We have a 10 year old girl who was recently placed with one of our foster families along with her older sister. The 10 year old is excited about the idea of riding a bike as the weather is getting warmer and loves to spend time outside. She would love to receive a 24" bike and helmet so she can spend the spring and summer time riding her bike around her neighborhood. To help make this summer extra memorable for her, we are requesting help locating a gently used or brand new 24" girls bike and helmet. Thank you!
Parents welcomed their newborn into the world in January. They are getting by with the things they have, but support getting a stroller and bassinet would be incredibly helpful. The mom who is the primary caregiver has a slipped disk in her back, so having a stroller that could accommodate the car seat she has would help her in transportation of her baby and her toddler. They could also use support getting a bassinet for a safe place for the baby to sleep. The father works many hours to the support the family while the mom is currently staying home. We prefer new items. If the items are gently used, please be prepared to email photos of the items for their approval. Attached her links to a double stroller that the mom has said will support the car seat she has as well as helping her with her 3 year old. Thank you for your support!

A youth was placed with a kinship provider due to ongoing concerns of neglect. The family is needing to move homes in order to provide enough space for the youth and other children in the home. By providing this funding, the family will be able to secure a new home in order to meet the needs of the youth and prevent further out of home placement. The asking amount is quite large but whatever you can contribute to this family will be greatly appreciated.

I am making this request on behalf of a family served with DHS, there are 6 kids in this home (1,2,4,5,13, and 14 years old). The youngest had a twin sister who passed away last year a few months after birth. Their family has been struggling since then but has found a way to stay above water until two months ago when they had some things break down in their home that needs fixing, the gas bill also rose to an unbearable cost. This family is requesting some help from the community to keep above water and keep their home heated during the winter. They have tried other community resources but have been unsuccessful so far. This request is for $500 but this family will take any help at this time.

This is a family of 6 (3 adults and 3 children ages 5,3, and 1) who recently had to leave their apartment at no fault of their own. There was a fire in their apartment complex which resulted in an asbestos outbreak and the family are not allowed to return to gather personal items or furniture. The family moved into the basement of the paternal grandmothers home and the house is very old - the stairs to the basement are extremely steep and dangerous and the door to the laundry room is broken. The family are asking for baby gates to block off the basement stairs and laundry room door. They are also in need of a baby crib and bedding for 2 twin beds, a crib, and a full bed for parents. The family lost everything they had in the fire and outbreak.

Beth:
Asking a clarifying question before we commit to this need: would a used kitchen table with five chairs be ok (there are several options on Facebook Marketplace) or would the family only prefer a new table and chairs? Thank you!
