We have a 20-year-old who is aging out of care in a month. She is moving into her apartment with her 1-year-old daughter. She is working and has been trying to save money. She is $500 short for the deposit on her apartment; she has managed to save half. The $500 would ensure our older youth does not age out unhoused. She is utilizing a housing voucher to ensure she will be able to pay her rent; her voucher does not pay for any part of the deposit. Our youth is excited to have her own place for her and her daughter to finally have stability in her life. Thank you!

Their 21 year-old son was recently killed in an accident and their 19-year-old daughter who is pregnant is being induced due to the stress of losing her brother. Her younger son is currently permanently disabled. Mother has been unable to work as she has been making arrangements for her son's burial and her the birth of her daughter's child. Mother was unable to cover the entire month's rent because she paid for the burial of her son. There are three other younger children in the home. This is a single parent home. Mom is currently unemployed and family is making ends meet off of social security disability benefits. Family is functioning within poverty. One of the children in the home has a high level of medical needs with some medical equipment that requires electricity to function (suctioning and feeding pump). I have a relative foster parent in need of a stroller for a baby she has in her care. The baby is getting ready to turn 1 and is more mobile. The foster parent would like a stroller to put him in when she runs errands and goes places with the baby, instead of carrying him. Any help is appreciated.

A child has had lice for about two months now. She has missed 12 days of school and is now missing end of year testing. Her guardian has not been able to contain the lice with over-the-counter products, and she is in need of professional treatment. I have located a salon in the area that is able to provide services at a discounted rate so that she does not miss any more school. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Bio Mom is needing to attend a driving school (Learn 2 Drive KC) that will help her get her driver license so that she can transport her children to school, medical appointments, and ABA therapy. The school consist of 3 driving lessons, and each class is 2 hours. The cost is $680 including pickup and drop off in the Kansas City area.
