Two teens recently returned home with their mother. Children cannot be added to her SNAP benefits until 1/1/24. Mother could use some help with non-perishable food, snacks and drinks for the home to get them through December and the Holidays. Mother is on a fixed income. Mother has limited space for perishable foods as she is using a mini fridge at this time.

I have been working with a single mother of four children overcoming substance abuse. The mother would appreciate twin beds for a small room which include a mattress, box springs and a bed frame for a 5-year-old girl and a 1 1/2-year-old girl. The mother would be grateful for a food processor that grinds up meat due to 1 year old, twin boys with swallowing issues and developmental delays. A food processor benefits twin boys in a way to eat puree foods that are easier and safer to digest than solid foods and get the nutrition the boys need to grow and thrive. The beds will help the girls focus on a better sleeping routine, individual development, and safe sleep.

Mom is working, the kiddos are healthy, everything is going great! It is time to move from Grandma's to their own apartment but it's pretty empty. This family needs some furniture. A sofa, a chair, dining table and chairs, maybe a TV stand. The little girl has a crib that can be handed down to her baby brother since she's ready for a toddler bed and a dresser to store their clothes. Moving in for Christmas would be the best present they could possible receive. Donations to help make that happen would be very much appreciated; they need a lot, but donations, full or partial, can help make their lives more comfy for the holidays!

The foster family is in need is diapers size 4 & 5 as they just took placement of 4 kids with 3 under 4 years of age. 2 of them are still in diapers and they are in need of diapers and wipes for the kids. The family also is in need of some type of storage unit for the kids shoes and clothes as everything is in 1 dresser at this time. The family is in need of a humidifier or 2 to help keep the children that have been placed there. The home is currently not receiving any assistance as this is a new placement. The family could use a Walmart gift card to help cover the cost of these items.

Natural Parents just begin Trial Reunification on December 1, 2023, with their 3 children. Natural parents need financial assistance of $200.00 for children clothes. and shoes. When the children came home from their foster home, the children only had a couple outfits a piece. Natural Parents have begun to buy the children some clothes but needed assistance with more items for all three of the children.

Bud:
First Freewill Baptist has the needed bed frame and are trying to connect.
I can assist with the connection but they need login assistance for the future.
Mom and son, 2 yrs, does not have a car and isn't working enough hours to pay for transportation to get to the places needed. Mom had to chose between transportation and rent and chose to pay rent. In preparation for getting custody, mom had paid her rent ahead and saved up to be a month and a half ahead because she knew she wouldn't have day care and would need to apply for assistance so she could go back to work full time. At that time she was working Full Time for Burger King and attending online school. She is now working for Wendy's part time and has gotten her certificate from online schooling.
Mom has been working to improve her life situation and has been a role model, regularly attending 12-step sobriety meetings and is the house president in her Oxford Home. She also was provided a trip to Washington DC for a national Oxford convention paid for by Oxford this last October. She also got her certificate as a Clinical Medical Asst. 10-31-23. She has nearly successfully graduated from SFM Substance Abuse Out Patient Services with a month to finish.
Multiple resources in the community have been explored to help fill in for this mother and son. A few items needed are:
Dillon's Gift Card for Groceries
Rent Assistance to Oxford House for 3 weeks at $130 per week
Assistance with transportation for mom for appointments as needed if someone would like to donate time and resources to transport.
Thank you for your consideration in helping this mother and child!
There is child that was recently placed in a kinship foster home. The child is currently sleeping on the couch and is need of twin sized bed. The foster mother recently lost her job and can not afford to buy a new bed but wants her nephew to be comfortable while living her home. The child is also in need of winter clothes. As the temperatures continue to drop the need to get this child winter clothes continues to go up. This child is in a home with family but is faced with needs that his foster mother unfortunately can not meet at this time.

I have a mom who has recently become homeless and has nowhere to go. She is currently on the waitlist for housing. By helping her with temporary housing she would be sheltered from the winter weather.
I have a mom who needs a phone that is unlocked. Hers just quit working. She does have service and time. All she has to do is take her sim card out and put it in a phone that is unlocked. So, if we could help her out with a phone that would be great. By helping her she would have a phone to communicate with work, kids, and appointments and in case of an emergency.
A biological mother is needing some winter clothes for her 4 children that were recently reunified with her. There are 2 girls who wear size 14/16 and 5/6. There are 2 boys who wear size 7/8 tall and 7/8.

I have a foster mother who is providing for a family of 3 living off of one income. She has had to cut back on her hours at work which is even harder as she doesn't get paid hourly as she is a hair dresser. She is needing assistance with a $70 bill she had to pay at the daycare.

DCF has multiple families that struggle during this time to provide small children with gifts during Christmas. The agency would like to provide a small gift of $20-$25 gift cards to Walmart or Target to help families in need buy children gifts for Christmas.
Grandmother took placement of 5 grandchildren. She has beds for 3 of the kids, but needs beds for 2 younger children. Right now they are approved to sleep on the couches until beds are obtained for them. The children in need of these beds are a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old girl.

This request would help a family of 6. The children have been in the same non-paid kinship home for some time now. The families AC/Heating unit isn't working properly and they have been told they would have to purchase a new unit at any moment costing around $8,000. I understand this is a big request, if there are any companies who could offer a second opinion to ensure the family doesn't have another option. As the weather changes and it gets colder this is a concern for the family. The family has continued to love, care for, and provide for the children despite the different obstacles they have been faced with. Any help would be appreciated.
