The caregiver is 79 years old, and they live in a two-bedroom home. The oldest child is sleeping on a queen-sized bed, the two middle children are sleeping on mattresses on the ground. The 5-month-old child sleeps in a crib in the caregiver’s room. Having the bunk bed and twin bed would allow the children to share a bedroom and meet licensing standards to ensure the family receives funding. This funding and bedding will assist with providing care, safe sleeping environment, and ensure siblings stay together and the placement is secured. This family needs your help with a twin bunk bed frame and twin mattresses, twin bed frame and mattress and 3 sets of twin bedding. The girls are ages 9 and 12 and the little boy is 5.

This family is in urgent need of vehicle repair assistance. The primary caregiver, who is responsible for the care of four young children: 2(M), 5(F), 6(F) & 9(F), works approximately an hour from the home. She relies heavily on the family’s vehicle to get to work and to meet the children’s daily needs, including school drop-offs, appointments, and other essential errands.

The vehicle in question are typically used for emergencies and transporting the children. Unfortunately, the car is no longer functioning properly. While the exact issue is unknown, it is suspected to be a problem with the transmission.

Without a working vehicle, the caregiver is missing work opportunities, significantly impacting the family’s primary source of income. Reliable transportation is critical for this family’s stability and well-being.

Request: Assistance with vehicle diagnostics and repair. Any support—mechanical, financial, or in-kind—would make a tremendous difference in helping this caregiver return to work and ensuring the children’s needs are met consistently.

Our preservation team is currently involved with a 16 year old female who is in need of linkage to youth group and church support after moving in with her grandmother in Port Richey, very far away from her original church of origin. This youth was actively involved in weekly youth group and church proceedings and she is now in need of a new church family. She is a hard working child who takes school and work seriously but over everything, she prioritizes the need to attend church and be surrounded by a wealth of support and positive influences. The grandmother is excited about any opportunity that may help this youth get reacclimated in a community that can encourage and empower this child who has had to move homes and leave her job and church this past week. Thank you for your willingness to support a great kid.

A single mother is seeking assistance for her young child who has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The child is nonverbal, not toilet trained, and does not eat solid foods, making daily life particularly challenging. The mother works through a temporary staffing agency with limited and inconsistent income, and she is unable to afford essential tools that would help support her child's development and safety. Specifically, they are in need of a properly fitted, safety-certified bike helmet so the child can safely engage in outdoor physical activity, and a set of communication flashcards (such as PECS) to help the child express basic needs and emotions. These resources would greatly improve the child’s ability to communicate, reduce frustration, and promote both physical and emotional development. The mother has three children and is currently pregnant with her fourth. She is currently not working and does not have transportation to complete daily tasks for herself or her children. The mother is requesting to have a portable washing machine, which will come in handy to have in the home once she delivers. Currently the mother Ubers to a local laundry mat to wash the clothes for her household. However, once she delivers, she will be limited to outings as she recovers from her delivery. The mother’s support system is limited as she has relocated to Tampa from Tallahassee. It would bring greater peace, and an ease of mind to continue supporting her household with the portable washing machine. Otherwise, the mother would need to travel by Uber/Lyft to the local laundry mat with the clothes, a newborn and her 3 other children potentially once she is out for the summer. (A set of 5-year-old twins, and a 7-year-old).

A foster family is caring for twin babies, and they are needing another high-chair for one of them.

The mother is currently battling housing instability and working towards stabilization so she may provide a safe and stable living environment for her children. The mother is hopeful to start work again soon and is working towards normalcy while navigating a difficult time. The mother would benefit from a pair or two of size 8 shoes as she is lacking proper shoes after moving out of her old housing unit. This would shine a bright light in the mother's life after a tough few months.

This foster family of 9 is in need of a double stroller to accommodate their 3 youngest children and any additional children they provide respite or short-term care for. The stroller the family is requesting is the Double Stroller Track Tandem Stroller for Infant and Toddler, Foldable Pushchair Bassinet Pram and can be purchased at Target. The foster dad is often traveling for work leaving the foster mom alone to manage and carry around these 3 littles so this double stroller would be very helpful when she is out and about in her not having such full hands.

This brave foster family recently made the difficult decision to relocate from the Midwest to Florida in search of safety and stability. In the midst of their transition, they’ve continued to prioritize the well-being of their foster child, who receives regular therapies to support his development. Due to unexpected gaps in insurance coverage during the move, the family now faces a $200 medical bill for therapy services they didn’t know would no longer be covered. The provider cannot accept their current insurance, and they’re doing their best to manage it all on their own. This family has shown great courage, love, and commitment through all the challenges they’ve faced.
