A developmentally delayed 17-year-old girl who lives in a group home would like a TV and DVD player for her bedroom. Watching TV is a positive coping mechanism as it helps her relax by refocusing her attention. Having a TV in her own room would allow her to avoid arguments with the other girls over the communal TV and give her more of an incentive to disengage and regulate herself in her room when she's overstimulated by the activity in the home instead of becoming reactive in a negative manner.
At the group home, there is no cable or streaming capabilities, hence the need for a DVD player. We've included links for combo TV/DVD players below to simplify her setup but would accept separate devices as well. The primary limitation is that the size of the TV cannot exceed 32".

A set of grandparents are currently caring for their grandchild due to various concerns for the child in the care of their parents. The grandparents are needing a crib for the child as the parents did not provide them with one. The grandparents do not need to be burdened with the extra cost if child welfare and the Careportal can assist them with this.

A family needs a toddler bed, mattress, and bedding for their 2 year old daughter. Currently their daughter is sleeping with them in their bed or on a pallet on the floor. They are doing the best they can to provide for the needs of their family and a toddler bed would give their child a space of her own to sleep for safety and comfort. Worker priced beds on Walmart.com. Toddler beds range from $40 to $75, Crib mattresses $35 to $40, and Toddler bedding $25 to $35 (a crib sheet and blanket would be okay too)

The parents are getting unsupervised visitation which occurs in the home. Their furnace went out and they are in need of heat. The parents are trying to locate funds to fix the furnace, but in the meantime would like some space heaters for warmth as it is getting colder out.
Kinship family in need of assistance with rent and utilities. They also need help with new tires and an oil change for the one vehicle they own. Dad was working two jobs to try to make ends meet. Mom is also working. They have limited resources and ability to get to resources which could help them. Any help would be appreciated. The family just started getting any type of reimbursement for the child in the home and the child has been there for 6 months due to the work schedule of the family and the family needing to work and causing them unable to complete training.

There is a family of 4 which are getting close to reunification. The parents have worked hard on their treatment plans and are ready for re-unification with their children. The family is needing 2 twin bed frame, box springs, mattresses and bedding as the children do not have any beds at the parents home. The father does have a truck if he needs to move the items. Thank you for any assistance. Updated on November 24, 2023 by an Agency Worker If unable to obtain twin beds I believe we could make futon bed frames work as they appear to have futon mattresses but not the appropriate frames.
