There’s single mother with a 16 your old son in jeopardy of being evicted. She is recently divorced and has had to file for bankruptcy. Over the past few months maintaining the household had become more difficult. She received an eviction notice and is facing that notice being enforced next week, if she cannot pay $2257.

Single mom of two children (one with significant medically complexity) is struggling to pay her rent this month due to misplacing the already purchased money order for their income-based housing. Mother has taken great lengths to locate the misplaced payment but has come up short. There aren't any community agencies able to help until she has received a formal eviction notice which she doesn't want to risk due to the need for stable housing of her medically complex child. Please consider assisting with this tangible need!

6 year old girl in need of items for an upcoming trip to Texas for her brother's surgery. Her brother has a genetic medical condition and is going to have surgery in Austin, TX in June on his jaw/face for reconstruction and possible tracheotomy removal. The family will be driving to Austin and renting a place to stay for several weeks. The family is hoping to gather items to help their child manage the long drive as well as the many hours she will spend at the hospital with her brother. Items that might be helpful would be coloring books, drawing supplies, crayons, markers, colored pencils, small lego sets, medical play kit (she wants to be a doctor) and she loves mermaids and unicorns. This family would be very appreciative of any help that could be provided.

Single mother of 2 is working very hard to find stable housing and work while also uninsured. One of the two children has been bullied at school for the clothes that she wears. The bullying has been relentless, to the point of daughter wanting to self-harm. The daughter is in safe hands. Clothes for the daughter are hard to find, as in age appropriate and in her style in sizes 2X. A gift card to any clothing places that has her size would help take a burden off of mom's shoulder and empower her daughter to feel more confident in choosing her clothes. This family is just coming from homelessness but just got moved into their new home! I'm so excited for them as its a big step this family. The mother who is disabled has been working so hard at getting everything together for there new home and could use a little love and support from her community in getting a bed for her child and couch for the house. A young mother has escaped a domestic violence situation with the father of her baby, the baby has recently come into care. The baby is placed with a kinship provider; the mother is working two jobs and providing for her baby, although the baby is not in her home currently. Please consider donating an Uber gift card to assist this mother with visiting her daughter.

A dedicated single mother of three children is doing her best to balance work and her health in the midst of job searching. Any assistance would be incredibly helpful, as it would ease her daily burden. The energy bill came higher than she expected. Family is new to the KC area and speaks Hatian Creole. Family speaks limited English and has a limited support system. They have a disconnect notice for their electricity. I have called several agencies about getting assistance and cannot find one that has funds available until next month but I didn't want their electricity to get shut off in the mean time.

These foster parents are outstanding advocates for the children in their care. One of their current placements is a child undergoing dialysis treatment three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, for several hours each day. Due to her medical needs, foster child is unable to attend traditional school full-time.

Foster mom has been a tireless advocate for the child's education. She has proactively pursued both a 504 Plan and an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to ensure foster child receives the academic support she deserves. Foster mom has coordinated with school district officials, principals, and even representatives from the Kansas Department of Education to secure the best possible resources for foster child.

Thanks to foster mom's efforts, the child will begin a hybrid school program next year, attending in person on non-dialysis days. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the child's first in-person school experience in four years.

The foster family is currently requesting a Chromebook or Amazon gift cards to offset the cost of the Chromebook for the foster child. This is essential for her hybrid learning model. The school district will not provide this resource.

This family is needing assistance with half of their rent. Their 21 year-old son was recently killed in an accident and their 19-year-old daughter who is pregnant is being induced due to the stress of losing her brother. Her younger son is currently permanently disabled. Mother has been unable to work as she has been making arrangements for her son's burial and her the birth of her daughter's child. Mother was unable to cover the entire month's rent because she paid for the burial of her son. There are three other younger children in the home.
