Hello! We have a family in need of assistance with rent as soon as possible. They are past due on their rent for January in the amount of $550. The family had their baby earlier than expected, but dad has continued to work and mom returned to work 9 days after having the baby. They are working very hard to adapt to life with a new baby and get caught up on their bills. The family and the case manager has contacted several resources, but none had the funds available to help. If anyone is able to help with the full amount or even a portion of the amount, please reach out.
Father and teen daughter just moved into area from Atlanta due to domestic violence. The teen daughter came from Atlanta pregnant and baby was just born this week. Father and daughter have been living with a friend until this week the father has secured a apartment for he and teen daughter. The father and teen daughter are in need of queen size beds. These beds are most urgent and other furnishings are secondary.
Thank you for considering. Father is also requesting dishes and kitchen furnishings. Workers know that family has no furniture except clothes they came to Kansas with.
Kayla was not sure what she was going to do with her pregnancy when she first came to A&A. She was separated from her husband and had gotten pregnant with another FOB. That FOB promised to help with financial expenses associated with having the baby, but now that she's had the baby, he has been telling her he won’t help anymore financially if she doesn’t agree to his demands.
Kayla parents 4 children and shares custody of the first 3 with their father. She worked 2 jobs while pregnant and was able to figure out how to cover most expenses. She has been struggling with lack of income due to maternity leave, and her current job won’t give her full time hours until March. She has applied for state help but is still awaiting approval for those.
Kayla is requesting help with a past due electric bill ($215) as well as some gift cards to help her and her children. $100 in gas and $100 in grocery.

Single mom of 3 children is in need of getting birth certificates for her children so they can enroll in a new school. This family has been homeless, and by staying at many different homes, she has lost a lot of important information. We have been helping her get her ID, SSN, and now birth certificates for her and her children. This transition for the kids has been tough and she believes them switching schools to where they are now will help them become more stable. This process is all part of her getting a job, housing, etc. We are wrapping around this mom to support her in this process!
Single disabled mom. New baby 5 months old. Just received shut off notice for Atmos energy. She needs 366.00 paid to avoid shut off. She is on a fixed budget and is just learning how to care for her daughter. If this bill is paid a lot of stress will be moved from her shoulders. If the helpful church will contact this worker i have a copy of the bill so it may be paid directly to Atmos.
Thank you and be blessed.

A local foster home in the Olathe area that is placement for a number of teenage boys in care have requested two bedroom doors to replace two bedroom doors in their home that were broken off the hinges and not able to be put back on. The home is in great need of help to replace the bedroom doors to be able to provide privacy for the children in the rooms currently and to be in compliance with state regulations to maintain their foster license and be able to maintain the children currently placed in their home. They would greatly appreciate any assistance possible in getting the bedroom doors replaced.
Parent has a clothes dryer that does not work. She has tried to service it and they say it is unrepairable. She is on state funding and cannot afford this.
Father of one of our children in foster care does not have a sim card for his phone. He works two jobs but does not make much money and asked for a Walmart Gift Card to purchase a $50 Smart Phone sim card so he can get his cell phone to work. He needs to be able to contact his lawyer, daughter and caseworker. He says that he has already paid ahead on the phone, so service would not be an issue.
This 14 year old boy has been in care for over two years. He bounced around a little, before finding stable placement with his siblings in March of 2021. He has an 8th grade field trip to Washington, DC coming up in April (with payment due by the end of the month). This youth is a great kid. Once he got into a stable and loving home, and was able to find the right dosage of medication, he has thrived. He does well in school, loves playing sports, and he has a very humble and kind personality. He would really like to go on this trip, and his foster family would really like for him to be able to join his classmates. They need some help to make this happen. The cost of the trip is $1,609, and that is a lot for the family to take on, especially since they have six other children in the home. So far, $500 has been donated toward this trip, and $1,109 remains. Any amount helps!
DCCCA family preservation is in need of size 4 diapers . We have off brands but the family's are reporting they are having rashes from off brands so Pampers is the ideal choice. So two to 3 cases please.

This father is a hard working parent , who has been given custody of his young child for safety reasons. The child is thriving and healing , the father has a full time job, and a vehicle that is no longer drivable ,the vehicle has engine or transmission problems that would cost more to repair than to just get another car. The father uses the vehicle to take his child to therapy , school and also to get to his employment site. We are hoping to raise 3,500.00 dollars so he can buy a working vehicle.
Thank you so much. Updated on January 23, 2023 by an Agency Worker We would also like to add that if someone has a dependable car they would like to donate to this family, please let us know. Your donation will greatly improve this family's situation, relieve a great deal of stress on this single father, and put dad and child on the road to success. Thank you for your consideration and all you do to make a difference in the lives of families!
Hello! I have two siblings who were placed in foster care last year in April due to parents' substance use and mental health concerns. The kids were placed with a family friend and they have been AMAZING in helping to take care of him and his sister while they are in foster care. One thing that the family has been struggling with was being able to afford to pay the kids' activity fees to make sure that they still are able to live like regular children and participate in their regular activities while the kids are in their care. The younger brother has been participating in soccer and is SO talented at it, and his older sister participates in theatre and theater camps. Anything would be so appreciated in helping this family out!
Three siblings have been significantly acting out after visits with parents and there are concerns for them hurting one another. With a 2-level home, foster parents are unable to see the children when they are in their room and need a baby monitor with video capability to ensure the children's safety while they are cooking dinner or are in other areas of the home. This need is urgent as the children have become very physically aggressive with one another and others in the household as well.
We serve the family of a nine year old boy with autism and ADHD who is in need of some sensory equipment for a “quiet corner” his mother is trying to put together to assist him in learning skills to help him to regulate himself in a soothing manner. The cost of a lighted curtain and two alarm clocks; one for the quiet corner and the other for his bedroom. The clocks are used to set timers, the displays are large and bright enough for client to see. The cost of these items total is $130. Thank you for your kindness.
Combined family of 5 kids and two adults (mom and aunt) need assistance paying off past due rent. This would allow the family to look into a new home that can more easily house everyone. Mother and aunt are working but this debt continues to compile.

A young name is in need of a new futon. He has been offered a bed, but he prefers a futon for when he has friends over. The one that he currently has is broken. He is wanting one that is more comfortable like a bed as well. Getting this futon will allow for him to not only get a good night's rest, but it will also allow for him to socialize with his friends.

Hello! I have a single mom in need of financial assistance with replacing the windshield on her vehicle. The estimated online cost for this repair through Safelite autoglass is $364.98. This will be the first step to helping mom get stable with her newborn baby because this will allow her to have reliable transportation to work, daycare, and appointments. Please let us know if this is something you can help with.
