Family is currently living at a homeless shelter in town, moving in in the last few months after previously living in their car. Dad is working with the case manager at the shelter to try and find a job, but is needing help with the transportation to and from. Asking for support with a bus pass for this family to help get on the path towards more stable employment and housing.

Family is currently living at a homeless shelter in town, moving in the last few months after previously living in their car. Dad is working with the case manager at the shelter to try and find a job, but currently they are behind on their program fees. Asking for support to help cover the difference for this month, so family can continue to stay in the shelter and maintain a stable environment for their kids.

I am writing on behalf of a family in urgent need of support. This family of three is soon to be a family of four and they are experiencing financial hardship. At this time, they are unable to afford a car seat for their child expected in June. They need this for the child’s safety and to be able to have it checked in order to take their newborn home from the hospital. As their due date approaches they have been gifted gently used items for their newborn but not a car seat. We also know that a second hand car seat is not the safest option as we often don’t know the history of the car seat, or if there was any damage that could impact the safety of the child. The family has recently had to move in with a family friend because they could not afford to stay at their previous apartment complex and are looking to move again before the baby is born. This car seat would make a significant difference in the family’s well-being and peace of mind. Any assistance is appreciated. I have a family of seven that was doubled up and has recently found a house for rent on their own. YAY! I had the pleasure to go and check out their house yesterday and they are all sleeping on the floor. They are in need of beds and bedding/ sheet sets: one king, one queen, and two twin size.
