We have a second grade student that lives with grandparents as his mother is currently incarcerated. They are also raising his oldest sister in high school and briefly had his middle sister with them before she needed additional mental health support elsewhere. The grandparents have recently found themselves in a dire financial situation for a variety of reasons. This second grade student experiences behavioral concerns here at school that administration, counselor, classroom teachers, and additional support have been working with him and the family on. This additional financial stress could be further hindering any improvements in behavior and academics as he is usually very aware of circumstances within the home. They are looking for any financial relief that can be offered or donated at this time and will be following-up with possible on-going assistance. She included estimates for the bills causing the most distress. The student is also in need of glasses, potential further mental health support outside of school, and more that we have been finding other reprieve for the family.
This homeless family (mom and two young children) has moved in with another family whose finances were already tight. Bedding and storage is needed. They are looking forward to a queen size air mattress, sheets, and plastic storage bins.
The family consists of a mother and her 8 year old child who recently moved to the area after leaving a domestic violence situation with the child's father. They had to leave suddenly and do not have many belongings. Mom was not allowed to work, drive, or finish her education, so she has been very isolated for years. The boy is medically fragile, so mom takes care of his medical needs 24/7.
Mom uses leftover money from the child's disability check to buy groceries for him. Due to his medical issues, he needs to eat only fresh produce and meat. Mom has said that groceries are what they always need the most, and food banks can only provide their shelf stable items. Mom says any fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat (NO pork - the family is Muslim) would be greatly appreciated.

A neighbor provided a twin mattress the child can use, but the frame is broken and he needs a new bed.
We have a 2nd grade male student who we recently found out has been absent for a long period of time due to a stomach virus. He unfortunately had to spend time at a children's hospital due to severe dehydration from this virus almost all last week as they attempt to keep his condition stable. His poor mother has had to endure the stress and immense anxiety of trying to be there for her child all while also caring for a younger child. Mom didn't know what help to ask for, but having been in her shoes months ago, I understand that when you are under that amount of stress, you can't even think. I am reaching out to hopefully gather some gift cards for groceries, fast food restaurants and gas to at least help this family out with some expenses. I know the cost of hospital cafeteria food adds up since mom needs to pay for this out of pocket to keep herself fed and having to drive from her home to the hospital every day adds up in her gas expenses.
This student is a 2nd grader who lives a mile away from the school. Her walk would be a 20-minute walk by herself, crossing major roads to return home. Her mother is not able to get off work to pick her up, no one else in the home drives, and the school bus doesn't pick up anyone within a 2-mile radius. This student desperately needs to be at school each day. When her mother is not able to pick her up due to her work schedule, the student does not come to school. The family is in need of funds to pay for after-school care each month.
EDP is $377 per month or $3,016 for the year.
I have a pregnant mom sleeping on an air mattress and could really use better support as she is 7 months pregnant. If she couldn't get a full-size bed, I am sure she would be happy with a twin. She is single with 3 other children and has worked very hard to get where she is right now. She is currently pregnant with a baby girl. She could use anything to help her get prepared for her arrival.
My 17 year old student is a fantastic mother to a two year old girl who is in need of clothing for sizes 18months. My student is living at home with mom and helps around the house, parents and comes to school. She will graduate early even with all the responsibilities she has. It would be amazing if you wanted to provide a Walmart giftccard to help with her expenses as well.
I have a family who are not US Citizens, so many of the resources available cannot be accessed by this family. Recently the mother has become ill and cannot work as much as typical. As such, she is paying full price for medications (which are not typical expenses on previous income). I would love to get any help possible for the family. Two ways I believe this is possible is by paying the baseball registration for the elementary brother of my student at the cost of $140. Additionally, gas cards in order to help alleviate the cost of living in the amount of $200. This would allow mom to get to and from work.

I saw an email stating that a community responder in zip code 76108 needed help delivering the gas cards and fee to the family. If he still needs someone local to the family to help deliver those resources, please let me know.
I have three middle school aged boys whose mother was evicted from their apartment for financial reasons. he boys were taken in by their adult brother, to ensure their school was not disrupted. Mother is living with a friend. The adult brother is having a hard time making ends meet with three new people in the house. I am connecting the family with food resources, but the boys need shoes for athletics and clothing for school. We are in need of 3 Athletic shoes Nike or Adidas (suitable for running) size Men's 9 1/2, 9, 9 1/2 (one pair for each boy.) A 17-year-old boy who lives with his elderly maternal grandmother needs to obtain his driver's license. He is a very responsible teenager who goes to school regularly, has a job, is involved in multiple sports, and uses his extra time to spend it with his family. He not only needs his driver's license so that he step into adulthood properly, but he also wants to be able to visit his parents who don't live close, be able to go to school/games/work without delay waiting on other people, and be able to get his sister to and from school and other services she needs because she also lives with her paternal grandmother and she works hours that sometimes interfere with getting her to and from school. Does he need someone to teach him to drive or is he just asking for the self taught course? I know that includes working with someone to sign off on the work and the to drive with him for the practical work.
Hello,
I have a single mother with 4 kids that are in desperate need of a bunk bed and two twin size mattresses. Mom was just approved for housing and is in need of furniture.
Thank you kindly!
Summary: Family of middle school student requesting help with groceries and utility bills.
Context: Student comes from a single-parent household, where Mom is a dedicated educator struggling to make ends meet. In the past, the family has struggled with stable housing, but through their hard work and determination, they have improved their situation significantly. However, the start of school has put a strain on their resources, and they are needing help with groceries and their electricity bill. If this need was met even partially, it would help both the student and Mom maintain the stability and wellbeing they have worked so hard to achieve.

This request is for a spirited 15-year-old female who is a Type 1 diabetic who is insulin-dependent and is starting the reunification process with her bio mother. She was in care for over a year and the clothes that she had from a year ago no longer fit. She has very limited attire and shoes for school and daily wear. The child needs clothes that fit and are school-appropriate. She wears a large in women’s clothing, 14 juniors in pants, and a size 8 in women’s shoes. The mother has several children to care for, including one outside of the one in care who has chronic medical issues. This donation of new clothes or gift cards to a clothing store would assist in meeting a need that the mother cannot afford at this time.

A kinship caregiver took on the needs of a 2-year-old little boy in order to keep him with his older sibling. This kinship caregiver took in these kids with a house full of kids of her own already. She is limited on space and is having kids share beds right now. Due to the increase in kids, funds are allocated to maintain the basic needs and function of the family, food, and education. She is looking at obtaining a bunk bed to help our kids have their own bed and be able to feel like individuals and sleep well at night. This will help immensely and she will be grateful for any help.

We have a church member with a wooden bunk bed set and matresses they are no longer needing. Will be availalble for pick up as early as tuesday october 3
The family is involved in a domestic violence situation, which has caused a lot of financial strain. Mother is in the process of starting to gain financial independence after this DV situation.
Family could use food support and financial assistance.
The family consist of 2 boys, ages 12 and 16. There is also an 11 year old girl in the home.
We had a mother come in this afternoon (8/29) sharing that her and her two children (elementary and middle- GCISD) will be evicted tomorrow (8/30) if they do not come up with the rent for the past 3 months. We are looking into trying to get them temporary housing while they try to get into a more permanent situation. Hotel/motel vouchers would be super helpful. The mother has had her car repossessed by the bank and is now borrowing from someone. She would benefit from a gas card in the mean time to get to her new job.
Single mother of 5 daughters ages 4-13 is in need of socks, shoes, and hygiene items such as deodorant for her girls. This need met would mean so much to the children as they navigate with their mother to find stability.
