The mom is currently not working due to having a baby. She hasn't been able to work since having the baby. Dad currently is working on and off jobs and at the moment they do not have income and family is helping. Mom stated she went to food stamps and applied,but she is currently waiting for the application to be processed. The family is needing help with groceries and baby items.

A single mother of three young children is in urgent need of grocery support after using her limited funds to cover an unexpected car repair. She is currently low on food and struggling to provide meals for her kids, all under age six. Temporary assistance with groceries will help ease her burden and ensure her children have access to daily nutrition. Mom is actively working to regain stability and expects to manage independently moving forward.

The family recently moved to Dallas, and they are living in a hotel room. The hotel room doesn't have good ventilation and it's causing air Quilty issues. They are a one income household. Mom does keep the room clean. She is currently savings up to move out of the hotel, but this request would help with the temporary placement she has now for her and her daughter.

A lap top computer is needed for a youth in extended foster care to continue educational services.

The youth is 20 yrs of age in extened foster care. The youth is working as a mechanic and would like to obtain certiifications to become a master mechanic. The lap top would be helpful and allow him to study and do his assignments on his own and in privacy. The youth is smart and goal oriented and would love the assistance of a laptop.

A young mother (26 years-old) has 6 children and is needing assistance with furniture from their new home. The mother is currently not working as she suffers from severe depression. The four older children's father has been deceased for three years. The two younger children's father is semi-involved. The family is needing two twin bunk beds, twin mattresses, two toddler beds, toddler mattresses, a full or queen size bed and a mattress, a couch, and a dining room table. These items will be able to help assist with the children to have sleep better and be able to be prepared for school due to them having a good night's rest. And not having to sleep on the floor. Also having furniture in the home to give the children an opportunity to have a cozy and comfortable home. As Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory suggests that basic needs must be met before individuals can progress to higher-level needs. The most basic needs for survival, including air, water, food, shelter, sleep, and other biological requirements effects a person's psychological needs.

Mother and 5-year-old are currently homeless and needing assistance with temporary stay in a motel for few days until, she can find an alternate caregiver for her child. She has reached out to area shelters and none of them have spots available and there is long waiting list. She tried with her extended family members and none of them are able to help her at this time. She is requesting financial help with few days stay at Super 8 Motel in Fort Worth which cost $75 per night. She is helped by her brother for tonight.

A couple took in their cousins and are almost done with foster care licensing to adopt. They need a 5lb fire extinguisher and a large box with a lock for medications. During this process, one of the caregivers was hit in an accident and their car was totaled. The car seats are unusable now, they need two 5 point convertible car seats. The family is a family of 7, consisting of a mother, father, and 5 children: a 17-year-old, 15-year-old, 13-year-old, 11-year-old, and 9-year-old. At this time the family is having financial barriers in providing basic needs for their children. The family would benefit from one dresser for the boys to store their clothing as well as a bunk bed for them to share. The family has mattresses and is just in need of a frame for the bunk beds. The family of 7 resides in a 2-bedroom home, so space is tight. Due to the financial barriers the family is unable to purchase a dresser and bunk bed frame. The family will appreciate any items given at this time. The following items are needed:

• 1 bunk bed frame
• 1 dresser

This family is a single parent low-income household with two intellectually and developmentally disabled children that need constant care and attention from the parent. Mother is unable to have a full-time job to have the financial ability to provide the adequate furniture that is needed in the home. Mother does not have a lot of support from the community and the school has not been favorable of the mother which limits her access to resources. Medical care for the children is expensive and she pays for it out of pocket and her family helps her financially to pay the bills for the home.

Family is need of temporary housing, mother is currently living with her child inside of her vehicle. Child is 3 yo. Mother has been displaced an is in need of temp housing for herself, child, and dog for 2 weeks until she is able to move. mother is also in need of a car battery for a 2014 Jeep Patriot

We are seeking assistance in obtaining a twin-size bed with mattress and sheets/blankets and a crib with mattress and bedding for a devoted father and his 11-month-old daughter. The father, who is a survivor of domestic violence and lives with a traumatic brain injury, is currently sleeping on a small air mattress, while his daughter sleeps in a worn pack-and-play. Due to his injuries, he suffers from significant migraines, and the lack of proper bedding has made restful sleep extremely difficult. His daughter, who is rapidly growing and developing, needs a safe, supportive crib to ensure her well-being and healthy sleep. Providing this family with a proper bed and crib would greatly improve their quality of life, support the father’s recovery, and offer the stability and safety every young child deserves. Any support in meeting this need would be deeply appreciated.

Single mother recently moved into one bedroom apartment with 8-year-old daughter. The apartment does not have much furniture, and they are both sleeping in the same bed. Assistance would help stabilize the residence and help make the apartment feel like a home for the child. The Mother is on her own in Texas and is doing her best to provide safety and wellbeing for her child but does need help. Childs favorite color is pink and loves to play with toys. Age-appropriate books would be beneficial as the child struggles with reading. Child's favorite book is the princess and the frog. Family is requesting a twin sized bed to alleviate having to sleep in the same bed, sheets and pillows for bed, a frame, a dresser, and possibly a tv for the living room.
