This family is receiving Section 8 housing and they have 2 windows broken. The landlord is threatening to evict the family if the windows are not repaired by November 13, 2023. One of the children in the home (17 years old) had a baby 2 weeks ago and the family has no where else to go if they are evicted. The request amount is approximate and be higher or lower. Updated on November 13, 2023 by an Agency Worker The mother in this case has found someone who can repair the windows for a cheaper price. She is now only needing $700. She has stated if she can get at least $500, she can likely come up with the rest on her own.

Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a small fully accredited high school for students that have not been successful in traditional educational settings. Many of our students live in transitional housing, some face homelessness, and virtually all face many many challenges to completing their high school diploma. Most of our students do not live with caring and loving adults that can meet their needs. We would like to provide a warm blanket to each of our 25 students for Christmas to share the love of Christ.
Two boys ages 5 and 2 are needing dressers to store their clothes. Kinship placement (grandparents) is not able to afford this expense. Grandparents are older and not able to work to afford this added cost. Family needs either one dresser that is big enough for both boys to use or two dressers for each boy.
The request is for a family of 5 who are in need of assistance. In the home a single mother, maternal uncle, two boys and a girl. The children have Autism. The family is financially struggling to make ends meet. Mother broke her wrist could not work. Mother relies on maternal uncle to assist with her with caring for the children. Mother want to place children in school she is not able to purchase clothes or shoes for her children. The family in need of beds, mattresses, bedding, towels, sofa and eating table. This family is fleeing a domestic violence situation. They just moved into a new place and could use some financial help and groceries. The family consist of a mother and her two children (one boy and one girl).
A great aunt and uncle have stepped up and have taken in their niece's 4 children who range in age 6-11. The plan is for these children to be in the home permanently. The family washing machine has recently broke and is beyond repair. The family now spends a few evenings during the week at the laundry mat washing clothes for 7 people and then bringing them home to put in the dryer. A new washing machine will help this family greatly and reduce the stress of having to leave the home to do laundry.
A grandmother had her grandchildren, a 5 year old boy and 7 year old girl, placed with her. Her 4 year old grandson is in need of a new twin bed and mattress as well as bedding. Her grandson loves the cartoon Ben 10. This wonderful grandmother is in the process of becoming a licensed foster home so that she can adopt her grandchildren. The grandmother just started working again after taking time off to get her grandchildren settled in her home and help them with the changes in their lives. She does not receive any assistance from CPS and is requesting help with this need.

Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a small high school in South Dallas that is designed for students that need a second, third or fourth chance to earn their diploma. We serve students that have not been successful in traditional school settings. Many of our students do not have loving or caring adults in their lives and often have faced severe trauma. We provide the needed clothing so that our students can meet the dress code. We are in need of black or khaki jeans for students in order that they can comply with the dress standards of the school.
A foster parent is caring for 2 sisters who she wants to keep together. The two siblings affectionately call the foster parent granny. The caregiver needs bunk beds for the girls due to the size of the bedroom. Currently one is sleeping on an air mattress to avoid co-sleeping. When this need is met the two sisters can continue to thrive and make their room feel like home.
Single mother of 5 children is struggling to make her utility payments. She is unemployed and suffers from mental health. She is trying to find employment but is not having any success. She does receive government assistance for food and housing costs. The children are all under the age of 10. Supporting this request will positively affect the well-being of the children.
Mom and Dad have newly acquired their own home after living with family. Parents have 4 children. 3 of whom are old age appropriate for their own beds. However, each child is sharing a bed as well as using air mattresses. Family is in need of a bunk bed set and an individual twin bed to ensure stability with safe sleep according to CPS guidelines.
A single caregiver recently had her 6 year old female cousin placed with her. The caregiver previously received permanent custody of her 3 year old and 10 year old female cousins through previous CPS cases. The caregiver has a 2 bedroom apartment and she is requesting one set of bunk beds for her 6 year old cousin and 10 year old cousins for their bedroom as they share a room. In addition, she is requesting mattresses and sheets for the beds. The caregiver works hard to provide for her family and with this case being new she had to purchase other items for her cousin to be settled in her home and cannot afford bunk beds at this time.
A family of 5 people, 2 children and 3 adults need of help. One of the children is a 16 years old male that just moved from Guatemala to have a better future and moved in with his male cousins, his cousins wife and his niece. The 16 yo was transported to the US by smugglers. The 16 yo was registered in school and his adult cousins were the main breadwinners in the household. In July, the 16 yo received a call from the smugglers and threatened him to pay off the amount he owes for bringing to the US or his family lives in Guatemala will be in danger. The 16 yo had to quit school to help his cousins by working full time to make payments so his family can be safe. The amount the 16 yo owes is $9000 and there is $700 interest every month. The cousins work double the hours and the 16 yo works full time to manage their payments to the smugglers. I am seeking help for the family to pay a months rent and utilities so they can make the payment they require to keep the family in Guatemala safe. The 16 yo wishes to continue his education but he will not be able to until he pays off the smugglers. Any help is accepted.

We have a single-parent family whose house burned down. The family lost everything. Children are in need of clothes, especially uniforms. Unfortunately, without proper uniform attire, students are not allowed to remain on campus and attend classes. The family also needs furniture, bedding, food, etc. Anything will help this family to recover and help to make them whole again. The children desperately want to continue their studies.
