The mother's newborn was placed into custody and the mother is homeless with no phone and no means of being able to stay in touch with her case worker, service providers, or attorney once she is released from the hospital to maintain services and be able to have contact for arranging family time with the newborn during the case.

Parents need your help paying the summer camp fee of $675 in order to provide a positive peer opportunity for their 14 year old son with other disabled children. Their son is non-verbal, autistic and an epileptic. One of the parents’ plans to attend this camp with their son. This young boy needs and deserves lots of positive interaction with peers in a supervised and safe atmosphere so he can experience new things available at this camp. By covering even a portion of the camp fee, you will be making a huge difference in this family’s life. This boy will be able to zip line through the woods, jump off a diving board amidst a cheering crowd and create a lifelong relationship with a camp friend among many other camp activities.
The Family and Child Welfare thank you for considering assisting with this fee. Again, any donation amount will go to pay for this young boy’s camp fee.

Help is needed for a foster mom who has had a recent infestation of bed bugs. Foster mom has 3 kids total in her home, one of which has been bitten multiple times. These bed bugs have spread throughout the home and is now affecting the children and foster mom's well being. Foster mom has had to spend countless hours having to strip her home of the infested items and cleaning. Extermination fee's are incredibly expensive and this has placed a hardship on the foster mom as she has recently had to replace her plumbing system. Helping to cover the cost of the extermination fee's will help preserve the placement of these children and improve the peace and well-being of everyone inside the home. Any and all help for this family is appreciated! Updated on June 06, 2023 by an Agency Worker The amount needed has decreased. The total needed now is $1,250.

I have a mom who got behind on the rent when she had to take off work to have a baby. She's been able to get almost all the way caught up but is still a little short. With her rent caught up, we'll feel more secure in closing her case, knowing she has a safe place for her children to stay.

Please consider helping a mother and father with a new convertible car seat for their baby. Today is their baby girl's first birth day and she is in need of a bigger car seat. The parents have been progressing in their case and have been able to move to unsupervised family time with their daughter. They are also transporting her during their family time together. They were previously able to use the foster parents' car seat and were not prepared to have to buy a new one just yet. A new car seat is a big expense for them as they do not have much money. Thank you for your consideration.

We are currently working with a family of five in Payne County. The family has been working services since January 6th. The family has been cooperative and engaged in services. Mom is currently unemployed and has been applying for local jobs on a regular basis, with no luck. There are three small children, ages 3, 2, and 1. The family would benefit from a child's table and chairs for the children to be able to sit together and eat, also to do crafts and color. In meeting this need, the family would be given hope to move forward and feel supported by the community surrounding them. Thank you for your consideration in meeting this need. You are so appreciated!
I have 2 bio parents that do not have transportation at this time and they are in trial reunification with their children. They both are needing assistance with transportation to complete services and get to jobs. They both are in need of a 31 day bus pass to help assist with their transportation barrier. Meeting this need would help these parents to finish their treatment plan and complete their case successfully.

Good afternoon. I’m Christina Flowers, a school-based specialist with Union Public Schools. I’m currently working with a family that consists of a single mother with five children 7 years old and younger. This mom recently started a new job and fell behind on her rent while in between jobs. She was also making large payments toward a debt she owed to avoid garnishment. This single mother agreed to a settlement for this debt that required her to pay a certain amount with the balance being written off. She has reached out to multiple resources provided to her but has been unsuccessful with receiving assistance. This mother is seeking assistance to help her family remain in their home. She stated with assistance she’ll be able to maintain her rent moving forward. The monthly rent is $1200, the outstanding balance is $2750, but any amount will be greatly appreciated.

A mom and dad are experiencing barriers that are preventing trial reunification to start with their 4 year old baby girl. The parents are needing assistance with their maintenance cost for their vehicle. The parents have scheduled court dates that they will need to attend. They are also struggling with getting to and from work. Mom and dad does not have family in the Tulsa area that would be able to assist them at this time. The parents are needing a reliable vehicle so that when reunification starts, they will be able to take their baby girl to school. If anyone could assist with helping this family, any contributions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping our families.

We have a youth in custody that is special needs as well as medically needy. She is transitioning to a Daily Living Home once turning 18 in August. She is in need of preserving her now group home placement with need of a TV that will be in her room with no other residents to access. She has become increasingly volatile the past few months ,as her previous TV in her room was broken. She relies on TV and electronics as a coping tool.

We are in the process of reunifying a mother and her young daughter. This little girl has not been in custody for very long, but her mother has committed herself fully to changing the conditions that brought her into custody in order to bring her daughter home. As this mom is without a driver's license or vehicle, we have provided her with a bus pass to assist with transportation. In order to assist further, this mom has requested a bicycle to use for independent transportation as well. This request is for a bicycle with a basket for an adult woman. Any help is greatly appreciated! This request can be fulfilled via donation as well, we do not need a brand new bicycle. If anyone has a spare that would fit an adult woman (about 5 foot 5 inches tall), that would work as well!

Hello, I am more than happy to speak on behalf of a mother who has done so well to move out of an unsafe environment and into a safe and stable home. This mother is making huge strides and could use some help in this new start. Single mother of 5 children is in need of everything to start up a new home. It was recommended by DHS she leave everything behind for the health and wellness of the family. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! The family needs the household items listed below. Thank you for everything you do. You are greatly appreciated! If you have anything beyond the list she would be more than happy with any household items.

Loving Kinship placement is needing gas and food card help for two reasons, they are needing to be at court in Antlers OK, and they would like to assist in helping with some visits with mom who lives in Antlers. Gas cards that work in the Antlers area are Shell, mainly or Choctaw, or just a prepaid card of some sort. Feeding a family of four on the road is not easy but being able to eat at McDonald’s, Subway, or Sonic would also be greatly appreciated. This Kinship is trying hard to work with the deep traumas and issues the children have faced and they are working to bridge all that they can at this time. However, they are not a paid placement yet and they have been receiving no help whatsoever. They are unable to assist in any of this without some help. Thank you so much in advance for praying and looking over this family’s need!

This request is to help furnish a dining area (table and chairs) and for a window AC unit. This single mom began trial reunification in April and has worked hard to prepare her life and home for the children to return. She was able to get her own apartment and all of the essentials for her children, but needs help with these extra items. A dining area would give the family a place to come together in the evenings to eat, work on school, and share time together. The weather is getting warmer as we get closer to the summer and AC unit in the children's bedrooms would help them stay cool and comfortable. Any help on this request would be appreciated.

Recently a child was displaced and had to be placed on an emergency basis with family members. Family requires child care in the Stillwater area. Currently there are no daycare or other options for this child to attend. We have found the local art camp that lasts all summer and would accept this child. However this camp does not accept DHS funding. If the fees for this camp can be obtained this child can remain with a relative foster home. If we are unable to find child care the placement will not be maintained with a relative and this child could be placed in the shelter.
