I have a teen mother with one child who is at risk of homelessness. She was working at a Family Child Care Center that temporary got closed down in April, so she started door dashing to make ends met until she is able to find gainful employment with Walmart in July, during that two month transtion she fall behind on her rent. Her rent is $930.00 per month with late fees the total has rose to $2800. She reached to me for resources. I referred her to 211 and Upward Transitions her case was sent to a data pool based on urgent needs. She has been in communication with the landlord and they are trying to work with her however she has been served eviction papers and went to court last week. The apartment complex/ landlord is giving her time to pay. Now that she has established fulltime employment at walmart she is able to subtain her monthly rent. Stable living is crucial for this single and teen mother for a variety of reasons. It’s not just about providing a roof over their head but about creating an environment where both the mother and child can thrive emotionally, physically, and socially. A grandmother is currently caring for her 3- and 1-year old grandsons. Grandmother recently had surgery on her foot and will be out of work for several weeks without pay. Grandmother would benefit from assistance with her current gas bill to keep her utility on until she is able to return back to work.

A foster parent is in need of assistance with paying her electric bill so that she can continue to care for her nieces and nephew who are in custody. She is in need of $200 to help pay her electric bill, as she has been paying for the needs of the children leaving less to cover other bills. If she receives this help, she will be able to continue caring for the kids and making sure they have a safe home with a relative while their parents work to reunify with them.

We have a young mother who has been working hard to be reunited with her young child. Currently the only thing standing in her way is past due payment on a utility bill of 228.33. This amount is needed for her to be able to move the utilities to her new place. Once this is taken care of the child and their mother will be able to share the same home. In providing the family with this need, you would be helping a bio family reunite. This young woman again has worked hard to meet her goals and get to this moment.

We are needing help with the purchase of a water heater for a family who is preparing for reunification. The water heater that they currently have consistently leaks and needs to be replaced. The parents are completing their services and cleaning up their home to move toward unsupervised visits with their eight children. The father is able to install the water heater himself once received.

Hello, I am currently working with a biological grandparent who will be taking in her two grandsons, ages 2 year old and 9 months old. They have been approved to take the children in and they are currently making their home appropriate for them to come. They have expressed needing some help with getting a toddler bed with bedding, as well as a pack and play. They have all of the other necessary items needed to care for the children. We are asking if there is anybody able to help fulfill this need, so the children can return back to their home safely. Your consideration in helping this family is greatly appreciated!

This request is to help pay registration fees and to purchase uniforms and equipment for a child to be able to participate in summer football. The family consists of a single mom, who is disabled, and an 8yro Autistic boy. Mom has been off work on medical leave since March and has just now been able to return to work. Due to her being on leave, mom has only been able to pay for essential living needs and cannot afford the requested fees and equipment. As an Autistic child, this young man has some behavioral issues that sometimes comes along with this diagnosis. We have found that he really enjoys football and would like for him to be able to build on the skills that he learned while participating in football the previous summer. Football is also a great outlet for him to be able to release some of his built-up energy and aggression, allows him to be able to focus, provides an opportunity to work on his teambuilding and group participation skills, as well as allows him to work on social/emotional skills that can sometimes be hard for autistic children. I would like to say thank you in advance for any help that can be provided for this family. This will go a long way towards helping a child be able to do something that he loves and towards helping to relieve a burden from his mother's shoulder.

We are seeking assistance in providing a full or queen-sized bed for a compassionate teenage boy who has outgrown his current one. His mattress is in poor condition, with sharp springs protruding, causing him back pain and sleepless nights. He shares his room with his emotional support animals, and there is growing concern that one of his small ESA dogs could get seriously injured by the exposed springs. This young man selflessly helps care for his disabled mother and never complains, despite how hard things have been for them. Their income is extremely limited, and replacing the bed just isn’t possible on their own. He gives so much love and care to his family and his animals; he deserves a safe place to rest. A new bed would mean the world to this family, and even more to a young man who gives everything he has just to make sure others are okay.

Bio mom needs help with gas to go to weekly family times in the Tulsa area. It would help her out and remove the barriers for her.
