Burmese Family #1
Catholic Charities will welcome a Burmese refugee family in December. This family is a mom with three teenagers. We do not have beds for the family and would welcome help providing the family with beds. I do not have a firm date for when they will arrive in December, but we will set up their apartment on December 4th. Then after they are welcomed at the airport, they will go straight to their furnished apartment with their case manager!
Gender Neutral Items are best.
Catholic Charities will walk with this family thru immediate case management for 3 months after their arrival. We will help with apartment set up, legal documents (like SS#), job placement, establishing medical care, enrolling the kids in school, and much more. Helping the family with household items is a huge way to help the family get established in Tulsa!

URGENT ASSISTANCE NEEDED: We have been working to reunify this mother with her children through completing our at-home visiting program. The mom currently has supervised visitation and will hopefully have full custody of her children by the end of our services with her! Her children are 2 and 1. She is dedicated to the services we are providing in the home, and she has also been attending all doctors' appointments and services required outside of the home. While participating in these services, she also works full time AND has been trying to DoorDash for extra money to pay for bills. Due to the nature of the case, the mother went from a two-income household to now being a single mom with one income, which has added an extreme increase in difficulty to get the basic needs of the family met.
Due to all of these circumstances, the mom is needing assistance for payments in rent, water & sewage, gas, and a car note. She is trying very hard to get caught up and to have a place prepared for her children when they enter the home again. The MOST immediate bills that she needs assistance on is rent and the car note.
If these needs are met, the mom will be able to provide a healthy and stable home for her kids, while keeping up with future bills and rent. Mom has a job and is working, so she will be able to pay future bills, but needs assistance to get caught up to create stability. ANYTHING HELPS! :)

I have a seriously disabled child who has recently returned to his bio mother's home. There are two other children and a stepfather in the home. Mom needs a portable ramp to help her get the child into and out of the home. This is a rental home so she cannot have something permanently affixed to the property.
