This request is to help a single mom who has made incredible progress over time in dealing with the court system to achieve reintegration with her 5-year old son. This parent previously struggled in maintaining regular mental health and physical health services, but renewed her commitment last November to both herself and her son. Since November, she has lived in two transitional house locations- Rose Brooks and Sheffield Place. She has obtained transportation and recently started working again at Aldi. This parent is from the Kansas City area and longs to move back to the Kansas side of the state line as she continues to pursue reintegration with her son, as the son's father has declined the opportunity to be involved in the family's life. To continue on her path forward, this mother took the advice of her case manager and has interviewed with several Oxford Houses, which are sober/transitional living homes for women and children. Oxford homes are also a wonderful reintegrative option for this family, providing the family with support and stability that they need to continue to be successful. This request is to help this mom pay her $200 security fee at the Oxford House and to pay her first two weeks worth of rent, which is $120/week. The case manager would like to help this family because this mom has been putting in so much work to achieve reintegration and would benefit from the support that this request can provide. Thank you for helping this family achieve reintegration
Hello!
I have a child under my care that is going to college this upcoming fall. He is an immigrant in foster care and is currently getting his citizenship paperwork. However until he is able to get that citizenship paperwork he is unable to use student loans such as FASFA and pell grant to help with his room and board. He is a great kid- he was a straight A student in high school and participated in basketball. He really need helps with his room and board and any kind of donation would be appreciated & would help this amazing kid so much!!!!!!
I am working with a family that has taken in children from other family members as well as having their own children in the home. They are working with DCCCA to ensure the safety of all the children and are utilizing all possible resources to provide the appropriate care for their family. Currently they are behind on their BPU bill due to increases from using the A/C so much and are unable to pay $300 of the balance due. Any amount donated would be appreciated as they are trying to manage from month to month with somewhat fixed incomes. They receive no support from the parents of the other children. Thank you for considering this request and for all your support in our community!
A teen is in need of a bed in at her cousins place of residence, where she is now currently staying. She is expecting a child soon, and we would like for her and baby to have a comfortable area to sleep. She has recently left a shelter and did not have a place to stay for months before the shelter, that is why she does not have furniture already.

We've got a high schooler who is in foster care for the second time. She is really hoping to be able to join a competitive volleyball league but cannot afford it. $900 is the whole amount needed although any amount would help. This would help her mentally- having an output to go workout/ play. Playing competitive could perhaps make her grow more in the sport and possibly play for college.

I am working with a family of 5 children (3 boys and 2 girls) and a single mom. They have made great strides during our case and have gone from being homeless to having a home and a stable family situation. The family would greatly benefit from having a used washer/dryer set. The mother does not expect a new set and is happy to have anything that works! They have a setup for this in their home but are still going to the laundromat, which is difficult with 6 peoples' clothing and 3 small children who love to run around. :) With the mother's income, it is hard for her to afford these items. I have been blessed to work with this family and they are so close to being able to close their case and continue moving forward with all the skills they have learned. Thank you for considering this request and for all your support in our community!

Mother of two children going through substantial financial struggle and in need of major assistance with paying bills. Mother works full time but with the rising price of food, gas, and child care, she has been unable to keep up with her phone bill and it has pilled up terribly. This bill includes late fees, suspension fees, and also a fee for the cancellation of service. This parent would be thoroughly appreciative of any assistance on this bill. She is doing her best to be able to provide for her two children but just needs a bit of assistance to help her and her family get back on their feet. Even a partial gift would be of great help to this family. Thank you for reading.

Mom is a single parent who is paying off medical bills from a recent hospital stay and has little money left over to make a payment on her rent bill. The rent total is $1,020.60 but Mom says any small amount would help and would be greatly appreciated. This request, $510.30, is for half of the rent amount. This family is nearing a permanency goal of guardianship. Both children have lived with this kinship provider since they originally came into care over a year and a half ago. Throughout the time she has had the children, this placement provider has done everything she can to help ensure the children's needs are being met. She would greatly benefit from having the financial assistance to help pay off their energy bill that is currently at $707. Having this financial stressor alleviated and would allow them to focus on the kid's upcoming school year and make any additional purchases they may need for it.

Placement is caring for a medical child who was in the hospital since birth from Jan to May, fighting for his life on a daily basis. Placement stayed for days, visited daily for hours and provided their undivided attention to making sure he wasn't fighting alone until the day he was released from the hospital. This child will continue to have health matters that will require a lot of attention. Placement was unable to be provided financial assistance while child was in hospital.
Placement is needing help with utility payments to catch back up.
Evergy #9070236917 is ($283.86) Lees Summit Water #066160 is ($107.90)
Any additional help is appreciated to give appreciation and help this family get caught back up and be able to continue to offer their home and service to this child.
Thank you:)
