Over the past 3 months, Safe Families has been serving a single mom and 5yo daughter who are experiencing homelessness. A volunteer host family has been caring for the 5yo over the last 3 months so that mom had time to focus on stability for her family. Mom was able to get keys to an apartment last week! Mom and daughter are excited to be back together and restart! Unfortunately the family has no household items. In order to reunite this family, they need to have beds to sleep in. All other items needed too, but beds are a priority. If you have gently used beds/bedding or would like to help fund this need, the family would be very appreciative. BRAND NEW foster parents just took in their first 2 toddlers last week! They are excited and they are doing so well! They love the boys already! Their toddler experience is limited and disposing of the diapers has lead to discussions. I'm hoping to make their life a little easier with a Diaper Genie. These new parents will so much appreciate this gift of ease. Thank you!

I have a client who is in critical need of a few things, both lower cost and higher cost! I know this single mom of four will be SO appreciative of any help provided!! Last week, this mom both lost her job and her car broke down. The front drivers side axel is broken and the part alone is $150 and then labor added to that. She is a single mom of four who on top of looking for a new job, is walking her children to two different childcare facilities in the heat of the day. She is also in need of size 4 diapers, wipes, and size 3/4 pull ups for her two youngest children. She has exhausted her resources and has come up with very little. Any help that is able to be provided for her will be appreciated more than you could realize! Thank you for your consideration!!

Hello! I have a natural mother that is currently on leave from work due to a work-related injury that requires surgery. She has one child that is autistic and has behavior concerns. A couple months ago, the child broke some of the windows out around the home during an incident. Child is doing much better now through medication management and individual counseling. Natural mother is needing assistance with purchasing new windows and having said windows installed. Last week, the central A/C went out and she is having to use the one box fan she has in the home to keep her and the child cooled off. She has requested more box fans to better cool the room where they sleep. Natural mother is in therapy, herself. DHS is hopeful to close the case next month. DHS would like to set natural mother and child up for success before possible case closure! Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Foster family in need of a 4 or 5 drawer dresser that is no wider than 34 inches, in order to fit into space. New or Used condition. Color does not matter. The beds in the bedroom are wood brown stain.

This foster family recently decided to take placement of a child that suddenly needed a home. The child is thriving there and getting along well with the other foster children in their home. The dresser would be used to place the clothing of a teenager.

Good day! I hope you are enjoying the beautiful Oklahoma weather we are having! This request is for a long time foster family that has provided care for the children of Oklahoma for over a decade. This family currently has placement of a sibling set of toddlers and have reported they would benefit from having baby gates to install in the home. The foster parents have requested four to five baby gates, with the ability to open in the middle, to install around the home for safety. Anything you can provide would be a blessing to this family and these children. Thank you so much for your time and generosity!!

The family was able to purchase a twin mattress for one of their bunk beds in need but it still seeking thin dressers for two of the children.

We are currently working with a family of three in Kay county for almost four months. The family consists of two parents and one baby girl. The family is working towards reunifying with their older child and they would like assistance in creating a safe and comfortable home for their children. The family is in need of an A/C window unit, as the home is very warm. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and allow this family another avenue of support and the feeling of community. The request is to prevent a placement disruption from occurring. The kinship home has had some financial issues due to a plumbing problem with their home. The home is in need of a plumber with Roto-Rooter and for a plumber to run a longer snake, in attempt to find the problem and determine what repairs will have to be done. The family is not in a place financially where they can afford to hire a plumber for this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a child that has been in custody for a little while now. Their parents were not able to do the things they needed to get custody of the child and so now the child is in permanent custody of the state. Due to her trauma they struggle with allowing anyone to get close. So they tend to bounce when the feelings get to real. I am hoping to get some hygiene products for this child along with others who may be in the same situation as this child. Things needed would be soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, combs, and maybe a storage bag to make it easier for the kids to transport with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
