A mother with three children was recently asked to move out of the home after testing positive for illegal substances. The home is appropriate, however, the 11-year old male is sleeping on an air mattress that does not hold air throughout the night. DCS is requesting purchase of a twin bed, mattress, and bedding for this child.

The family consists of a mother and three children ages ranging from 6-12 years old. The family has had trouble with stability and has moved frequently due to inability to maintain their payments for rent. The family has just moved again and is in need of new bedding for the children's beds. The children's beds were observed to only have sheets and no comforters or pillows. Mother would appreciate any assistance to ensure the children have appropriate sleeping arrangements.

DCS has been involved with this family several times due to struggles with mental health and financial means of the family. Mother is a single parent who lacks supports that can help assist her financially. She has 3 young children, only one being school aged, and is not employed while trying to maintain the family. DCS is requesting assistance in paying for an IU Summer Reading Program that will provide virtual support for the oldest child in helping her with reading, pronunciation, and comprehension. This child is in Kindergarten and going into first, the school recommended this program to help her stay at grade level moving into the next grade. This program will provide the child with books as additional support. This program does not offer a scholarship, and the total cost is $320.73. DCS is needing full payment if possible but partial payment would be appreciated as well.

Grandmother was given a house after great grandmother passed away. Great grandmother was unable to keep up the work on the house, causing some issues with plumbing and the roof. Family recently got the roof fixed and are currently trying to get money to fix the plumbing. Grandmother has been sleeping on a couch in the living room that is completely broken down. The family has an inflatable bed for one of the children and safe sleep for the baby but grandmother is struggling every day due to the broken down couch she has been sleeping on in the living room. Due to finances being tight grandmother stated she would be very appreciative for assistance obtaining a new couch.

Maternal grandparents took in their three year old granddaughter. The family needs a door knob, toddler bed, smoke and carbon detector and fire extinguisher for the second level of their home. Without this the child will not have their own bed, open a door properly, or get out in time to avoid the dangers of a house fire.

DCS is involved due to mother leaving the children with father, taking all of the items for the children with her. Father is currently unemployed and staying with a friend. Father was left with no diapers, wipes, clothes, or formula for the children. Father is currently caring for a 7 month old baby boy and a 2 year old girl. Father is struggling to feed himself and the children. Father does not have funds or transportation to get the supplies needed for the children's well-being.

A 2 year-old girl is in need of a toddler bed for her kinship placement home. The child's mother is currently recovering from addiction, and child is placed with her biological father who left the home around the same time as the child was removed. Father has most furniture but is in need of a toddler bed to provide the child a safe and comfortable place to sleep independently. Having this need met will relieve a significant strain on placement as he adjusts to his new life in a new apartment with his daughter.

Family is in need of beds for 5 children. 4 twin size beds (no bunk beds due to safety), and one toddler bed all for males. The family has recently moved into a new home to provide a more stable environment for the kids. They have spent money on remodeling the home and need support in getting beds for all the children. This will help keep the kids in a safe and stable home. The family will need mattresses and bedframes.

I am working with a non-offending father to get his 5 year old daughter in his care, but he is in need of a bed for her. They are in need of a twin mattress, box spring, bed frame and bedding (sheets/comforter) for her. Thank you for your consideration.

Family was displaced from previous address due to eviction in Fall 2024. From Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 family was displaced in various locations to include shelter and family homes. During that time family lost nearly all of daily items needed in household. Mom is working to reestablish herself and her children and could use any of the following items:

Living room furniture Dinette Table Set Deep Freezer Queen Bed Set Bedding Pots Pans Silverware Dishes Television (if there is one) BBQ grill (if there is one)

This is a large family - Mom has 6 children and one grandchild living with her. All items do not need to come together - she will be thankful for any items on the list so if only some items are available at a time from one location that is okay for her. Child is currently placed in kinship care and will be starting a trial home visit soon with parents. Father is working and mother does not. Child is on a special diet where the liquids have to be thicken and the liquid thickener is not covered by the child's medicaid at this time. The medication can only be ordered on line through Amazon or Walmart. Parents are working with Medicaid to get this covered, but while that is being done, the family could use assistance in getting this thickener.

A single mother of three children (8yrs-old, 2 yrs-old, and 1mo-old) lives in a trailer that was on the verge of being condemned due to living conditions. The mother has been working hard on getting the home healthy and appropriate for the family. The children are spending the majority of the time with her sister next door until the home is approved by the health department. Mom has been doing some work on the floors and replacing them as well. Mother is in need of a new toilet; her current toilet is cracked and rusting through the bottom of the toilet. Mother currently works at Burger King and does not receive child support.
