Foster parent currently has her foster child at her place of employment in the mornings for two hours prior to school starting. However, due to the child's complex medical and behavioral needs, the child has had a difficult time adjusting to this arrangement. The child would benefit from attending her school's early morning child care for the remainder 3 weeks of school which would give her a great opportunity to connect with peers and have her needs met.

Mother has worked hard to get where she is right now. She has had difficulty with transportation to and from her services as well as family time. A bus pass will help her out tremendously.

A resilient household of four has recently achieved a remarkable milestone by moving from a hotel to a new apartment. Their dedication and hard work to secure stable housing have been nothing short of inspirational. However, unforeseen challenges have emerged, threatening their fragile progress.

With limited income, the family has been unable to afford furniture, leaving them to sleep on the floor with only minimal blankets for warmth. This situation has taken a physical toll on them, especially the eldest daughter, who recently secured a job to contribute to the family’s finances. Tragically, she fell while attempting to rise from the floor, injuring her knee and forcing her to take time off from work. This setback highlights the urgent need for assistance.

The family is seeking support to acquire beds, which would significantly improve their health, safety, and overall well-being. A small gesture of kindness could make a world of difference for this determined household as they continue to fight for stability and a brighter future.

The maternal grandmother took the two young children in after the mother's mental health has not been managed. The children will be staying with her permanently and she had to move out of the home she had just recently moved into due to it having black mold. One child has autism and there are so many financial changes and needs for this grandmother. She needs a washer and dryer used is fine. She would benefit from a gas card or bill payments help. She could use financial help or anything anyone is willing to help with.

A child has expressed a desire to engage in a cheer camp this summer. This will assist not only the child expand her horizons and interests, but will provide 4 days of day care for the child. The requests also includes a $50 open gym pass where the child can learn and further work on her skills. This will assist in not only developing her skills, but will further connect her with her community and making new friendships.

Child was arrested for stealing socks and pair of underwear from Wal-Mart. She is currently staying with family friends due to mother being homeless and father lives in Texas. Worker has spoke with the family and they are willing to get guardianship for the child. The child is wanting to get back into school and graduate with friends. The family does not have a lot of money to file for guardianship. The cost is $200.00 to file at the court house. The courts have tried to reach out to mom and dad as well as DHS worker. Both parents have not cooperate with DHS.

I am working on a case for a single mother of two children. She is currently attending preventive classes for domestic violence and is making great progress. She is actively seeking employment, but she is having difficulty managing her schedule without a stroller to help transport her one-year-old son and two-month-old daughter. This mother is looking for a new or used double stroller to assist her in safely navigating their daily activities.

A single parent foster home has a child with higher needs to which she has to leave work daily to pick the child up to attend therapy then commute back to work. This request is for funds or a gift card to help put towards gas for this daily commute as therapy does not have a foreseeable end date and additional support is needed for the home. Any contribution to this would be much appreciated to this very deserving family.

Biological mother is working her plan and is currently living in a substance abuse facility. She just moved to this home and still looking for employment to pay the rent to stay there. She is in need of some assistance paying next month's rent and asking for any donation and will be greatly appreciated. She continues to test negative, attend her classes and look for employment, but is needing some assistance.

Biological father has begun working on his ISP and has reliable transportation. He is struggling finding stable housing and employment, but looking everyday for work. He recently had to quit his job and now his phone screen has stopped working and his current phone keeps overheating and not holding a charge. He has a cell service with AT&T and is in need of a phone. He doesn't care about what type of phone or if it is used and not in best condition, he would just like any phone that he can use to receive calls and texts on. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. The $300 request is ball park, but again the phone type does not matter to him.

Spero is helping a single mom with two kids (11 and 12) from Burma move out on her own. This family has been through a lot and we would love to be able to set them up with some furniture items for their new apartment. They move in May 1st and will need beds, a dining table, and a couch. Secondhand items in good condition would be great! Anything to help this family with their fresh start is a huge support. Thank you so much!

This is a request for help obtaining tickets for day admission to the OKC Zoo. A mother and her three children ages (7, 6, & 4) have been in trial reunification for two months. Maternal grandmother also resides in the home and is an added support for the family. They are on a very fixed income and during a home visit with CASA, the mother mentioned she would love to be able to take the kids to the zoo, but that it would be too expensive. The children's basic needs are being met, but extra outings that would provide family fun and enrich their lives, are simply out of reach for this young family. If a church is able to donate tickets for the family, I am confident the family would have the time of their lives. These kiddos have never been to a zoo.
