Hello! We have a family who could use some help with groceries. This family is a placement for one of our children and need a little relief financially with the child being home for the summer. This could help tremendously! A little assistance can help preserve this placement! A grocery card would be helpful so that the family may shop for what they need!

Please consider this family. Children are currently placed with grandmother while mom completes her parenting classes and other services. Grandmother would love for her and the children to ride the bicycle in the afternoons. Children are in need of some bicycles. Both children are boys, and the sizes would be 24" and 18". Please consider this family. Single mom needs some help fixing her windows at her house. There are 3 broken windows, and one window needs plexiglass fixed. Mom has suffered from domestic violence and is wanting to move out of her home to start over. To do that, she would need her windows repaired. Mom does not really have the resources to fix them. She would greatly appreciate the help from the community.

Child is currently placed with paternal great aunt. This is a kinship placement process with this family. Parents have not been taking formula for the child, due to having visitation suspended. There was a CarePortal request for Gentle Ease Enfamil, but wrong formula was delivered. DSS is asking for assistance with this in the form of formula, or a gift card to Walmart so that she may purchase, though aunt is currently recovering from knee surgery and not able to drive..

Good Morning. I want to start off thanking you all for everything you do. I have a family that is needing some furniture. They have a son that has outgrown his bed. She also is in need of another bed for herself. She stated that she needs them to be full size due to the space of her home. She is also being forced to move out of her home at the beginning of next month due to her landlord selling her home. If there is any way you all can help provide some furniture so that when she moves, she will have the appropriate things for her home. A single mother of two small children that is also expecting a new child in August who is in need of some assistance. Mom is unemployed at this time as she moves closer to her due date of the new baby. Her oldest daughter is need of a car seat were she has out grown her current seat. She is a 48 lb. toddler.

The family consists of mom and her three children. She works hard to care for them. She has requested assistance with new beds for the two oldest children (twin bed frame + mattress) as well as diapers for the youngest child. The family currently has bunk beds but the mattresses have worn out and the mother has requested two separate beds for the children, rather than bunk beds. DSS is also assisting with putting in referrals for services for the family. Please consider helping this family!

I am writing to request support for a family in our community who has been facing significant challenges this year. A devoted grandmother is currently caring for four young children, one of whom has autism & is receiving support services to help manage behavioral and developmental concerns. The children’s mother has recently returned to the children’s lives & the family has been working diligently to create a stable, supportive, & nurturing environment for the children. Outdoor play is an important part of the children’s daily routine, for all the children, but especially for one child who uses it as a coping mechanism. Unfortunately, their lawnmower recently broke, & the grass has grown too tall for safe and comfortable play. The grandmother has made efforts in trying to cut the grass with a pair of scissors, but it’s causing more physical issues with her back. Due to the overgrown grass, the children are now spending most of their time indoors, which has been difficult for them. I am reaching out to see if there is any assistance available to provide this family with a functioning push lawnmower so the children can once again enjoy their time outdoors. Any support would be deeply appreciated. This simple tool would make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of this family & help them continue creating a safe, happy space for their children. Family of 4 is currently looking for assistance with enrolling their 7-year-old in a summer camp to provide her with much-needed recreation and socialization with children her age. Child is currently full-time in her mother and stepfather's care, due to a CPO against the biological father. The family is having financial difficulties due to the children being in their home 100% of the time, and the father refusing to contribute financially. Her stepfather has taken time away from his job to provide childcare for the children this summer, which also contributes to their financial problems. The Department is willing to fund 1 week of summer camp and we are asking for assistance to fund the other week. Thank you for considering this request.

The family is requesting material items for one of their 4 children in the home. This child is in need of new socks, boxers and white T-shirts. The family relies on the father's income to financially provide and they requested assistance with some material needs. A request of material needs was made previously for the other three children in the home and those needs were met! The family would be appreciative of any help they receive with the below requested items: -Socks(shoe size 7 in men) -Boxers(size 14-16) -White t-shirts(NOT dry fit, size 14-16)

Children are placed outside of the home due to substance use by parent and where they were residing is not appropriate for the children to be there (dirty home). Daughter is placed with her grandmother who helped raise her. Caretaker does work with school, but is out for 3 months and on fixed income, she needs help with some necessities. Child needs personal items like underwear and socks and shoes, some clothing. FSS Brown is asking CarePortal for a Walmart gift card.
