Navigators are preparing to go out into the community to distribute essential hygiene supplies to homeless families in need. We are currently collecting the following items in bulk:

The Denver Human Services’ Give Center is seeking shopping carts or bags with wheels to support food access for the children and families we serve. The Give Center serves close to 4,000 clients a year who need emergent resources – which include food. By providing the families we serve with food and a means to carry their food items with dignity — we take meaningful steps towards addressing hunger in our community.

Many of the parents, caregivers, and individuals who visit the GIVE Center lack access to reliable transportation, rely on public transit, or have disabilities that make it difficult to carry food. Having carts or wheeled bags readily available will help eliminate barriers and ensure that families—especially those with children—can safely and easily take food home. With your support, clients will be able to walk away not only with the food they need but with the means to carry it without added stress or hardship.

Single mom who recently became unemployed seeking assistance for a bicycle to use to get to work. She has fallen behind her car payments and reports her car will be repossessed. She hopes to obtain a bike that is "sturdy with good wheels" as she describes needing a bike to support a larger person. I will add a helmet would be useful to ensure safety.

Two children have been recently placed into kinship care with their aunt and cousin. This was unexpected and the aunt is needing assistance with getting groceries stocked for the children.

A family with a newborn just recently moved into a hotel from a tent. They're trying to get back on their feet while maintaining sobriety. They would greatly benefit from funds to apply to their hotel and/or a gift card for groceries.

two young boys were recently placed in an emergency placement due to last placement moving out of state. they did not come with any clothes, just shoes. a gift card would help kinship get clothes for children.

Hello, The family is requesting a visa gift card to fund summer programs for the children. There are three children in the home and $500 visa gift card will be able to fund all three children participating in local sporting clubs/events. Ultimately, the enrollment and participation in the activities will connect the children to positive peers supports outside of the home and overall improve their wellbeing. Any partial funding of the requested $500 is also appreciated. Thank you!

The family is currently experiencing homelessness and is actively working with support services to secure stable, permanent housing. The mother is in urgent need of assistance with vehicle registration and a gas card. Her vehicle is essential for transporting her son to critical medical appointments and ensuring her child can attend school consistently. Since their recent eviction, the family has faced numerous hardships, and receiving help with these immediate needs would provide much-needed relief and stability during this challenging time.

This is a single mother with various health concerns. Due to all the health issues she is unable to work. The child is a 12 year old girl who has a hard time fitting in and is constantly picked on at school. They are asking for dressers/ clothing organizers. I can have family send me Amazon links?

A family has recently moved, but had to dispose of their mattresses due to bed bugs. They have 2 boys that are in need of twin mattresses and bedding.

FOC needs assistance with a high chair and stroller. FOC is engaged in his treatment plan and would like the high chair and stroller to assist him in visits and for his daughters first birthday in mid May.

15 year old female is reunifying with her mother. Her mother has had housing instability and has finally gotten a house but needs things for her daughter's room.
