Brothers and Sisters, we have a single mother of 6 children who is pregnant and in need of a vehicle to help with an emergency situation she is currently facing. Her 6 children, ages 14, 11, 5, twins ages 1.5 years and currently pregnant expected in 2 months. One of daughters is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and need constant care. This mother is currently facing an unimaginable hardship in which her oldest child contracted Mono (virus) and has been hospitalized for 4 months now at UCLA. Unfortunately, the doctors now believe that he now has cancer. There are great unexpected incurring medical expenses that the family is trying to figure out how they will finance this new financial challenge. However, the greatest need that this mother faces is transportation. She has been with out a car and due to lack of transportation and she is having to pay for an Uber. She only see's her son at the hospital about once per week due to great financial strain. We are asking if there is a way that you can meet the needs of getting/giving her a vehicle to travel back and forth from home to Los Angeles with her kids. The hardship is immense and we are praying that the Lord will fulfill this need. This mother has a driver's license and is able to maintain the car if one is donated to her.

I am reaching out on behalf of a courageous mother who has recently reunified with her children after a year-long separation. She is working hard to create a safe and stable home for her three young children—all under the age of 4.

At this time, the family is in urgent need of the following items to support the children’s development and ease the mother’s daily responsibilities:

• A child’s walker to support one of the children who is learning to stand and walk. • A two-seater stroller to allow the mother to safely transport her children to and from appointments and essential outings.

Any support in meeting these needs would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping reduce stressors for the mother as she rebuilds her family’s foundation. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the life of this family.

Family consists of three siblings (ages 4. 5 and 12). On 10/10/2023, the children were separated during detention. The 12 yo child was released to his father who lives out of state. The 12yo child was parentified and all three children were very close. The children facetime together once a week; however, they have not physically seen each other since placement date of 10/10/2023. The two younger children constantly ask to see their older brother. Most recently, the 12year old's father was incarcerated, and he is now residing with his stepmother. The oldest child struggles emotionally as he misses his younger siblings. The 12yo child will be visiting from out of state and assistance is being requested to help purchase Knott's Berry Farm tickets for the three children and 2 chaperones. It will be the first time the children have ever visited Knotts Berry Farm which will leave a lasting memorable day. Spending the day together and exploring a new day of fun.

I have a foster student who is new to the area and is requesting a scooter to help him get to school.

A grandmother is preparing for an upcoming surgery and will be spending time in a recovery home as she heals. During this period, her grandson will be staying with extended family. While she focuses on her health, she is deeply concerned about ensuring he has enough nutritious food and essentials while she is away.

We are reaching out to the community for support. Any assistance—whether through grocery gift cards, or sponsorships—would be immensely appreciated to help provide for her grandson during this challenging time.

I work with clients who are currently navigating open investigations that have not yet entered the system. One of my clients is a pregnant woman who is focused on ensuring a healthy start for her unborn child and preventing her unborn child from entering the system. She has recently found a small apartment. However, she is starting from scratch, facing the challenge of furnishing this new space with no belongings of her own. Providing her with assistance to acquire essential furniture and household items would not only help create a comfortable and safe place for her child but also empower her to build a stable environment where her family can thrive and grow together. Hello, we have a special request on behalf of a young family in our community. Their baby is struggling with weight gain, and after trying multiple feeding strategies, they’ve been advised to use a specific formula that’s both expensive and hard to find: Enfamil EnfaCare Infant Formula Powder, 13.6 oz.

These young parents have been tirelessly caring for their baby, sticking to a strict feeding schedule and doing everything they can to help her grow. Recently, the father broke his leg and is now waiting for surgery. He was the only income provider and has been unable to work, putting their housing situation at risk.

After previously experiencing homelessness while the mother was pregnant, they’ve worked hard to get into a place of their own. Now, with this unexpected setback, they’re facing real challenges again — despite how much they’ve tried to stay on their feet.

They’re active in our community events and always show up with kind hearts and a willingness to connect. We’re asking if any churches or community partners may have access to Enfamil EnfaCare 13.6 oz formula, or if there’s any rental assistance available to help them during this difficult time.

My kin caregiver is currently caring for her (2) 19-year-old great nephews who arrived separately in 2006 and 2019. She has since adopted her great nephew who arrived as a 6-month-old infant in 2006 and currently cares for her great nephew who was placed with her at 14 years old in 2019. The great aunt lives on a fixed income and serves as the sole provider to her household of three. Recently, a large split began forming on the family’s dining room table from wear-and-tear and the table has started to wabble. As a result, the table no longer provides a safe, stable place for her nephews to eat their meals. Additionally, an ergonomic, adjustable computer chair is needed for her great nephews’ bedroom, as their current computer chair has incurred significant wear-and-tear. Due to her limited resources, along with recent economic hardships, replacing these items poses a significant challenge for my kin caregiver. Assisting her with a dining table (approximately 56.25” length x 36” width x 36” height) and an ergonomic, adjustable computer chair would not only ensure that her great nephews have a comfortable place to enjoy their meals and entertain themselves in their downtime, but would also enable them to bond with one another.

Single mother of 2 young children with a baby due in June. She was homeless but was able to move into housing and keep her children with her. She is in need of 2 car seats for her kids, currently she is unable to drive because she cannot afford car seats. She is a great mom that has worked hard to give her kids a new life but now she needs to make sure she is able to transport them safely. Here are the links to the type of car seat she is needing. These kids have experienced a hard life, and we would love to see them thrive and feel safe and this is a great start to aid in supporting them. Grandmother who is currently a Foster Parent for her three grandchildren needs help with paying two utility bills. The caregiver is a single woman doing her best to provide for her three grandchildren. She has been caring for her granddaughter since February of this year and has fallen behind on her utility bills, if this is not paid the DWP and gas will turn off services (the electricity, water and gas) and the children will possibly lose their stable home that she has had for the last five months. The Foster Parent/Grandmother is in desperate need of assistance with paying her utility bill to keep providing a stable, loving and safe home for the three grandchildren. When this need is met the grandmother will be grateful for this assistance and her grandchildren will not be in jeopardy of being taken out of the current home, they have been living in for the past five months, the three grandchildren will stay in the safe, loving environment with her grandmother.

KINSHIP. Maternal Grandmother was the Legal Guardian of her 11-year-old grandson. Last month the 11 yar-old died by suicide. The caregiver is grief stricken at this time and in need of support. She asked for assistance with groceries in the form of a gift card to WinCo Foods. The family can utilize all avenues of support at this delicate time.

Kinship. This family was affected by the LA Wildfires and this is for Disaster Relief. Kin Caregiver is currently caring for two teenage boys, and the family was displaced due to the LA wildfires. The family is currently staying at a motel. The home did not burn down but it was damaged, and they had to move out. The landlord has the caregiver in limbo because the landlord is not sure what she will do with the property. The caregiver is paying for 2 rooms nightly which totals $160.00 before taxes. Paying for the rooms, food and gas has been a lot for her. The caregiver stated that she is need of assistance with housing, gas for her car (ARCO) funding for groceries ( Walmart or Food 4 Less), the hotel rooms daily payment as well as clothing and hygiene products for the two teenage boys. She is not working right now but wants to find employment. She receives funding for the boys. She also stated that it is difficult to find employment right now due to being displaced. She is requesting the following: hotel assistance- $500, grocery gift card to Walmart or Food 4 Less-$400, gas gift to Arco-$200.00, clothing and shoes for children- $300.00 (each child) and gift card for hygiene products- $100.00 (each child).
