Single mom is in the middle of reunification of her 2 year old son. Mom lives 30 minutes away from her son's childcare center and is spending a lot of money in gas to drop him off on her days of visitations. She plans to move his school closer to her once they are reunited, but in the meantime has to keep him in his current school. Mom is in need of several $25 gas cards to have a little extra help for now.

The mother is experiencing financial hardship and needs assistance with her utility bill.
She has four children 3, 10, 11, and 15-year-old Individuals with special needs.
The mother had an unexpected expense that disrupted her budget.
This household with a single mother of 4 children were housed about a year ago in our housing program after their father passed away. They have been fairly stable and a wonderful family to work with. The mom has some physical limitations, which limits her ability to gain employment and are currently living on limited income. The mom' twin daughters recently started college, which motivated mom to also go to school. Mom's goal is to graduate with an Associate's Degree, which will help her while she job seeks despite the mobility limitations. In the meantime, their dining table became unusable and are in need of a new one that can accommodate a family of 5 - however not too large since it's a smaller apartment. Mom would also like a regular rug, or a play rug for her 4 year old daughter.

We have 3 children who are in a very unique situation. Due to the condition of mom's home, the children were removed for their safety. All items in that home is not available. Mom is currently in jail and we are scrambling to keep these kids from coming into DCF custody. The father lives in another town and is unable to shift this way just yet so the children are going to grandma's house but needs items to continue forward while they are in limbo. Children need clothes but we don't know sizes. Children also need hygiene materials.
We have a 2nd grade student whose family is at the risk of becoming homeless due to being unable to meet their rent this month. His homeroom teacher shared with me the concern mom brought to her attention yesterday evening and reached out to me to see what we can do to help this family. Mom shared that her rent is about $2,000 and is not able to cover the entire amount and it was already due at the beginning of this month. If anyone is able to help in any way, the help would be greatly appreciated.

There are three children and the the mother is the sole provider. Mom works cleaning homes and got laid off, she is struggling to meet the children's basic needs. This family is in need of support with food, clothing. Mother is concerned that this will affect the children's school if they do not have food and what they need for school.

Mom is currently out of work due to an injury. Family is behind in rent and are dependent on Family Services/Food Bank as the main source of groceries. Mom reported there are times that she and stepfather do not eat to ensure the kids always have something to eat. Kids are age 14 and 11. When I interviewed the 11 year old, I asked him if he could change or have one thing in the whole world, what would it be. He responded...I wish we had extra food/snacks so that we don't have to worry about what we will eat next. :( I would say if they could get non-perishable items, including canned/frozen meat to go in things like tuna/hamburger helper type meals, this would be a huge blessing.

There is a family that is having financial struggles the father got a new job and the pay is no longer cutting it for the family. The father is planning to return to his old higher paying job. There are 4 young children in the family, the financial stress is causing a lot of chaos of in the home. They are currently $1,000 behind each month on their bills. I informed the mother I will reach out to see what donations I could collect to help assist them during this transitional time. I know $1,000 is a lot and I am not expecting that full amount just whatever donations are available would be helpful for the family. Thank you!

single Adoptive mother has had adoptive son for the past seven years. Son has a lot of trauma and behavioral concerns mom is trying her hardest to address. Mom has COPD and is physically unable to do household tasks. The biggest task is the wooden fence in the backyard has sections that have fallen down. They have two dogs and are in trouble with animal control because the dogs can run if they get out. Her yard is completely overgrown with weeds, so could use help getting that mowed down. She had a helper two years ago who helped her rip out the flooring in her upstairs, but helper got hurt and Mom cannot do this task. She has all the new flooring to be placed, it is the snap together laminate flooring. Mom could also use help organizing and cleaning. Any of the above tasks that can be helped out with would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have a mother who is needing financial assistance help with her rent. She was put on unpaid maternity leave 1 year ago and owes 2 months of back rent from living in a previous, neighboring apartment. After many unsuccessful attempts seeking employment, she has finally secured a paying position. She will have to wait a few pay periods before receiving her first paycheck. Mom has been requested to stay away from apartment complex premises until the back rent is paid. The family, in turn, has not been able to have visitations in the current apartment. Dad and child is on the lease. It is mom's desire to be put on this lease, as well. By helping this mother, you are ensuring this family have visitations in the family home. This will also help strengthen the child/parent bond by being able to reunify in the same home where visitations occur. The family is currently working on a budget to better allocate future paychecks, in hopes to alleviate financial binds.

I am working with a single mom and her six children, she will be moving into an apartment this week. She has not had any permanent residence for over a year due to completing residential treatment for her addiction. She is currently reunified with 3 of her children and will begin transitioning the other 3 back into her care once she's in the apartment and has room for them all. She is in need of kitchen items (pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc), dressers for each of the kids, two more beds and bedding. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
