Young woman who just aged out of foster care and moved into her own place is needing a few items to get started in her new place. specifically needing a microwave to have in her kitchen. Thanks for the much needed support!

We have a young mom in our program who recently aged out of foster care and is also working hard to reunify with her toddler son who is currently in foster care. When she moved into her apartment she was given some handy down furniture, however, there have been concerns that the furniture isn't safe. She would like to get a new (or used) couch that is safe for her toddling 1 year old.

A single Mom with 6 children is needing assistance with gas. The family lives in Ellinwood but the children go to school in Great Bend. The mother has had so many doctor appointments with the children in Great Bend, Salina and Kansas City that she has been fired from her jobs for taking so much time off. The mom has been dependent on the grandmother to help with transportation to school and back home, but the grandmother cannot help at this time. Mom does side jobs to help support the family, but she cannot depend on that income regularly. She needs help with getting gas to take her children to school on Monday and for the rest of the school year. She has a large vehicle which burns a lot of gas. She is very appreciative of any assistance she receives and helps other families when she can.

One of the children will need surgery in June out of town and she will need help then as well. The child's medical card will reimburse for transportation, but she will need to have gas to get there to and back.

CHILDREN WERE TAKEN OUT OF THEIR MOTHER'S HOME AND PLACED INTO THEIR FATHER'S HOME. CHILDREN'S CLOTHES WERE TOO SMALL. DAD IS IN NEED OF HELP OF GETTING CLOTHES FOR KIDS THAT FIT. ONE CHILD IS NEEDING SIZE 18 TOPS AND SIZE 16/18 BOTTOMS (THIS KID IS UNCOMFORTABLE WEARING ANYTHING OTHER THAN HOODIES AND BAGGY SHORTS/PANTS) THE OTHER CHILD IS A SIZE 14/16 AND MAINLY NEEDS TOPS. ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE FATHER WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

We have a student who owes fees from high school. She has been homeless a couple different times, her mom has struggled to take care of her. She works but does not have the money to pay off the fees.

This single father has been struggling to get back on his feet and has faced many challenges with criminal activity and substance use. He has shown great progress over the last few months and is working toward getting his children reintegrated back into his home. His progress has included getting a house to rent, keeping a job and getting into services. He is struggling to provide the appropriate size bedding for this children. The family has had three queen mattresses donated to them but there was no bedding to be donated. Items sought; Thank you for your consideration.

The male child would like dark blue or black bedding set for a queen bed. The sixteen year old daughter would like light blue or teal bedding for a queen size bed 10 year old daughter would like Pink or purple bedding for a queen size bed. ​

A single mother just recently got an apartment after leaving a domestic violence situation. Mother has put in a lot of effort to utilize low income housing to obtain a new apartment and is now asking for help getting a set of bunk beds, in good used condition is okay, she is also asking for assistance in delivery and set up of the frame. Mother is also seeking twin size mattresses for the bunk bed set along with bedding for those two beds. She also has a two year old daughter in a toddler bed, the bed has been provided but she is seeking help getting bedding for her daughters toddler bed.

L is a teenager who struggled with bad choices early in 2024 and found herself in custody after being on the run. She has since turned her behavior around and is now working at a grocery store, finishing online school, and doing her best to make safe and sound choices. Her placement home (a single mother of 4), who is also her godmother, is helping her get a vehicle. Even with a job, it is a large burden to pay for a vehicle when starting from nothing. This request is for the tags and taxes to register a vehicle, but any other monetary donation to even get a down payment on the vehicle is also welcome. Any consideration in regards to this request is appreciated. Thank you.

The family recently moved to the area and did not have a kitchen table or chairs. The family has since been assisted with obtaining a kitchen table but still needs chairs. They are hopeful to increase family bonding and individual responsibility with being able to sit down together for meals and also being responsible for their own "clean-up" areas. Plastic or metal folding chairs would work great for the family, and they will need 7 preferably at this time. Specific color does not matter, just neutral/matching with black, grey, or white.

Client referred to Client Liaison as family is in dire need of help with extermination services for their home. There are 2 families residing together in the home. 4 children ages 6, 8, 13 and 15 along with 4 adults. The home has bed bugs, cockroaches and some mice. The family has limited income and is unable to effectively treat the home. Mother is also asking for assistance with organizing the home as there is a lot of people residing there and a lot of chaos. The home was fumigated per mom about 2 or 3 years ago, but the issue has returned. Ridding the home of these infestations will significantly improve the safety and quality of the children's lives as well as preventing possible illness from the exposure. Mother is open to having someone give guidance and support in regard to the upkeep of the home. Mom indicates that she feels safest when she is at work and not in the home. Mother is currently employed part time 21 hours a week. She rents the home from her mother who is unable to afford to treat the home as well. Mother is aware that the home will need to be cleaned up in order to have extermination services be effective.

This is a single mom of two children. She's been having to help more recently with her own parents' health as well. She works full time and still struggles to meet ends meet managing herself, the children, and her extended family. She is behind on bills and is asking for assistance. She currently owes $1080.18.

Family was able to pay some of the bill in order to get electricity back on but still owe $500. Any help would be appreciated.
