There is a young boy who is needing school uniforms that fit him and he feels comfortable in. This young boy has grown exponentially since last year when his single parent bought him new uniforms. It would be greatly appreciated by both the young student and the parent to get him the uniform that he needs. He is needing a couple pairs of pants and two shirts. The parent has provided a link for the clothing items.

I am hoping that I can find someone that wants to help a recently single mom who has found the courage to leave an abusive partner and start over with five children. Children age in the range of 4 to 13 and three have special needs. This mom has worked hard to secure a duplex for the next two years and works for the school district so she can be home with the kids when not in school. I hope whoever receives this request knows how deserving this precious family really is. Through all the troubles this family has endured through faith and family. They have always welcomed everyone with smiles and laughter. I am hoping to help them by getting twin bunk beds with plastic protectors and extra mattress pads.

Northpoint is sooooooo generous. We are grateful for the culture you are building there. Thanks for being such an important part of the community!
This child turned 18 in August and is walking to and from work. She did have a bicycle that she purchased from someone on Marketplace for $20. However, she has since learned that it does not steer well. She has asked if it would be possible to find out if someone could help with her need of a bicycle. She is also working on getting into a community college. This bicycle would be used for transportation to and from work and school. The bicycle she has sent me is $130 from Walmart. We are requesting a gift card so that she can go get it herself and pick the color. Thank you for considering this request.

Biological mother has done very well with her progress in the family treatment court and recently has began a trial home placement with her daughter. Biological mom works and tries to get in 40 hours week but at times not able to do so due to schedule and other services she is involved in with the court. She recently purchased a vehicle to help with transporting her child to and from daycare and other daily needs. She is in need of assistance of help with registering her vehicle and help with paying for taxes for the vehicle she purchased. Any assistance in this would greatly help this mother and child continue to be successful staying as a family unit and the ability for mom to continue to stay employed and transport her child to and from daycare with goal for reunification for mom and child. Mom has an older child residing in another city with biological father and mother receives weekend visits which the vehicle has helped with maintaining this important bond. This worker is asking for any monetary assistance in helping her get her vehicle registered and licensed. Also, gas cards would be greatly appreciated.
Deadline for taxes/registration of vehicle, tags expire: September 19th, 2023

This mother had her child placed out of her home but has since done everything that she needed to do to regain placement. The mother has been working hard on her mental health and has been able to identify a few things that would help her get her selfcare in and her child to have his needs meet as well. The winter months are going to be rough on her due to her not getting all the hours she was promised at her job. She also lost a lot of money when she was out on medical leave for a broken foot. She could use a planner to stay organized, a mini trampoline to burn energy and a hot wheels track to keep her son occupied in positive activities. Thank you!

A single mother with multiple children in the district at different schools has been saving up to be able to move. She has been experiencing hardship with her vehicle payments and the temporary tag was stolen off the vehicle. Due to some extenuating circumstances she has had to put money toward different bills and is trying to catch up with her car payments, insurance, and tags. Having these things in place will allow her to not only make it to work but to be able to provide the transportation she needs for her kids to get to school. She has picked up part time job on top of her full time job in order to try to get her finances on track but is still struggling. Having transportation is so essential for this family. Thank you.

Disabled mother with two high needs children (severe behaviors and developmental disorders), needs help filing her taxes . Due to medical issues and emergencies for the family, as well as running a small business out of her home, mother has not been able to file her taxes for her home or business. If she could receive assistance with this, she would have an influx of cash which would greatly aide her in caring for her children and resolve several financial woes.

Disabled mother with two high-needs children requires assistance with her electricity build. Like many other families in the Kansas city area, summer was especially hard on her and her family and the families older house has poor insulation, so running the AC got out of control. If Bill can be paid, Mother will be able to get on a payment plan which should greatly help the family.

Single, disabled mother with two high needs children needs assistance with her water bill. Mother is not able to work an ordinary job due to her disability and the needs of her children so she instead runs a nursery in her backyard. Between that and her children's medical needs, she has fallen behind. If she can pay this amount off, it will enable her to sign up for a set payment each month.

The family in need currently has 4 children placed. Each child has been placed in the home for over a year. This family is willing to accept two additional children. One of which is a sibling to one of the children already in the home. Another is a 15 y/o child who was abandoned by her mother. She's eager to attend school as she's been homeschooled since kindergarten. In order for the child to attend school she has to reside in a home/district. This placement provider welcomes both children with open arms but is unable to provide a living space until additional bedding is in place. Both children need placement and stability ASAP; this home would be a great fit for each of the children. Please consider. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! Updated on September 07, 2023 by an Agency Worker The placement provider sent her most recent utility bill from Evergy. The total of the bill as of 9/6/2023 is a grand total of $1,185.68. However, any amount shared would be appreciated. Thank you!

There is a family who is facing shut off of their utilities and risk falling behind on their mortgage payment due to owing back money on their past bills on their utilities. They were trying to supply diapers and food for their kids without having them realize the situation they were in. They did not want especially their eldest child to see they were struggling and wanted to have some normalcy in the home. The breadwinner of the family, the father, lost his job at Watersee, and he was laid off due to a bankruptcy and he was left to figure things out for the sake of his kids. With the kids going back to school, they had to get some help from their parents to buy some supplies for the kids. The father had an interview yesterday for a new job, and he has a few lined up this week that he is hoping he can get so he can start working as soon as possible. He worries he will not get a paycheck in time to pay before they get cut off and then he will have fees to turn them back on that he cannot afford. He wants so hard to provide for his family and even felt shameful asking for help, but he said it has gotten to a point where he had nowhere else to turn to. These parents are working tirelessly to make ends meet for their children they are hoping to start trial home visits soon and stress the importance of having the basics for their kids. This family risks having their utilities shut off and does not want his kids to see his mom and dad struggling. Updated on September 08, 2023 by an Agency Worker Please call biological father at(###) ###-#### for specifics on paying utilities.

We are asking for help with rent to stabilize a family to prevent two children from coming into care. Mom works a full time job and is helping her two older children who are in college. Mom also has two younger children that are in the home that she provides care to. Last month, DCF redirected the SSID payments for the teenager that was taken into care. This caused mom to have to work overtime to try to make sure she was able to make rent. However, she has voiced that despite taking the max amount of shifts and working another part time job, she is unable to make her rent for this month and will become homeless with the two other children. Mom does have a plan moving forward but is struggling to make up for the last minute loss of the SSID payments. We are asking for any help we can to either fully cover, or go towards so we can make sure we prevent mom and the two younger children going homeless.
