Help Reunify a Bio Family
The mother has secured a Section 8 housing voucher and is preparing to move into stable housing with her four children. She has recently been approved for a home and is eager to take this important step toward stability. She works full-time and is also enrolled in college, demonstrating her commitment to providing a better future for her family. However, a past eviction and an outstanding TECO bill from over a year ago have created barriers to moving forward. By assisting with the past-due TECO balance, the mother will be able to pay the necessary deposit and officially move into her new home. This support will allow her to begin a new chapter in her life—reunified with all four of her biological children and on a path toward long-term stability.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
The mother is requesting relocation assistance after her home was recently broken into. She has two children and is seeking to move to a safer location for her family. If this request is met, the family will be able to relocate to a more secure environment. The mother has already identified suitable apartments, and once the deposit is paid, the complex will assign a unit. She is requesting $700 to help cover the $1,000 deposit and is committed to contributing the remaining $300 herself. She is currently employed and confident in her ability to maintain stable housing moving forward.

Mother has successfully completed her case plan at this time. She has been struggling to find housing for some time but as of 6/6/2025 mother was able to get housing through catholic charities agency. Now that she has moved in mother is still in need of assistance with furniture, clothing items for child, diapers, and other essential items, such as child locks for cabinets. Mother does have a bed for herself, a toddler bed for her daughter and a TV but that is all. Mother works and has saved up some money but not enough to furnish her home. Mother can also use assistance with getting Houshold supplies and other care needs for her daughter.

Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
A local agency, which supports caregivers in various situations, is hosting a back-to-school event and needs backpacks and supplies for families. We're collecting donations to help ensure every child gets what they need for the new school year. Because different age groups need different items, we are asking for both backpacks and specific supplies. Financial donations and gift cards to Walmart, Target, or Amazon are also appreciated and will be used to purchase the requested items.
We've broken down the needs by age group:
Ages 8–15 (30 students): Pencils, pencil cap erasers, highlighters, and black or blue pens. Composition notebooks, loose-leaf paper, and a binder with dividers. Markers, colored pencils, and a pencil sharpener. Regular scissors.
Ages 5–7 (20 students): A pencil box, No. 2 pencils, erasers, and a pencil sharpener. Crayons, washable markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, and Elmer's glue. Ssolid plastic folders with pockets and prongs, a ruler, and spiral-bound notebooks. Blunt-tip child scissors and Expo markers.
Ages 3–4 (10 students): Washable markers, crayons, jumbo pencils, a pencil box, and Elmer’s glue. Round-tip child-safe scissors, construction paper, and watercolor paint. A 4-pack of Play-Doh and baby wipes.
Ages 1–2 (10 students): Baby wipes. Small packs of size 3, 4, or 5 diapers. Jumbo crayons.
Thank you for your generosity in helping these families start the school year right!

Help an Individual with Disabilities Improve their Wellbeing
My client is a 34-year-old disabled man who is currently navigating a major life transition following the recent loss of his mother. Having lived in the family home with her until her passing, he is now adjusting to independent living in a rented room shared with roommates. This shift has brought both emotional and physical challenges, and he is doing his best to adapt with dignity and resilience. He lives with chronic health conditions that cause excessive sweating, persistent pain, and strong body odor—especially at night. These symptoms often disrupt his sleep and cause him to worry about the impact on those he now lives with. He has shared his concern about being off-putting to his roommates, despite doing everything he can to manage these conditions. To support his comfort, confidence, and continued stability in this new living situation, we are seeking assistance with comfort/ sleep support, room freshening supplies, clothing, which have been requested in a separate Care Portal request. We are also requesting a Walmart gift card to assist with food and necessities, as my client is on a very limited income. We do request Walmart specifically due to my client's location and limited means to transportation. This individual is doing everything in his power to move forward after a profound loss. With a little support, he can live more comfortably, maintain harmony in his shared space, and continue to grow in his independence. Thank you for considering this request.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
The client is a mother and wife whose family lost their home in a fire a few months ago. Since then, the family has been working hard to rebuild their lives, secure permanent housing, and regain financial stability. Both parents work full-time, often from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or later, which has made it difficult for them to access local food pantries that operate during the same hours.
They are in need of food assistance to help ensure their children have consistent access to nutritious meals during this challenging time. Supporting this family will directly contribute to the health and well-being of the children as their parents continue making every effort to recover. Any support would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your consideration.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
We are currently assisting a single mother who moved into a safer space for her and her daughter. She is on her own with her daughter for the first time. The property has plumbing issues and as you could imagine as a first-time single mom on her own, she does not have enough financially to fix unexpected issues such as plumbing. The middle bathroom is backing up into the tub whenever the middle bathroom is used or kitchen sink, washer, or dishwasher is used. There is a bathroom they are able to use adjacent to the bedroom. We are hoping there is someone in the church community that is able to bless this mom with their skills in plumbing. Thank you so much for considering.
