I would like to request a Queen-sized air mattress for a young girl who is a survivor of sexual assault, who needs a bed to sleep on while we wait for an actual mattress, that could take 6 weeks to receive. The child is returning home to her mother on Friday and has no bed to sleep on as the air mattress the mother used the last of her money to get, popped last night. The mother is working but barely making enough to provide for her two children. The mother has left their abuser and has made huge efforts in putting her life back together for the sake of her children. This is a single mother supporting herself and her children with limited assistance. The mother and Children’s Division would like to welcome the little girl home with a safe space to sleep.

I have a mom requesting help with rent. Her husband was killed at the beginning of the month while on a getaway with their son (he witnessed the incident) and he was the primary financial provider. She is trying to get all the kinks worked out, but she is asking for any kind of help with her rent until she can find a new place or find other arrangements. She has said that she would be grateful for any amount or recommendations. Her rent a month was $1300.

This family was recently impacted by a natural disaster and has been staying at different family member's homes. They are finally able to move to a new home, but one child is medically complex and needing a large suitcase to take all his belongings and medical equipment with him on the move, as the family will travel by public transportation.

Natural mother is working to improve her home for the safety of her four children. After years of drug use, the natural mother is clean and in rehab and is working to reintegrate with her children. Given the extensive amount of drug use that occurred in the home, the mother is redoing the house to make sure her children are safe. The mother has finished redoing her floors and has gotten rid of all of the furniture. This mom is requesting assistance with getting new living room furniture, specifically couches or a living room chair. Once the mother has finished cleaning the home and replacing the furniture, she will be able to have visitation in her home in hopes to return her children to her care.

Mother has recently lost her job and is currently facing financial hardship. She urgently needs assistance to cover the cost of retrieving her car from a repair shop. If the payment is not made within 24 hours, the shop will have the vehicle towed, resulting in additional fees and complications.

Student only has one pair of sneakers that has rips in them. Family is currently displaced and can not afford sneakers.

Mother of three children needs urgent assistance by 05/31/2025 as she is currently homeless after being forced to leave a shelter and having been robbed by someone she trusted. The family is currently staying in a longterm hotel while mother waits for her voucher to come through or finds another shelter where she and her family can stay. Mother is working but had to use her last paycheck on her car. and the first week at the hotel. She will not get paid again until 06/16/2025

The amount requested would cover a full week. Children's Division is seeking additional funding at this time and mother is reaching out to other providers but if she does not have the necessary funds by 05/31/2025, she and her children will be out on the street.

I am a social worker working with family that is need of a high-chair. The child is engaging in feeding therapy to strengthen their oral intake to be able to eat on their own as they currently requires a g-tube to meet nutritional needs. Having a high-chair would assist in fostering an environment for exploration of foods and meeting therapy goals for baby to be able to eat by mouth. Thank you for consideration of this need!

Asking for assistance with utility bills that are past due. Mother has baby admitted in the NICU for over 2 months awaiting heart surgery. Mother also is her 17 year old brother's legal guardian. Mother's brother was in a car accident and has a traumatic brain injury. He now lives with mother full-time. Mother normally works but has not been able to since baby was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 2 months ago. Mother has just started back to work but is unable to pay the past due utility bills. Mother is requesting assistance with Spire gas bill and KC Water water bill. Both are in danger of being shut off. Spire bill is $215.99 and KC Water bill is 272.99. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Grandmother caring for her two-year-old granddaughter in Wyandotte County is needing assistance. She is trying to potty train the child and is requesting a potty chair (not a toilet seat for the toilet), training panties size 2T/3T and summer clothing sized 3T. Good morning Care portal team, at DCCCA in Mission Kansas we are requesting your amazing help. We are in need to re-stock multiple items in our food pantry, and are seeking your support with items needed for families. DCCCA families who are currently houseless, are in dear need for the following items: Protein items, such as 10 packets of chicken nuggets, 6 packages of tights/drum sticks, 8 small packages of ground beef, 10 packages of hot dogs, 5 bags of apples, 5 bags of mandarin oranges, 5 boxes of ramen, 5 bags of frozen veggies, and 4 boxes of hot packets. Other items needed are baby wipes, and mac & cheese. All of these items are essential for those struggling with food insecurities, your help will make a huge impact among the families we will distribute these to. Combined family received a shut off notice for their electric service. Family has reached out for assistance but needs a bit of immediate help so they don't lose their refrigerated supplies and AC. Family is working and should be good for the future once this bill is taken care of
