A grandmother is the primary caretaker of her three grandsons, one of whom is already adopted and the other two are in the process of being adopted. In June of 2023, the family lost their home to a fire and were unable to save any personal items. They have recently found housing and have some furniture, but they are needing more. The family is needing a full size mattress and bed frame for the grandmother, 3 dressers for each of the boys, a tv for the living room, and a washer and dryer.

High Urgency Request
I have a bio family who is in need of immediate assistance with an energy bill. They have received a notice of disconnection in 5 days. There are two kids in the home and mom is expecting but having a difficult pregnancy. As she is of advance age she is struggling with high blood pressure brought on by her pregnancy. She is unable to work full days and medical team is encouraging bed rest. She shared that she is overwhelmed and terrified thinking about having to take an extended maternity leave without pay and having looming bill over the families head. In applying for LIHEAP they instructed her to wait until receiving a disconnect notice from the energy company but then was later denied and now is left without a means to pay. "I just can't stop worrying about everything which is exactly why I can't get the blood pressure under control, the only cure is delivery but that 15 weeks away. I can't continue like this I really need someone help." This mother has overcame so many barrier to provide for her children. She has completely turned her life around and has never stopped loving and caring for them. She has always keep the children's best interest at hear even when it was not favorable outcome for her. She completed substance use treatment and has been sober for over a year now. She is a wonderful person who just need some extra support at this time. ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

An 8yr old boy with Autism gets out of the house and runs towards a pond that is close to the home. The mom would like for child to have swimming lessons so that if he is around water he will be safe. The child does not know how to swim or float. The mom has found somewhere for children with Autism to have swimming lessons, Platte City YMCA. The sessions are 208.00 a session, and the mom feels that if he goes to a couple and she can observe that she will be able to work with her son alone

I am working with a family from Micronesia that has a son with Cerebral Palsy. The parents have struggled to be able to maintain Dr. appointments for their child due to having to work to ensure that they are able to pay their bills. Currently both parents are employed and medical appointments are up to date. In order to maintain their momentum they could use some assistance to help pay some (or all) of their outstanding utility bills. Currently their water bill is $1049.13, $890.80 of that amount is past due. Last month the family was able to put $200 towards the bill. They seem to be capable of covering their monthly bills, they are having a lot of difficulty though recovering from when they were not able to. The extra support from the community will help ensure that they don't have to neglect medical appointments in the future due to not being able to afford to take the time off of work. Their son could also use his own twin sixed bed frame and bedding (he loves Spiderman!!) Any assistance towards this would be greatly appreciated. The family knows that it is a large bill and is grateful for any support they can get.

A single mother of 3 (currently expecting her 3rd child). Mom is currently working part-time to try and make ends meet. Mom has worked really hard to make a better life for her and her children. 2 years ago she was homeless and trying to escape a domestic violence relationship. Due to the distance from school to kids home they can not ride the bus. They have to be walkers. Mom uses her car daily to drop off and pick up the kids. While picking up the kids on Tuesday mom had a flat tire in the school parking lot. At this time mom is unable to afford new tires. She expressed all her tires are bad and need to be replaced. She states she has to air her tires 2-3 times a week. We are asking for support with purchasing the family a new set of tires. It would be great to be able to assist with replacing all tires before the winter hits. This would ensure that mom is able to make it to her doctor appointments and have the kids at school each day. We did some research and found a company "Zohr" that is a mobile tire company. You purchase your tires from them and they will come to your location to replace the tires and discard the old tires. The company has also agreed to give us a 10% discount on our purchase. The purchase would include price of tires, rotation, installing the new tires and recycle of old tires. Price estimate: 2 tires= $476.99 (with a 10% discount) taxes not included 4 tires = $992.69 (taxes not included). We would like to say thank you in advance

A resilient mom of two small children ages 1 and 3 years old is in need of assistance. The young mother is currently enrolled in community college and is also in the process of finding a job and will soon age out of foster care. Although she has been faced with many obstacles, the young lady is very strong & driven to succeed. She does a good job with taking care of her two small children and also helps out with her younger siblings when she visits them. The young mom tries her best to make sure her little girls are taken care of and she loves doing their hair in cute little hairstyles. She is in need of some things for the girls that would get them through the upcoming fall & winter months. She is asking for a pack n play, stroller, diapers, wipes & clothes for her 1year old daughter. She is also in need of a toddler bed, clothes, shoes, & hair accessories for her 3-year-old daughter. If you are able to help this young mom of 2 with these things or know of someone who may already have these items, it would greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

We have a family of four that could use some help. Mom is struggling raising the kiddos by herself and dealing with her own heart issues. The home is in pretty bad shape with trash everywhere, clothes piled up everywhere and a pest/mice problem. We are hoping that someone can help with hiring an exterminator for the home so they can start getting it cleaned up and safe for the kids.
