We have grandparents fostering their grandson and on the road to adoption in a few months. Due to the child receiving disability, the grandparents are not receiving a regular stipend. The grandparents are on a fixed income and do not have a lot of extra money. The family needs some groceries for their nephew as school is about to let out for the summer and they will have an extra meal to prepare each day. If you can help this family, please reach out. Foster parent currently has her foster child at her place of employment in the mornings for two hours prior to school starting. However, due to the child's complex medical and behavioral needs, the child has had a difficult time adjusting to this arrangement. The child would benefit from attending her school's early morning child care for the remainder 3 weeks of school which would give her a great opportunity to connect with peers and have her needs met.

A child has expressed a desire to engage in a cheer camp this summer. This will assist not only the child expand her horizons and interests, but will provide 4 days of day care for the child. The requests also includes a $50 open gym pass where the child can learn and further work on her skills. This will assist in not only developing her skills, but will further connect her with her community and making new friendships.

Child was arrested for stealing socks and pair of underwear from Wal-Mart. She is currently staying with family friends due to mother being homeless and father lives in Texas. Worker has spoke with the family and they are willing to get guardianship for the child. The child is wanting to get back into school and graduate with friends. The family does not have a lot of money to file for guardianship. The cost is $200.00 to file at the court house. The courts have tried to reach out to mom and dad as well as DHS worker. Both parents have not cooperate with DHS.

A mother and her five children have moved into a safe home provided by Homeless Alliance. The oldest child, a 14-year old, would like to contribute to the household income by working this summer. He had the idea to mow yards in his neighborhood to provide some extra income for the family. He is a hard worker and helps his mother a lot with her four other children. Providing him with a lawn mower would give him a way to be productive this summer!

This biological mom has been working her case while living in a sober living facility in the OKC metro. She recently graduated this program successfully, early, even, and has now moved into a new facility that will allow her minor child to visit during the weekends. This mom works more than 40 hours a week and has worked incredibly hard to maintain sobriety, as well as to engage in her case services. She has consistently shown concern for her daughter and her state of being, and the Department is excited to move her to overnight visitations. The only barrier we're encountering at the moment is that this mom needs a bassinet, outlet covers, a baby mat, size 4 diapers, baby wipes, and a baby bath in order to make sure the child is comfortable and safe while staying with her mother. Any help would be so appreciated as this mom has worked incredibly hard since becoming involved with the Department and is on track to be reunified with her child.

This is a kinship family. The child in need is a teen. They need a full size mattress. They do not need a bedframe or box springs, only the mattress. They will take anything they can including donated items.

A male child who is 8 months old and recently entered custody and is currently being discharged from the hospital is in urgent need of basic infant supplies. The child will be placed in a foster home that is very eager and excited to provide care; however, they are in need of assistance with he child's initial necessities. Specifically, they are requesting clothing in size 9 to 12 months, bottles, diapers and Similac formula. As the child has very few personal belongings at this time, any support in helping meet these immediate needs would be greatly appreciated.

This request is for a participant of RestoreOKC. This single mother is looking for a stackable washer and dryer for her home. She has recently moved in to a home that is better suited for her and her son, but she didn't have a washer and dryer to move into it, and now is having to do her laundry outside of the home. If you have any resources to help with this, she would greatly appreciate it!

I am reaching out to request financial assistance to help cover past-due rent for a single mother doing her best to provide a safe and stable environment for her children. She has recently fallen on hard times and struggling to get by financially. She is a survivor of domestic violence, and the past few years have been especially challenging for her family. Her ex-husband, who has a history of violent behavior, was incarcerated and has recently been released. Since his release, he has not contributed any child support, which has put a serious strain on their finances. Despite the mother's efforts to work and manage everything on her own, the lack of support and ongoing emotional stress have made it increasingly difficult to stay afloat.

At this time, she is behind on rent and daycare payments for her child. She is behind $400 on rent and $400 on daycare. I am submitting the request for only $400 as she states that catching up on rent is most important at this time. She is doing everything she can to secure additional income and resources. Any support you can offer would be a blessing and deeply appreciated.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in his sister (16). The family is working on getting fully approved and adding family to the home has made all the bills tighter. The family is needing partial help with a bill to keep current and to avoid penalty or fees until their stipend payments begin. Please help this single mother and her 3 kids facing eviction. This client incurred a $100 fee to her apartment rent and isn't able to pay it. She is severely ill and unable to work and is in urgent need to keep her and her children from losing their housing.
