The mother had to relocate due to domestic violence, they are staying in a Airbnb. She was approved for an apartment and looking for help to play her deposite
The mother has several children with behavior issues, and she is looking for support to help her son, get him active in hopes to address his behavior.
The family has a history with the Department, the home is not clean and appropriate for the young children in the home. The home needs a deep clean.
The brother is sexually acting out, being inappropriate towards his siblings, the mother works from home, the child broke her cameras, and she needs assistance replacing the cameras so she can monitor the children to prevent abuse in the home.
I have a family who is the victim of domestic violence, a mother and her 4 daughters. Mother suffered domestic violence at the hands of her husband. She alerted law enforcement and tried to leave the home. During the violence that occurred in the home, the furniture got destroyed. The husband left the home and mom is left in the home with her daughters having to look at the aftermath of the abuse daily. The furniture is completely broken and torn. I have not been able to sit down during my visit. Mom has been looking for employment since she lost her job so she has not had money to purchase furniture. She is barley getting by but would like the children to feel good in their home, which is hard to do when the furniture is torn and is a reminder of what occurred. Helping this family furnish their home would result in the children feeling better about the situation and work on moving on without a constant reminder of what happened. This will also be a relief for mom as it will be one less thing she has to worry about while she is working on putting her life back together.
I have a wonderful sixteen-year-old girl that has been in care for one year. She finally has the opportunity to be placed with a family member instead of in a foster home. She was placed last Friday, and she looked so happy to be there. The family member was ready for her with her own room. However, when she went to get the queen size bed out of storage, it had been destroyed by the elements. The family member is a single person that would have to save up for many months to afford to pay for a new one. Right now, the sixteen-year-old is sleeping in the family member's bed and the family member is sleeping on the couch. This is not a long-term solution. We are requesting a new or used Queen size bed for a growing teenager. Thank you for your help in maintaining this family connection.

There are resources made available from the community. We are taking the lead and working out the details. Could you send over the contact information for the family?

Geoffrey:
Laura, thank you so much for your generosity to meet this need! Would you want to be involved in getting the bed to the recipient or have someone else handle that portion?
The aunt has agreed to take care of 1 year old, until mom finds proper housing. This will probably be a longer placement
Aunt is in need of Diapers size 4, wipes and high chair
Formula- Gentlease
The child in care has been returned to their family and is currently on a return to monitor. The mother is a single woman with 6 children in her home. The dryer has recently went out at the home and the mother is having to go to the laundry mat. The mother reported having to complete at least 8-10 loads of laundry during her last session. The mother is currently on crutches from an injury and needs assist with dryer repairs or a new or gently used dryer. This family would benefit from having a dryer in the home so the mother can focus on healing and on the children.

Client is in need of a crib for the child. Caseworker has observed the child sleeping on an adult sized bed during multiple visits to the home. Child is in need of a crib, pack and play or a very large bassinet. Mother is the sole caregiver for her child and has no assistance from the father.
Client is a single mother with two female children: ages 1 and 6 years old. Client has no support from the fathers and cannot work due to health concerns. Client and her children as to move to a new apartment due to unstable conditions in the home. Client is not able to take a lot of her things with her to the new apartment due to black mold. Client is in need of a toddler bed for the child for proper sleeping arrangements. Client is also in need of a kitchen table. I have a single father who is caring for his 11 year old daughter. The daughter is disabled and was recently discharged from the hospital. The father and child were kicked out of their home and are currently living in a hotel. The father is behind on his hotel bill and owes $225. If he doesn't catch up on his bill they will be kicked out of the hotel and become homeless. His daughter is also required to drink Pediasure everyday due to failure to thrive but they ran out and the father doesn't have enough funds to purchase anymore. If she doesn't get the nutrition needed she can lose weight, which will place her back in the hospital. I am also requesting $60 to purchase two boxes of Pediasure that will last her a month. The daughter was recently approved for disability and the father will have additional income to care for her once payment begins.
An infant is placed by CPS with his great grand mother and is needing a baby bed or a bassinet.
He is currently sleeping in a play pen. It is extremely difficult for his grandmother to bend down and pick him up. If filled, this request would greatly assist the family.
This family is receiving Section 8 housing and they have 2 windows broken. The landlord is threatening to evict the family if the windows are not repaired by November 13, 2023. One of the children in the home (17 years old) had a baby 2 weeks ago and the family has no where else to go if they are evicted. The request amount is approximate and be higher or lower. Updated on November 13, 2023 by an Agency Worker The mother in this case has found someone who can repair the windows for a cheaper price. She is now only needing $700. She has stated if she can get at least $500, she can likely come up with the rest on her own.
Three girls have been returned home to their mother. Mom finally got them a place of their own and is in need of new beds for the girls. Due to switching jobs and other moving expenses, buying new beds is not in her budget. The girls have outgrown their current beds, and are in need of new ones to make them more comfortable in their new home.
This request is for a little girl who is residing with her great aunt. This little girl has been so fortunate to have some clothes provided from other resources in Dallas county but now needs somewhere to put them. I am requesting a dresser for this family.
Non offending parent (dad) has gotten his own home for him and his 2-month-old baby to live in. Baby was removed from the hospital due to mother's drug use during pregnancy. At the time of removal, the department was unable to determine if dads' home was safe or not due to unknown roommates. Since removal, dad has moved out of the home and gotten his own 'tiny home'. He has worked hard to pay for the safety deposit, first month's rent, and all the baby items needed to care for an infant.
He still needs help getting a sofa/chairs and a diaper bag. Additionally, if it's possible to assist with rent, that would help make up for the unexpected cost of purchasing all the items needed to care for his son. He works full time at a restaurant and has no family/support system in the U.S. He is an amazing dad who is willing to do whatever it takes to have his son in his care. I truly cannot say enough great things about this father and the love he has for his son. I know he would greatly appreciate assistance of any kind.
Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a small fully accredited high school for students that have not been successful in traditional educational settings. Many of our students live in transitional housing, some face homelessness, and virtually all face many many challenges to completing their high school diploma. Most of our students do not live with caring and loving adults that can meet their needs. We would like to provide a warm blanket to each of our 25 students for Christmas to share the love of Christ.
Two boys ages 5 and 2 are needing dressers to store their clothes. Kinship placement (grandparents) is not able to afford this expense. Grandparents are older and not able to work to afford this added cost. Family needs either one dresser that is big enough for both boys to use or two dressers for each boy.
This family is fleeing a domestic violence situation. They just moved into a new place and could use some financial help and groceries. The family consist of a mother and her two children (one boy and one girl).
