Clutter 2 Care

The parents relocated to Dayton, Ohio from Hamilton County and had some problems finding employment and are unable to pay rent for May 2024. Mother and father both have recently obtained employment in the area and mother is working part-time and father is working full-time and they are working opposite shifts so that they do not have to have daycare for their 1 year old child. The have both been working just over two weeks. Mother is currently pregnant and due in June 2025. The parents have worked hard to obtain everything they need for their daughter and unborn child, but have been unable to save enough money to pay for the May rent due to getting caught up on bills and only having one paycheck each from their jobs. The rent is due on May 3, 2025.

Not having transportation is more than a minor inconvenience for families with small children. This single mom of 2 needs pull-ups for her youngest (size 5T) and doesn't have any way to get them. The family is living on a very fixed income and mom doesn't have a lot wiggle room in her budget. Giving this child the hygiene products she needs will help her stay safe and healthy, even when mom doesn't have the resources she needs to make ends meet.

A loving aunt has been caring for her nephew since his mother passed away in 2018. She only recently made it through the court process to obtain custody. She is working with OhioKAN to secure kinship benefits but she currently has a shut off notice for a water bill of $1343.57. She is self-employed at a hair salon and work has been slower than normal. Also, her older nephew, who is in his young 20’s and employed, had been living with her and helping to pay the utilities but moved out to start a family of his own. The Aunt has been calling MVCAP every Monday as directed to see if she can get support for this bill but keeps being told all the appointments are full and try back next week. She has called some churches who offered to pay $150 towards the bill if she could pay the remaining amount, which she just could not afford to do. She also filled out an application for PRC funds but has not heard back. She is very worried her water will be shut off and we are kindly asking for assistance with any or all of this bill to help her get back on track. She has started picking up additional jobs to increase her income and once the kinship benefits are on board, she will be back on track. We appreciate all you do to support kinship families!

I am currently working with a single father to help him navigate resources and steps to take to help better the well-being and safety of his three young children. This father has been working toward goals with such incredible determination and drive. He has jumped through so many hoops already to get his children in childcare so he can go back to work full-time. He has secured employment and is now looking for additional resources to help get clothing for his children who are needing an upgrade in sizes. I have never worked with such a driven and positive individual when facing such obstacles all on his own. He is in need of the following sizes and looking for multiple outfits for each child: -4T for the 3 year old (boy) -3T for the 2 year old (boy) -6-9 months for the 5 month old

A mother of three has recently faced a very significant cut in her hours at work. While she is looking for a second job, she has had to choose what bills to priortize, leaving her water bill at risk for being shut off. She has a disconnect notice for this Monday 4/28. She has paid what she is able to towards it, leaving $247 that still needs paid by Monday. As you can imagine, the importance of having your water is critcial on so many levels to a child's well being. Laslty, mother is working to partner with St. Vincent De Paul and with First Presebyterian, so the amount needed could be lower. Thank you so much for considering!

A Thirteen-year-old boy living with his mother and adult brother requires a bed and bedding. The child is currently sleeping on an air mattress or a couch. Mother has been working at Domino's Pizza and diligently working to improve their living environment, but has not been able to put enough money together to purchase a bed. The bedroom would accommodate a full-size bed. Fulfilling this need would allow the child a comfortable space and a good night's sleep in his own bed. A single father of two is in need of a birth certificate (cost $25 at local Health Dept.) for him to obtain a state ID so he can apply for employment and other community services and food pantries. He also is in need of a electric stove, due to his stove only having 1 burner that works, and the oven no longer works. This will help with the family to prepare meals to ensure the kids are fed well. The children are in need of clothing and shoes. 5-year-old boy wears a 5t or size xs/5. His shoe size is 10c. Then a 3-year-old, size 4t clothing and shoes 9c. This support for the family will help maintain the household and ensure the children's basic needs are met.

It is no surprise that people are struggling to find a way to make ends meet right now. The rising price of groceries has caused many families to not be able to afford basic necessities. With cuts to the food pantry funding, many of them are no longer able to provide bread, dairy, or eggs. This single mom is trying to make ends meet, but is looking for a little help with these grocery staples. Mom is really great about using available pantries and is trying to keep healthy food in the house, she just needs help with these items. Thank you.

This incredible aunt has been caring for her 13-year-old niece for the last year and a half. She has done everything in her power to provide normalcy for her niece during an otherwise tumultuous time. Aunt was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently going through chemotherapy. As a result, she has been unable to work and finances have become a huge source of stress. Her AES ($713.65), CenterPoint ($317.56), and AT&T ($802.13) bills are all past due and her phone (AT&T) was just shut off. She is trying her hardest to keep her head above water and any assistance toward these bills would mean such a great deal to this family!

Mother of three with a baby due in May needs assistance with her vehicle. She does not have reliable transportation which serves as a barrier getting her children to appointments. She's had recent work on her vehicle but needs a catalytic converter and rear bearings very soon to avoid other problems.

These are foster parents who have fallen on difficult times and need some support paying a bill. This will help alleviate stress for the family and allow them to get back on track with their bills.
