I am working with a youth who has intellectual disabilities. When she gets upset, she has been struggling to calm down. Her therapist thinks it would be helpful to set up a calming corner with comforting and sensory dampening items that will help her calm down and start to teach her the skills she needs to be able to self-regulate her emotions. The therapist feels that a 20 LB weighted blanket and some noise reduction earplugs would be very helpful for this space. The noise reducing ear plugs would also be used when this youth is out in the community learning skills like grocery shopping, so she would need to be able to hear someone talking to her when wearing them.

The family is going to have their electric cut off due to an outstanding balance. The mom paid the minimum due but still needs 195.00 paid to be current. The mother is working three jobs to try to make ends meet. She recently had to turn down a better paying job to be able to coordinate pick up of her children from school and child care. The family recently started trial reunification and needs help getting on her feet while taking on her three children in her home.

I have a family of five on my caseload that recently moved into their own rental home. The parents have been working very hard to be able to provide their three children with a space of their own. The family is needing a couple common household things, such as a washer and dryer, bed frames and mattresses. The family was previously staying with other family members, so they did not have furniture or appliances of their own to take with them. The family would be appreciative and grateful for any help they can get. The parents are both working full time jobs while also attending all of their required services.

Hello! I have a mother that wants to work really hard to reunify with her daughter. She is experiencing some hardships with paying her electric bill. She is in need of 35.48 dollars. If any assistance could be provided, we would greatly appreciate it! Helping this mother would achieve more of a safe and stable home toward reunification. Thank you!

Bio mother is living in a camper trailer while she waits for housing to become available. The bio mom is close to starting reunification with her children. However, her water heater has broken and is unrepairable. An electric water heater would allow her to better manage her electricity usage and it would be hot water on demand rather than a tank which could potentially leak again. She is disabled and unable to work more than a few hours a day. She has a pending disability claim with social security but that is not a fast process. CWS Hutchins has found a unit on Ace Hardware website EcoSmart 2.6gallon 1440 watt electric water heater for 189.99.

Mom lives in Texas and has made great strides to get back on track and has done so. She is currently taking care of her other child safely and financially and has paid off all her debt to get back to Oklahoma. The child recently lost his only other family member (grandmother) in which the child had a strong bond a couple of months ago from organ failure. Mom has secured the money for the Uhual; paid off all outstanding debts and has the funds for the 1st months’ rent on the new apartment in Tulsa; but is just short of the deposit. The kiddo has been placed in a new foster home and bio mom has attended and participated in all services with OKDHS, including making a complete lifestyle change to do so. A family of 3 is in need of help. The family is currently working services while their 2 year old is staying with friends. The family is struggling to not only be able to see their child, but also to make it to appointments and to work as their car is unreliable and they do not have the funds to fix it. Mom is pregnant and is working to help support her and her children while Dad is also looking for a job. Bus passes for these parents would not only help them make it to the appointments for their pregnancy, but also to work so they can continue receiving care and services and so they can see their kiddo while they work on getting her back home. Please help this family get back on their feet and support them in their time of need.

A young family has overcome many obstacles in life to get to the place they are now. One parent is working while the other stays home with a new baby. They are in need of diapers as the baby is transitioning to a size 2. They also need a dresser as they are keeping their clothes in laundry baskets in their room.

A developmentally delayed 17-year-old girl who lives in a group home would like a TV and DVD player for her bedroom. Watching TV is a positive coping mechanism as it helps her relax by refocusing her attention. Having a TV in her own room would allow her to avoid arguments with the other girls over the communal TV and give her more of an incentive to disengage and regulate herself in her room when she's overstimulated by the activity in the home instead of becoming reactive in a negative manner.
At the group home, there is no cable or streaming capabilities, hence the need for a DVD player. We've included links for combo TV/DVD players below to simplify her setup but would accept separate devices as well. The primary limitation is that the size of the TV cannot exceed 32".

I have a grandma and grandpa that are raising their grandchildren and recently found out that they had bed bugs in the apartment. The apartment sprayed for bugs, but grandma is requesting the need for full and queen size zip up mattress protectors to help prevent re infestation and to protect themselves from coming in contact with the bug spray that was sprayed on the mattresses due to it is causing some skin irritation.
I have a single mother of 5 that recently moved into an apartment after being evicted from her trailer. Mom was unable to bring the kids beds when they were allowed a short amount of time to get their stuff out of the trailer. Mom is requesting the need for 4 twin size mattresses and box springs for the kids to be able to sleep on due to currently sleeping on the floor. Mom is disabled and on a fixed income and is unable to afford to purchase the beds herself. Mom is also needing basic kitchen items such as pots and pans, silverware , cups, plates and bowls. Updated on December 05, 2023 by an Agency Worker I was able to obtain community resources for pots, pans, silverware and dishes and that need has been fulfilled. Mom does report that she is needing the twin mattresses and box springs for the kids. Thank you

A family in our community, currently overcoming the aftermath of domestic violence inflicted by the biological mother and her boyfriend, is in urgent need of our support.
The three youngest children have found refuge with their father and his wife, who are working tirelessly to blend their family of seven. Unfortunately, their washing machine broke this past Saturday, and with only one car available, taking laundry to a laundromat is an insurmountable challenge.
Adding to their difficulties, the mother is bravely facing spinal stenosis, while the father's income from a tow truck job is limited. They have identified a used washer for $300 on Facebook Marketplace, and your support can make a significant impact.
Could you contribute to help them purchase this essential appliance or provide a gently used washing machine? Your generosity will not only ease their immediate burden but also contribute to their journey of healing and stability.
