Hello, we have a biological mom who is in trial reunification with her two children. She recently lost her job but quickly found a job so it would not disrupt the girls. She is a bio mom who is resilient and does everything she can to provide for her girls. She is short on rent and we don’t want her to lose her place of stay and cause a disruption to the girls placement

The family has added 3 children to their household and recently had a job change that is impacting their immediate financial situation negatively. The family is requesting assistance with groceries until their new monthly income begins.

Hello everyone, I have a family on my caseload that consists of a single mom and her two teenagers. Both teenagers want to enroll in driving school. Both of these teenagers are doing amazingly well in school and are working part-time jobs to save for a car once they are licensed. As a single mom, making a fresh start for her family, she is simply not able to afford the classes for both kids. This mom is struggling to work, attend services, and also transport both children to school and work. Each child will need $390.00 to attend the classes. These are really great kids, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone, I have a family on my caseload who is working hard to ensure their home is safe. They have a 7-year-old boy whose A/C unit in his room broke during the winter. This summer is expected to be very harsh. I am requesting $150.00 so they can purchase him a new one before the summer weather starts. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone, I have a family that is doing very well. This family has gone through some traumatic events and come out stronger. One of the parents was required to take 52 weeks of batterer's intervention classes. They have done amazingly and only have 6 classes left. They are required to pay $25 per class and have to pay $75 for an exit exam. This has cost them $1375 in total, and they have never requested financial assistance. I am writing in hopes that someone is willing to fund their exit exam that is coming up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I have a wonderful kinship foster mother who could use a little bit of help. She has placement of a teen, along with her own teen in the home. She works full time at a local mental health facility and also assists her adult daughter (who is disabled) with her own children, two of which are special needs. This lady has a heart of gold and would never ask anyone for anything but would give anyone her the shirt off her back. She lives in a small three bedroom rental and each time I have been to the home, she is so apologetic about "the mess". She is so embarrassed by the state of her home, which is just cluttered with stuff everywhere...clothes scattered about in the bedrooms, things all over the kitchen since it is so tiny with limited cabinet space. She has talked numerous times about how the home has absolutely no storage at all since it is an older home, and she knows the home needs some attention, but she simply has nowhere to put things. I offered to request a home organizer to come out and help her, but she said she is too prideful for that. But when I offered some dressers and storage items, she agreed. So that is my request...this client would be IMMENSELY grateful to have some dressers, and some shelving for their bedrooms/kitchen. This would help enhance the comfort and live-ability of the home for everyone and would take a load off her back. Any assistance you can provide to this sweet lady would be so appreciated!

A strong single mom of 3 had to move out of her apartment into a new house and has come short on bill payments. This mom is unable to get her gas started and needs to start the service as soon as possible. It will take approximately $200 to start this service in her home.

Please help a new kinship home keep placement. Two 10-year-old twins have been placed with their grandparents while mom works on services to better her life. One of the twins has down syndrome and is special needs. She is a bright happy child that is non-verbal and has a feeding tube. Mom is driving 120 miles daily to help care for her daughter and is in desperate need of assistance for gas. The child also only was sent home with two outfits from the hospital after getting her feeding tube. Her other clothes no longer fit due to the much-needed weight gain that the feeding tube has helped with. She is needing girls size 10-12 clothing. The family is also in need of pull ups for the child. Any help for this family would be a blessing. Thank you!

A child has expressed a desire to engage in a cheer camp this summer. This will assist not only the child expand her horizons and interests, but will provide 4 days of day care for the child. The requests also includes a $50 open gym pass where the child can learn and further work on her skills. This will assist in not only developing her skills, but will further connect her with her community and making new friendships.

Child was arrested for stealing socks and pair of underwear from Wal-Mart. She is currently staying with family friends due to mother being homeless and father lives in Texas. Worker has spoke with the family and they are willing to get guardianship for the child. The child is wanting to get back into school and graduate with friends. The family does not have a lot of money to file for guardianship. The cost is $200.00 to file at the court house. The courts have tried to reach out to mom and dad as well as DHS worker. Both parents have not cooperate with DHS.

Parent is in need of vehicle repairs for her car. It is her only means of transportation to and from work, attend court and services, and see her children who are currently in OHS custody. Parent desires to be self-sufficient as she makes an effort to reunify with her son.
