AGAPE took a DCS Foster Care of a sibling group ages 2 (girl) and 9 months (girl) approximately a month ago. The birth parents have a history of domestic violence and cannot visit their children at the same time. Neither birth parent has safe transportation and will need to take a Lyft to each supervised visitation to see their children. The parents have limited financial resources and would benefit from Lyft Gift Cards so they can see their children. Any funds towards these gift cards would be a huge blessing.

AGAPE serves a sibling group of 4 who are in foster care out of Davidson County. Their father diligently is working his plan to return the children to his care. Due to his hard work the Team and Court are allowing him to begin unsupervised visitation with all four children. The father would be blessed to have assistance with gas money as he will be transporting the children to three different foster homes. Any assistance available would be greatly appreciated.

AGAPE serves a sibling group of two; a brother age 8 and his brother age 6. The older sibling has a significant trauma history and recently disrupted our foster care home to be placed in a residential facility in GA. His foster family continues to stay in contact with him via telephone calls and recently began doing virtually family therapy. The plan for this young child is to return to this foster family once he completes this program. The foster family would like to visit this child for his birthday in June. This trip will be a few nights in a hotel as well as gas to GA. Any funds that could go towards this trip would be greatly appreciated.

Resource Linkage is working with a single mother of 3 children who is barely making it with her current wages, the mother has applied to several small jobs for better income but has not been hired yet. She has a few small bills that will fall behind if she cannot get help in paying. I am asking for a partner to take lead by assisting with payments for the small bills to help her for the remainder of this month. The family has made many strides but a new job with better pay will be the game changer she needs moving forward. We are hoping she gets approved to begin delivering orders again which has provided supplemental income in the past. Anything will help. Thanks in advance!

A Mother needs assistance with groceries and summer clothes for her children after experiencing financial hardship.

The mother is needing transportation to her doctor’s appointments. She is pregnant and is engaged in drug abuse treatment. She currently has no contact with her children per court order due to her ongoing failed drug screens. Her only means of transportation is the IPA placement for her children.

Recently, a parent reached out to us after bravely leaving an abusive relationship, taking only the essentials they could carry. This family is at a turning point with the mother securing approval for an apartment, but they are currently staying with a friend and face the challenge of moving in without many belongings. Once they settle into their new home, they will have to make do with sleeping on the floor. We are reaching out to seek your support in providing some necessities for this family as they begin to rebuild their lives. Your kindness can offer them not only the essentials they need but also a sense of peace and a glimpse of a positive environment during this difficult time.

Child Protective Services, Connecting Forward and Goodwill Career Solutions are working with a single mother of 5 children who is homeless and residing in a hotel. The mother reached out to ask for help with gas and clothing. She is working hard to become stable again and has applications for housing with multiple programs. The family needs community supports and connections to be successful. The mother is unemployed at this time but does have reliable transportation. She is currently working on gainful employment to help support her family better. She is in need of new clothing for herself for job interviews. She only has a few changes of clothes. She has been so worried about her situation and her children she was afraid to ask for help. Any assistance or support in meeting this need is appreciated!

Mr. Tron smith is the brother of the 4 youth that he now has temporary custody of while their mom work her services. Mr. Tron has expressed that he now has to wash clothing for 7 people vs 3 people which is making him wash clothes more often. Mr. Tron is asking for laundry soap, toiletries and house hold items like cleaning supplies. Mr.Tron has access to a washer machine in his unit but has to hang dry the clothing because he does not have a dryer.

A single mom needs to move out because the AC unit in her apartment is broken, and she’s behind on her electric bill. Her baby is 2 months old, and she only has one fan in her room, trying to keep the baby from overheating. The main thing she needs is help paying the electricity bill so she can move to a new unit and cover the necessary service fees. Mom receives Family First and can keep up with the monthly payments if she gets assistance with the past bill.

Ms. Carlissa Holt recently became the IPA for this youth and his two siblings. Ms. Holt can not recieve any finacial assistance at the moment due to the mother still having full custody. Ms. Holt took all three children in because she wanted to help her family and is now running into issues with clothing and diapers and wipes for the infant. The infant is a size 3-6 months in clothing and a size 3 in diapers and MUST use unscented wipes being that scented wipes breaks him out.
