I Recently went out to see a family and noticed the house had caught on fire that night. The family is staying with friends and family while trying to get a camper till they can repair their house. Most of the items were lost and the family is seeking help with clothing that was lost in the fire. There is a small two year old and a school aged child, uncle, and Aunt. the uncle was able to save some of his clothing. The school aged child will need some uniforms. THANK YOU!
A foster family received a new placement 4 days ago, and unfortunately the child did not bring any clothes or shoes. The foster mom says that her clothing size is 12/14 girls size, and size 7 in shoes. Foster mom also stated that the child's biggest need is jeans/pants. Any help or assistance for this foster family would be a huge blessing for them and the child.
A kinship family has recently taken placement of 5 siblings. They have not yet received their stipend and are working hard to provide for the children's needs. The addition of these children has placed a financial strain on the family. They currently have an ONG bill that will be due soon that they need help paying. The bill is for $288.33 and would bring the family current with ONG. Please consider helping this family as they work hard to keep the siblings together and meet their needs in their home. Thank you!
The natural father is the person needing assistance. The natural father needs assistance with paying for his assessment with Connections Counseling Group for BIP. The assessment will evaluate the natural father and then inform him of their recommendations.
Special Instructions:
The payment should be made out to Connections Counseling Group.
The natural mother and the natural father. The need is for assistance with transportation to be able to work, attend services, and family time visits. The natural mother and the natural father will be able to see their child(ren) for family time and attend services with providers.
Both natural parents. The natural parents are in need for bus passes to be able to attend their treatment service plans. Both of the natural parents would be able to attend both visitation and work toward correcting the condition that led to their minor child's removal.
Kinship foster parents took placement of their nephew and niece. The family are still working on becoming an approved foster placement so that foster stipend can begin. The niece has many health issues and is required to go to the OU Children's Medical Center in OKC for her intensive doctor appointments. The family has been providing the gas for many past appointments to OKC. The family has also transported the niece to her weekly physical, occupational, and speech therapy, which are 60 miles away roundtrip. This permanency worker would like to advocate on behalf of the family in securing a gas card to help with the many medical appointments for the child. The family has been providing all the needs for the children without any financial assistance for many months. The family would benefit greatly if a church would commit to assisting with their greatest need at this time.
A single foster to adopt mother of two plus an adopted child in the home, has been having to take time off work (unpaid) in order to get one of the foster children psychiatric help. Due to the loss of income and due to the extra expenses of having to travel to the facility weekly where the child is inpatient for family therapy, the foster mother is struggling with meeting all her monthly financial obligations. The foster mother is committed to engaging in all that is required in order to get the foster child the help needed. This permanency worker is advocating for grocery assistance to help lessen the financial burden on the family. Any assistance in meeting this need will be greatly appreciated by the family and DHS.
A single foster to adopt mother of two has been having to take time off work (unpaid) in order to get one of the foster children psychiatric help. The facility where the child is inpatient is requiring the foster mother to attend in person family therapy. The facility is a three hour round trip drive. The foster mother is committed to engaging in all services that is required in order to get the foster child the help needed. This permanency worker is advocating on the family's behalf for a gas card to help foster mother attend weekly therapy sessions. Any assistance in meeting this need will be greatly appreciated by the family and DHS.
I have a family in Wagoner County that is in need of some essentials. They are a kinship home that just recently opened. They initially took in one child and now they are adding an additional child to the home to keep the sibling group together. They are fully approved and do not receive maintenance payments so anything help. The family stated that they are in need of help with groceries to get through until they can start receiving payments to help with the financial burden it has taken to feed two additional mouths. The family wants to keep the siblings together and also want to ensure they are receiving adequate care. The family is also in need of bunk beds for the children as well. As stated before anything helps.
Two amazing pre teen girls are in the process of being adopted by their paternal aunt, the only thing standing in the way is that she needs to finalize her divorce before the adoption can go through. She has been making payments to start the process but she could use assistance in getting it paid off so that these girls can finally be adopted and know that they really have achieved permanency.
Please help strengthen this single mother of three. This single mother is soon to deliver a new baby in a week and is currently out of work. Please help us strengthen this single mom by paying her cell phone bill this month.
A mother of a newborn is needing help with consistent transportation that can help her get to her family time visits each week. An uber gift card would be ideal since the bus route would not be practical for her situation.
I have a dad who is working towards reunification with his daughter. He could use assistance with food to ensure he is able to feed his daughter during visits. Additionally, I would like to request a family membership to the zoo or the aquarium so that he can visit outside the home.
A youth (female) who will be aging out in April was just diagnosed with temporomandibular disorder (TMJ). The dentist has recommended she wear a mouth guard at night to help with the effects (such as headaches) from the TMJ. Soonercare has advised they will not pay for the mouth guard. Her transition team is trying to make sure this youth has everything she needs before April. Assistance with getting this mouth guard would help her be able to focus on the bigger things, like college and transitioning into adulthood, and help relieve the stress of how she can meet this need.
Hi there! I have a non-paid kinship placement that is in need of some financial assistance. They have fallen behind on some bills and would greatly benefit from any help that you may be able to provide. Again, this is a non-paid kinship placement and they have been such a blessing to the girls placed in their care. Any help you may be able to provide would immensely appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your time and consideration!
Please help us strengthen this single mother by assisting her with paying her court fines. This single mother has overcome her addiction to alcohol and is maintaining her sobriety by attending treatment. However, in the midst of her addiction she accrued several fines that resulted in her license being suspended. She is now having trouble getting to and from services as well as having trouble accomplishing daily parental duties as her driver's license has been suspended. Please help this mom cover her court fines so she can get her driver's license.
Mother of three has taken placement of four children who are related to her. These children were removed from their past placement and in need of immediate care. Maintaining this placement would keep the children near family and reduce the trauma of relocation. In order to effectively keep them in her care she is in need of transportation that would accommodate all seven children, two of which are still in car seats and one in need of a booster seat. She currently drives a car that seats five and is unable to coordinate transportation to and from school or even take everyone out for fast food. DHS is hoping to at least be able to assist foster mom with a significant down payment or tax and title for her to purchase a vehicle that would meet their needs. However ideas for assistance of any type would be welcome.
This need is for a mother and child who have recently reunified. The mother frequently rides her bike or takes the bus. This one child bike trailer/stroller would allow her child to not have to walk so far to catch the bus and enable her to take the bike when necessary. The one that I found to be the best bargain is at Walmart and is the Allen Sports Deluxe 2-Child Bicycle Trailer & Stroller. It does not need to be this specific brand and can be donated one that is donated rather than purchased new.
