Family of 7 is lacking transportation to and from medical appointments, work, and a grocery store. They live out in the country so a bus pass will not be sufficient. They just bought a car and do not have enough to pay sales tax to get it registered. We are estimating sales tax and registration to be $150. The family is also struggling with mice in their home.
We are seeking a card with $150 for sales tax and registration as well as a few mice traps.
Thank you.

Family starting trial home placement. Four boys from 1 - 8, single mom. The family needs a kitche table with four chairs (baby has a high chair). In addition, a booster seat for the 2 year old would be helpful.
THe apartment has a bar counter wth two chairs, very high and difficult for the boys to use as a table. It is not a safe or family like arrangement for meals. Mom wants to eat meals together to begin building family bonding. Mom works full time, pays her own rent and day care, making money tight.

Bio Mom has recently been reunited with her two boys and also has a two month old newborn baby girl. Mom is doing very well, but unfortunately recently lost her job due to the boys having some behavior issues with their daycare. Due to loss of job, Mom has a couple of physical needs to help with baby girl and one of her boys. Mom is attempting to go out daily with the boys to help them with their energy level and get some physical playing time. She needs a stroller to help transport baby girl during these outings. The stroller would be best if a car seat could be supported in it and then when she is not in her car seat, she could be supported as well in the stroller. She is still very small, but will grow and hopefully the stroller could accommodate her growth. Her oldest boy is also in need of a pair of tennis shoes. Size 9, preferably easy to put on and take off, Velcro closure type design. Updated on September 21, 2023 by an Agency Worker The car seat that Mom is currently using is a Snug Ride 35 Lite.

Student and father live with paternal grandfather and paternal uncle due to father being disabled and not able to make decisions for the home. The family was evicted from their rental house due to the landlord wanting to sell the house. The family has found a new place to move into but that home is not available until October 1, 2023. The family has been staying at a motel, but do not have enough money to stay there until the new house is available to move into and still be able to pay the first month rent and the deposit on the new house. The family only has enough money to stay at the motel until 9/21/23 and then they are not sure where to go after that and are trying to figure out 9/22-9/30. Requesting a motel voucher or place to stay so the family is not split up for the remainder of days between the last day paid for at the motel until move-in date at the new house of 10/1/23.

A grandmother is the relative placement of her three grandchildren who are in foster care and her oldest grandson (age 17) has recently been placed in foster care and he will be placed in her care as soon as he is released from the hospital. This grandmother has been helping with her grandchildren (ages range from 10-17) ever since they were born. Her grandson is needing a bed, a bed frame, bedding, and a dresser when he moves in. This grandmother has been a constant and reliable caregiver for her grandchildren through every season of life they have been through and would appreciate the help to give her oldest grandson a place to sleep at night.
A family is currently living in a RV and is trying to get back on their feet. They have a newborn baby. The baby needs Smiliac 360 formula and clothes anywhere from 3-12 months, especially fall and winter clothes. The family assistance will free up financial resources for them.

Mom shared with her parent educator that her husband left them and moved to another state. She has 5 kids. She speaks only Spanish, is unable to work, and doesn’t have a car. They will soon find themselves in a crisis situation as she isn’t able to pay the rent for their home. They haven’t paid the rent for August and the landlord is threatening eviction. Her rent is $865.
We to mom about how she can file for child support. Parent educator educated mom on filing for child support (If it goes through, she will only receive support for the youngest child. The dad of the older 4 children was deported.) Mom stated they have enough food for now because they get food stamps and WIC. Parent educator is working alongside mom to access resources.
Children's ages are: 19 months, 3, 4, and two elementary aged children.

A 16 year old male, that has recently come into care is in need of a twin bed, twin mattress, twin bedding, towels, wash cloths and any possibility to obtain a gift card for clothing items, due some of his clothing being stolen from his stay at an emergency residential care facility (he has already used his clothing voucher). This child was brought into Children’s Division's care due to him being picked up by a police officer in downtown St Joseph. The officer reported that he looked lost and confused. Prior to coming into CD's care, this child was living with his father, until the family was evicted from their home and the child's father being placed in jail. This child is low functioning and has a speech delay.
This child will be moving to an ISL in Liberty, MO and is in critical need of a twin bed and mattress which is needed for the ISL he will be moving to.

I have a 2 year old boy that is on my caseload. The child has just recently been reunited with his mother on a trial home placement arrangement. The mother just had surgery yesterday and works full-time. Due to having her surgery she is missing some hours and will be short on her paycheck. The mother does not have any support from family. She is having a hard time paying for her living expenses and is needing help with groceries. The mother does have groceries at this time but moving forward this may be a real problem until she is able to apply for food stamps due to the child being placed in her care. The mother is also having a difficult time paying for rent for the month. The mother reported to me that she will not be able to pay her rent and her car payment this month, due to her surgery. I am hoping to get this mother and child help with groceries and the possibility of getting some help paying for rent or car payment.

I have a three year old on my caseload that is in need of bunk beds for his Father's home. The three year old was brought in to care due to an accidental fentanyl overdose. The child's oldest half-brother who is 23 years old was visiting at the child's mother's residence and the child came out of the bathroom and collapsed on the floor in front of his mother. The child was placed with the ex-mother-in-law of the child's mother. Luckily the child overcame this unfortunate incident and after a case review court hearing the judge made the decision to have the child return to his mother and the custody agreement that was already established went back in effect. The child’s parents are not together, but do co-parent well together. The father does not have a place for the child and his 5 year old sister to sleep on.
