Client is urgently in need of a change of locks. She has already bought locks but needs help changing them. She does not feel comfortable leaving her home without locks changed as she has no way to lock her house.
She's just moving in from FL, and needs help getting settled in Bedford. She's moved in to get custody of her son and needs some furniture for the transition. The furniture is not urgent but she needs her locks changed so she can leave the house and look for work. The hearing is on Nov. 1, and we're hoping we can get some services and support in place for when her son moves in.
She really does not have supports and is looking for work as well. She says she really needs a church and is open to building a relationship as she does not have any friends or supportive family in the area. Updated on October 02, 2023 by an Agency Worker We were able to find someone to help change the locks.

Parent is in need of a Velcro swaddle for a newborn. The mother is a single mom and overwhelmed with the childs medical needs and post partum. Mother is having a difficult time swaddling infant the traditional way with a blanket. There are multiple brands of velcro swaddles ranging in price. This sounds like a small thing but would significantly impact the mother's day to day to be able to adequately swaddle the baby to ensure better and safer sleep.

The family recently moved to the area due to the father's job being transferred. They initially struggled with finding adequate housing and the child was enrolled in school as a homeless student due to the family living in a hotel. The family has secured housing and the child has begun school. They have a small refrigerator that does not hold many items. At this time they do not have everything they need and are requesting a larger refrigerator to have fruits, vegetables, milk, meat, and other perishable foods on hand for the child, which they cannot do currently.

This family currently resides in public housing and consists of a single mother with two very young children, ages 6 months and 3 years old. They are all in desperate need of beds. If anyone can be of any assistance, it would greatly improve this family's quality of life and provide a level of stability for her and her children. Fulfilling this request will greatly increase this mom's hope and help keep the children more secure.
I am working with a family who is in need of assistance with cleaning their home. The father works outside of the home to provide, and the mother stays at home, but without many resources to aid her in keeping a clean home. I am requesting that some volunteers come to her home, with cleaning supplies, to help her clean the house. She does not have much clutter, but needs deep cleaning.
The family has 5 children, and bunk beds would also be a wonderful help to the family, as all of the children are currently sleeping on the floor on makeshift mattresses.

Mom and her two kids are living in a home where the roof has been leaking. This has caused water damage to both children's beds. The roof has since been repaired but the beds still smell of mildew and are creating mold. The dryer in the home also stopped working which has caused issues in drying things due to the water damage.

This family currently lives in public housing. They consist of an engaged couple, their 2 sons who are around 12 & 10 years old, and a newborn baby daughter. They are attending therapy and both are employed. Due to some financial constraints and having just given birth to a newborn, they have been unable to afford cleaning supplies for their home. As a result, the condition of the home has gotten to the point where the children could be potentially at risk. They are in need of a mop and other cleaning supplies as well as relational support. If anyone is able to help provide some of these items, that will help this family keep the condition of their home stable enough for the children to remain. Given the urgency of this need, if someone is able to respond to help BEFORE 3pm, it would be much appreciated. However, any help given will greatly support this family!
Please consider helping a family in need. The family consists of a father, step- mother, and infant. The family is in need of a car seat for the child to be transported to and from childcare and medical appointments. Thank you for your consideration!

I am working with a young mother, who has just gotten her first apartment with her two young children. She is not currently employed, due to having a very young child at home. She is in need of some living room furniture such as a sofa, chair, and some rugs for the floors. Her young child is beginning to crawl, and the floors are all wooden through the home. Any living items that are able to be provided would be much appreciated by the mother, as she does not have the funds to obtain the items on her own. She has bare necessities in her apartment.

This family successfully overcame homelessness 2 years ago. However, her mother's recent death, limited education, and ongoing strained finances make making ends meet a constant challenge for this family consisting of an engaged couple and their 3-year-old son, and 5-month-old daughter. One thing they really need is a lawn mower to mow the waist-high grass outside of their home which they inherited from her deceased mother. They are a sweet, earnest couple who I know would really benefit from this act of generosity, and would be completely open to further social support.
This family consists of a single mother who lives in public housing with her 10-year-old son who is struggling to make ends meet. She has resorted to braiding hair on the side to earn extra funds. One thing she really needs right now is size 14 clothes for her fast-growing son, especially jeans. He already struggles with social anxiety, so I know that some new clothes may really boost his self-esteem and give this mother some peace of mind. Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to help meet this need!
This family consists of a grandmother who still has a 16-year-old son living with her (her youngest out of 5 children), and 2 grandchildren who frequently stay with her as well. Things lately have been a struggle as she has had to do everything on her own. One thing that would really help her out is receiving a mattress that can accommodate her as she ages, and that can fit a toddler with her as well on the nights that she needs to care for him. If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated as providing this resource would help strengthen this family.
