Family that has fallen on hard times. This bill is due today.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in their grandchildren. The family is nearly fully approved and is taking great care of the children. The family has struggled to adjust to increased expenses and is needing help with some bills in order to stay caught up until they receive financial assistance from OHS. We have been able to get some assistance with one bill and if someone could help with this bill it would get the family caught up. I have a single mother on my caseload with a four year old and 2 month old baby. My client recently had to pay for repairs on her car and it cut into her monthly budget. My client would benefit from transportation assistance (gas card) to get back and forth from work, the baby's doctor appointments, and day care. Any help would GREATLY be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello all, I am hoping you can help a very dear family. They are 5 adults and 2 children, living in a household that are looking for rental assistance. The family had to leave a previous location due to being uninhabitable, and the previous landlord did not correct the issues. The family has exhausted other resources by staying with other family members and was even homeless for a day. The family was able to obtain a They were able to find a place to stay, but are in need of deposit for the rental by this Saturday (2 days from now). The deposit is $1500. The family is unable to come up with the deposit due to fixing their vehichle which is their only mean for transportation, allowing them to work. Meeting this immediate need for this family will allow them to maintain shelter.

We have a young married couple fostering their nephew and on the road to adoption. Foster mom recently gave birth to a sweet baby girl and is homeschooling and raising 3 other biological children. A single mother of a 6-year-old boy, 5-year-old girl, and 2-year-old girl is completing inpatient substance abuse treatment next week and has been accepted into a transitional living program so she can continue on her path of recovery. Payment of a program fee and the security deposit is required in order to move in. This mother is currently unemployed due to being in treatment but does have a job waiting for her as soon she relocates. Her children have been able to be with her while she is inpatient, but if she is not able to secure her spot in this transitional living program, she does not have a safe place to go, and the children will have to return to foster care placement until she can get settled somewhere. Assistance with this need will allow this family to remain together and make a fresh start.

We have a foster mother that has really gone above and beyond to help a 13 year old boy with several disabilities, and there are 3 other children in the home. She's opened her home in order to take him in and even moved to the living room so that he can have her room instead. She's been struggling with some major home repairs and we've been unable to find help for those issues. We are asking for some help with her water/municipal utilities in order offset those other expenses. Her current water bill is $201 approx. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A young mother and survivor of domestic violence needs help paying for her EMT certification exam. This young mother was abused during pregnancy and as a result her baby has many health needs. To help support her child and to reunite with him from foster care, the mother wants to continue to pursue her EMT certification. She's already taken and passed all of the required classes; she just needs to take the exam and pay for her license. If you could help her, this would be a huge blessing for this determined mama.

The family has found bed bugs since taking the child placed and is needing help with some of the treatments for the baby's room and other rooms that they have not spread to. Hello I am needing help with fixing up a mother's car so she is able to see her children for her visits. This would help mom out with starting Trial Reunification so she can get her kiddos back home with her. She has been having difficulties getting to different towns to see her kiddos on a regular basis because her car is not in working condition and she does not have much family to help her when needed. All this car needs in a front left ball joint to get this car up and running! if someone is available to help fix this car up this will help mom get her children back home. The car is 2000 mercury MGL that just needs a left ball joint repaired.

My foster parents just took in an infant and got him a crib, toys, swing and bouncer. They are just needing a small dresser for his clothing now. They are perfectly happy with a gently used item. They are just needing somewhere to put his clothes.

A kinship placement was found for an Oklahoma teen with her great-aunt in Illinois. We are very appreciative that the aunt stepped up to care for her niece. Accepting placement of a child into the home comes with added expenses. The aunt needs assistance obtaining a bed and dresser for the child to keep her in the home. Service providers in the area were unable to provide the items. Obtaining a bed and dresser would help keep this placement stable and keep this kiddo with family. Please take note, the family lives in Illinois and the ability for an in-person connection is not possible. The items would need to be shipped. Thank you for considering helping our Oklahoma child!
