Foster mom has anywhere between 3 and 5 teenagers in her home at any given time. She works will all of her placements on independent living skills to include helping them get jobs and extra curriculars. Currently she has a 13 year old and 16 year old girl that would really benefit from bikes. The 16 year old is currently walking about a mile each way for work and a bike would significantly help in maintain this job. Additionally, the 16 year old helps watch the 13 year old over school breaks so a bike for each girl would be used during this time. Their foster mom has paid for them to have a gym membership that is within biking distance but she is not always available to transport them. Thank you!

This youth was recently placed in a kinship home unexpectedly . The youth's clothing and shoes were disposed of by previous placement. The youth is in need of clothing and shoes. This youth is interested in Nike brand if possible for gift cards, as well as Walmart, Target, Kohls, or Visa Gift Cards. Any support is appreciated.

The youth is waiting for a residential placement. He enjoys reading novels and joke books and would like some books to keep him busy while he waits for placement.

The mother of 15 year old twins died unexpectedly yesterday. The children are staying with maternal grandmother until the Department can come up with a new placement plan for them. The apartment complex they were staying in with their mother is refusing to let them back into the apartment to get any personal belongings. The Department is trying to contact the apartment complex to gain entry, but in the meantime the children have nothing. Requesting a visa card or walmart/target gift card so the children can get hygiene products and basics such as underwear, socks, clean tshirts, etc.

A youth I am working with is applying for jobs. He does not have a car or driver's permit at this time. When talking about how he would physically get to his job, he said he planned to use his first paycheck to buy himself a bike. I asked him if I could use CarePortal to request a bike from the community, he said he would think about it. He finally agreed to allow me to make this request! Single mom who recently became unemployed seeking assistance for a bicycle to use to get to work. She has fallen behind her car payments and reports her car will be repossessed. She hopes to obtain a bike that is "sturdy with good wheels" as she describes needing a bike to support a larger person. I will add a helmet would be useful to ensure safety.

Hello! I have a family that is struggling to make ends meet since they financially helped their extended family flee an unsafe and dangerous situation in Afghanistan to come to the US to live with them. The dad is driving for Door Dash to help supplement some income, but they are still struggling, as they are helping to feed an additional 2 children and 2 adults on top of their own 3 children. This family would really appreciate the help with a King Soopers card to be able to buy groceries. Thank you!

A four-year-old girl is interested in playing soccer and her CASA and caregiver believe it will be a good social outlet for her, as well as a constructive thing to do during the summer. She has not had the opportunity to participate in this kind of extracurricular activity before, so we would love for her to have the chance.
