A devoted great-grandmother is caring for her 6-year-old great-grandson with unconditional love and resilience. Despite limited resources, she has opened her heart and home to provide the stability and care he deserves. Now, she needs help giving him a few of life’s basic comforts.

She is seeking a twin-size bed to ensure he has a safe, warm place to sleep—somewhere he can dream freely and rest well. Additionally, the child is in need of clothing for sizes 8–10, appropriate for his age and growing body. Unfortunately, the exact sizing—especially in shoes—is unknown, so a gift card to a store that allows for in-person shopping and fitting would make a world of difference.

The father is presently in the 32nd Judicial Treatment Court Program. He recently began communicating with his three children, ages 16, 13 and 11. The biggest issue at this time is that he does not have a phone. He can only contact his children when allowed to use another person phone. I am requesting that CarePortal assist this father with obtaining a phone, this is the only way he can communicate with his children on a regular basis and rebuild the relationship. It is also the only way he can continue to participate in the Treatment Court Program.

A young woman who graduated high school earlier this year is embarking on her collegiate journey. She has maintained consistent part-time employment as a high school student and plans to continue working while enrolled in college courses. This young lady needs a laptop to complete assignments. She will be able to access required coursework materials, maintain communication and contact with classmates as well as her professors with this device.

Mother's 7 month old son needs a crib to ensure he has safe sleep arrangements. Mother is currently using an old pack n play that has loose sheets. Sheets for the crib would be needed as well. Providing this crib will help Mother financially and ensure the 7 month old has safe sleep!

We have a young adult in our program who has completed and passed most parts of her GED test except the math portion. She struggles with this subject and asked our staff if we could help her find a tutor for math so she can retake that portion and pass! Open case for domestic violence and environmental concerns. Single mom, no support from the children’s father. Mom has worked very hard and has been able to get the home cleaned up and everything else taken care of but attempted to purchase bunk beds off Facebook marketplace only to get home and discover she was missing several important parts. The seller has stopped responding. Mom is really struggling emotionally and financially with the loss of income, is behind on rent, and paying for beds only to have that result was more than disappointing. I’m hoping we can get some help with the beds at least. She is doing her best. Boys need bunk beds, twin over twin preferably, and girl does not need a bed but does need bedding no color or theme preference

A single mother with 3 children, two girls and a boy, is in need of school uniforms for the upcoming school year. Regular school uniforms polo style shirts and khaki, black or navy blue pants. The family has very limited needs. The father is in jail. The family is also in need of groceries/food. Children's sizes are as follows: 8th grader girl: M shirt in juniors and size 5 pants in juniors 5th grader girl: L shirt in girls and size 11 pants in girls 1st grader boy: size 7/8 or M shirt in boys size 7/8 pants in boys Any help is greatly appreciated!!! A 10 year old boy was placed with his aunt due to DCS involvement. The child needs a twin sized bed so that he has a bed to sleep in while being placed with his Aunt. The aunt has other children that he will be sharing a room with so the bed cannot be bigger than a twin. Aunt is not licensed and has not received any money at this time to have extra fund to buy a bed.

Family consist of father and his 2 children (3 and 5) when they visit Tues-Thur and every other weekend. Father works currently in a factory and is able to provide for the children's needs. He wants to pursue a different career for himself and his children but to do this wants to pursue a college degree. He currently does not have the extra money for a computer/laptop to aid him in his school work. Having this would assist him in being able to effectively complete his school work and obtain a degree to pursue a better career to help support his family.

The mother and children were apart of a serious domestic situation where the father barricaded himself into the home and LE had to use gases to get the father out. For the mother and children to be able to move back into the home ServPro services need to come in and clean. The mother has three children (12, 7, and 11 months)

I have a young mother that just had a child that was premature. She is behind on her CentrePoint bill of $228.98 and is asking for assistance. She has done everything on their case plan. I'm asking if care portal could send this out to their resources and see if anybody is willing to help this young mother. Thank you

The Department became involved with this family almost a year ago and the family has made great progress. The mother is now almost 190 days sober, and the family is currently residing in their second homeless shelter while waiting on their new apartment to be ready. The mother has struggled with substance abuse addiction on and off for years, and her children were removed from her in August and she did not at first engage in services until January when she hit the ground running. Her children had a rough experience in foster care, to say the least, and were returning home at the beginning of June. The mother does work full time, but is needing assistance with some items for their new apartment while she is getting back on her feet, as she does not receive any help from the children's father.
