RCDSS is working with a family of consisting of a single 23 year old mom and a 10 month old little boy. Mom is currently unemployed and has a need for clothing for her son. Specifically, mom is looking to obtain shirts, pants/ shorts, and/ or socks. Mom reported her son wears 18M in all clothing items.

She has a December balance of $41 that she is currently paying on but still has to pay the rent for January - April which is $1,057. Every month on the 6th late fees of $105 accrue on the account. Mom is currently unemployed but is actively job searching and interviewing. She has reached out to TANF and has secured emergency assistance of $1,500 which has been applied to the account. This family consists of a mother, stepfather, and two autistic teenage boys. The family's home is infested with mice and possibly other rodents/bugs as well. They are in serious need of an exterminator service.

Weekly price for extermination is $75.

I have a foster child that has been placed with her brother and his fiancé, which is going well so far, but they are in need of some financial assistances with their rent. He is a little behind in rent and would be most appreciative of any contributions in helping him so that our placement stays successful.

I am working with a family that includes the grandfather who is a vet, his daughter and his grandson whom all live in the home. The family lives in a hoarding situation and desperately needs assistance with getting the home clean. Currently the grandfather has a boot on each foot for medical reasons, and the daughter is not mobile and in a hospital bed. The living conditions appear to be getting worse and are unsafe for the child. We are asking for either a team to help clean the home (we do recommend protective wear for this job) or assistance paying for a cleaning service and any recommendations of cleaning services that accommodate this kind of situation. If the home is not clean the child will be at risk of coming into care. The child has a very special bond with his grandfather, and we are working very hard to prevent him from being removed.

Single dad shares custody of his 6-month-old daughter. Dad works full time, 12 hour shifts, and has full custody of his 12-year-old son. Dad would like to get his daughter on his days off. His daughter is currently staying with her great grandfather and his wife. The baby has been sick with respiratory issues the last several weeks. Great grandfather is having to take off work to care for the baby. Great Grandfather states it would be a big help if the baby's father could help care for the child. Dad is trying to gather things so that his daughter can stay with him some, but he does not have a crib.

Single mother with no income and limited supports needs diapers and wipes for her year old daughter. The child is in size 3 diapers and is sensitive to some diaper brands. Brands the child can tolerate for diapers are pampers and parent choice. The brand of the wipes does not matter.

We are seeking a toddler bed and mattress to assist a local kinship family in transitioning their toddler out of a pack and play and into her own bed for the first time.

A single mom with three young children is currently in need of beds for her two toddlers. The whole family currently sleeps together in a queen-sized bed which is both a safety hazardous and a hinderance to their well-being as the mother is unable to sleep through the night. The family is requesting a twin-size bed/mattress for the 4-year-old and a toddler bed/mattress for the 2-year-old. Additionally, the family is in need of another dresser as the space they are staying in does not have closets causing storage to be limited. A gently used dresser would be accepted if donated.

TWIN MATTRESSES | Children ages 2 and 3 in the home. Parents have a bunk bed for the children and are in need of two twin mattresses for the bed.

Kinship placement as well as the Department have some concerns about child's behavior/activities in the home due to recent substance use and lying. Would like to put cameras in common areas of the home for safety purposes. We are thinking between 4-6 cameras would be appropriate.

Bed Frames A Relative has taken in two young children because they were in need of placement. The relative has two Twin sized mattresses for the children but is in need of two twin sized bedframes with railings so that the children's beds are not on the floor. These bedframes are needed to help preserve the placement and to keep the children comfortable during this time.
