A local mom who is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy is urgently in need of over the counter nausea medication and other nausea remedies (such as Sprite, saltine crackers, etc.). This mom is currently undecided about her plans for this pregnancy. She has a one year old son and being sick makes it difficult to keep up with a toddler and manage daily tasks. She is also in need of groceries for the both of them. This mom does receive food stamps but does not get them until April 6th and needs help until then. She is a single mom who is currently unemployed and does not have functioning transportation. She is therefore not able to meet these needs at this time. She would greatly appreciate any assistance! To note, neither mom or her son have any food allergies.

A loving and compassionate grandmother is caring for her two grandchildren ages 8 and 4. She is a nurse that has recently been separated from her husband, and she is having a difficult time catching up on bills. She has applied for financial assistance through Job and Family Services, but she was denied PRC due to the fact that she was over the income regulations. The caretaker will be able to manage her bills moving forward because she is applying for the Kinship Caregiver Program and Child Only- Ohio Works First Program. The caregiver is hoping to find assistance getting caught up on her gas bill that is overdue in the amount of $439.28. This caretaker is making a big impact in the healthcare field and an even bigger impact on the lives of her grandchildren

This is a family of 3. There are 2 children and a mother. Mother works, but struggles. Both children (11 and 12) are autistic and one is non- verbal. The non-verbal child is extremely intelligent. The family is in need of a couple of devices (tablets or phones). They had one, but it recently cracked. These devices would not have to be new just something for them to be able to learn with in the summer. The oldest child has been teaching herself Japanese with online sites.
A caring set of kinship caregivers recently took in another addition to their wonderful busy family. The family first met the youth at church camp alongside where their oldest daughter was attending. The two youths became friends, and the family quickly became a huge support for this youth. The family remains invested in the youth’s daily life and is aware of struggles at home. As time went on, the youth continued to face challenges that made it difficult for her to remain safe in her own home. When the youth was removed from her home, the kinship family immediately traveled across the state to help and support her. The family places their needs aside to give the youth a loving supportive home to stay in. The kinship family has not been able to gain any support or assistance from the county. Therefore, the family has had to dip into their saving to financially support the youth’s mental/behavioral health and basic needs. The youth has various diagnosis and health needs, which include several doctor’s appointments, with family. Having to pay their bills, buy enough food/groceries, purchase clothes and hygiene products all without financial assistance, the family is struggling. The family has tried to apply for local and state programs but does not have custody of the youth and makes them ineligible. The Navigator is working diligently to find additional resources to help them. The family is asking for financial assistance in the amount of $400 the cost of gas for April.
***Help a Single father of 3***
I am working with a single father of 3 children. They have been without hot water in their home for 3 months. The father has been boiling water on their stove in order to provide the children with warm baths. This has led to his already struggling stove to stop working. Dad states he cooks a lot and is now without a way to provide home cooked meals or warm water for his children to bathe. He advised that a stove would be best but all he needs is a "cooking plate" to get by. I have provided a link below to a cooking plate that is $91.98 from amazon.
** I am working with the family to find a way to provide a new water heater so that the family can have hot water in the home.**
This Treatment Court participant has been doing well since he has started in July of 2022. Due to a separation between himself and his children's mother, he ended up losing his housing. He has finally been approved for an apartment and has a move in date! This participant keeps his two children basically full time, and will need all the necessities in his new apartment to take care of them. He has consistently been in compliance with our program, maintained sobriety, maintained employment, and made every effort to get to requirements without transportation. Any furniture, beds, pots and pans, sheets, and household items would be very appreciated for this family.
Please help! This caregiver has gone above and beyond to ensure these children do not enter the foster care system. She has taken 3 children when originally only made arrangements for one child, but cares about these children so much was willing to help. She is in need of assistance with diapers, wipes, and clothing to help her ensure these children can stay in the home. She hasn’t asked for any help with the children until now, and it would greatly help this family stay together. Please help this amazing caregiver keep these children in her home!
I, CSW Nichols, has a mom who is need of helping to get her furnace fixed. The mom has had to use her extra money to do other things around the home. It is currently still cold as the temp keeps dropping. She currently has a few space heaters, but they are not working well to keep the home warm.
I have a mother, who has a child with complex medical needs. Mother lives in the home with her adult son and we are working on transitioning the minor child back into the home. Mother has recently injured herself and could use a recliner to prop her leg up. The family does not have much furniture in the home. I am requesting assistance getting the family a recliner, a loveseat or smaller couch, and curtains for the home. The family could also use a couple of dressers. Any assistance with any of the items listed would be a huge help to this family, as mother has no disposable income at this time.
Mom is a single parent with two children; a 5 year-old boy who is Autistic and a 6 year-old girl. The family car broke down and needs a new engine and a new transmission, which is very expensive. After a discussion about the expensive repairs, mom agreed that it would make more sense to look for a used car that is operational instead of putting money into the family car. If there is a vehicle that has been or will be donated it would be greatly appreciated by this family. Having a running vehicle would ensure the 5 year old would continue to receive services for his special needs, and be a help to mom in holding down a job.
Dad is a single parent who lives with his two daughters (ages 16 and 14) in a trailer he built himself out of scrap and spare trailer parts. There is a dormitory-sized fridge in the kitchen area currently, but the size isn't sufficient for the family. It would be a huge help to the family to have an apartment-sized refrigerator for the kitchen. Dad is employed part time and does odd jobs to support his daughters.
A non custodial father has placement of his two year old son and is in need of a safe place for him to sleep.
We are requesting a toddler bed and mattress at this time and bedding if able. Father works to provide but struggles to maintain with his child support for other children and his limited work hours due to a lack of childcare he has experienced.
A kinship caregiver has fallen on hard times and is in need of help with April rent. The caregiver obtained custody of her second cousin after the young girl’s parents died. The caregiver is single and was working full time until her complex medical conditions resulted in her inability to work. She was on temporary disability but is now on unpaid leave. She is still being evaluated by her doctors and receiving treatment in hopes that she will be able to return to work in mid-April. In the meantime, she is unable to cover her upcoming rent of $685 that is due April 1st. She is on the wait list for Section 8 housing. Please consider helping this caregiver and the young girl in her care avoid an eviction. Your assistance would ease her stress and provide housing security for this kinship family.
This request is to help a young, single mother of 3 reunified with her children in September 2023. She has maintained them in home since reunification and continues to meet their basic needs. Mother has all baby and toddler supplies but needs help getting a car seat for her 3 year old, as well as one for her infant child. Mother also needs help obtaining a pack n play for the infant child. If this request is fulfilled, it will continue to support this mother and allow them to spend limited funds on other baby/toddler items/supplies.
Mother and children recently moved to Indiana due to domestic violence and are currently sharing a full size bed in a small room. A twin bunkbed and two toddler beds will help improve the children and mothers quality of life.
Single mother just moved from a domestic violence shelter with her 11 year old daughter into her own housing. Mother has no belongings to bring with her into the housing. The 11 year old child weighs 400+ pounds and is in need of a heavy duty bed frame in order to support her. Mother is unable to work due to needing to take care of the child full time. Mother advised she is in need of everything from a bed to plates/cups/silverware.
