I am working with a biological mother of five children. Mom is compliant with services and recognizes she needs help achieving sobriety. Mom has agreed to go to medical detox followed by inpatient care. Mom has identified past due rent as a barrier that would postpone or potentially prevent her from going to detox and inpatient care. Mom's monthly rent is just below $200 a month and she is behind by three months. Mom is currently looking for employment in order to pay the past due balance but could prioritize her sobriety and postpone job seeking if there was no past due balance.

Hello! I have a 15 year old girl who just recently reunited with her bio mom. She has been through a few placements before getting back to bio mom and would love to have some things she has lost along the way! She is in need of tennis shoes size 8 in women's. She had weighted blankets she lost in a previous home and needs those as well. She would love some summer clothes/dresses, she wears size medium in shirts/dresses. She is petite and Caucasian. She likes make-up and likes to dye her hair temporary colors. She would be grateful for anything else that can be gifted or donated for a teenage 15 year old girl! Thank you!!

We have a 15 year old boy who was placed in OHS custody last night in Tulsa. He's only been in Oklahoma for one month and hasn't made many connections. He's currently in the office waiting for placement. Placement searches can take many hours since the search includes all placements across the state. This teen is needing hygiene items and groceries while he's in the office.

The request for hygiene items and groceries would include products for African American teen males such as body wash/soap, hair products, deodorant. Nonperishable food items such as microwavable noodles, bread, peanut butter, fruit cups, cereal, snack packs.

These items will enhance his wellbeing by meeting physical needs.

A sweet family took placement of a child in March, and they are not receiving any financial assistance from OKDHS at this time. Throughout the placement, the family has managed their finances well. After paying their monthly expenses at their original location this month, they were informed their landlord sold the property and requested the family to move immediately; after making all required bill payments and rent at the location. The family has located a new residence. They were able to make the initial deposit and take care of moving expenses. However, they are now short of $300 for rent for the new residence.
They have reached out to community resources and have been unsuccessful with obtaining assistance. As a last resort the family has reached out to OKDHS for assistance to help cover the remaining $300. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Without having the added expenses for the future months to come, the family will be back on track in managing their bills. The family and I thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Bio mom lives alone with no furniture, all she had was an air mattress which recently popped. So she is currently sleeping on the hardwood floors and would be extremely grateful to have a mattress.

The Demand Project (TDP) exists to eradicate human trafficking, online enticement, child sexual abuse material, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. One of the ways we do this is through our residential campus for teen girls who have been victim of this. Currently we are looking for a modest bathing suit for one of the residents we serve who has the opportunity to attend a church camp in a couple of weeks. Right now as we are working to find her a job and a daycare she is in need of a bus pass. She does not have a car and saves up the money she does have for her children. A bus pass for a week is $20 and this would be helpful as is trying to find a job.

A courageous mother who has recently been reunited with her five children after experiencing periods of homelessness. She and her children have now secured stable housing, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward stability. As we work together to help her find employment and reliable childcare, one immediate need is transportation. She does not own a vehicle and prioritizes her limited resources to care for her children. A weekly bus pass, priced at $20, would greatly assist her in attending job interviews and securing employment opportunities. If you are able to contribute to this need, your support would make a meaningful difference in her path to self-sufficiency. A family is working a prevention case with OKDHS. Two young kids are currently placed out of home while the parents work hard to correct conditions to make it safe for the children to return home. The mother of these children is making quick progress. She has just gotten a good job that will help her family greatly. She has a vehicle but it is not running. She needs to get it running to be able to have transportation back and forth to work. The car needs a battery and an alternator to be operational. We are asking for help with providing this family with a battery and an alternator to help provide transportation for her employment and to allow her to visit her kids more often since she will not have to share a vehicle. Thank you for carefully considering this request and for all the help you all generously provide the families of our community.

Grandmother is the foster parent of her granddaughter which is currently is DHS custody. Grandmother has been trying very hard to make ends meet being that she is living off SSI. Grandmother is asking for help to transport her granddaughter back and forth to school. Grandmother is also very low on groceries and is seeking anything that can help her prepare full course meals for her granddaughter. Grandmother has not received any help financially and has reached out for help. Please contact me if you are willing to help a grandmother in need.

This family is needing help with transportation to get to all of their appointments and meetings. Natural Mother and Natural father will each needs bus vouchers to participate in court recommended services.

We have a mother and daughter who have been brought back together. We have observed the mother and child to have a great bond. The mother just moved into a new apartment and will be starting a new job in the next couple of weeks. The mother has overcame many obstacle's in her life, and during our interaction with the mother we have observed an amazing turn around in her life. She is needing assistance with her rent and only has a short window of time to do so. If this barrier can eliminated it will help the mother save for incoming bills. We would like to add that this is a one time ask, because the mother believes she will be able to meet all of the needs in the home once she starts working full time.
