gently used clothing for children and adults, Toiletries and hygiene products, Children’s shoes, Gift cards for clothing or essential needs. The family is doing all they can to stabilize and create a sense of normalcy for their children.
