This request impacts multiple families.

Clay County Children's Division often has children brought into emergency care with nothing but what they have on. Sometimes this is a baby with only a diaper and a onesie and sometimes it's a teenager with too small clothing and no shoes. Every child deserves clean, comfortable clothes as well as hygiene items to make them feel as best as they can in a very scary time of their life. We want to ensure that every child in need has the opportunity for these items. To ensure that we can fulfill this need for any child, we have to have a range of clothing and items for ages preemie to age 18. Thank you for your consideration. Special Instructions: Items may be dropped off at Clay County Children's Division. Clothing items may be gently used.

A smart & vibrant 10- year old has been placed in the care of her aunt for the past two years. During that time her aunt has taken her in to her home and provided her with a safe, loving and stable home. Her aunt moved into a better neighborhood and school district to provide her niece a better lifestyle. Shortly after moving the aunt lost her job and is now struggling to make ends meet. She has gone through all of the steps to take guardianship of this youth & is awaiting guardianship any day now. The youth is in need of some things that the aunt is unable to provide at this time. She is in need of some summer clothing, girls size 10 tops & shorts, women's shoes size 6.5. or 7 tennis shoes. If you are able to help out with this need it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am currently working with a mother of two with severe mental health issues. She has been unable to work and owes $2200 for her gas bill. They turned off her gas this week and will not turn it back on until she pays $1250. We were able to find a community resource that will pay $500 if we are able to come up with the remaining $750. The mother is working to get into vocational rehab at this time as well as additional mental health services. The gas in her home is for her stove, hot water heater, and heat. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for considering this request and for all your support in our community! Updated on June 05, 2023 by an Agency Worker

The children need help with car seats. A car seat for a 12-18 month old female child, and a car seat for a 3 year old male child. Clothing is needed also for girl 18 months and boy 4T/5T as she does not have much extra clothing. This is a one time investment as the caregiver just needs help with these items. The caregiver has taken over the children as it was unexpected and she is trying to provide for them but is in need of some help to continue care. She also needs help with a baby gate, a simple stroller to take the baby on walks and food. Due to needing child I.d for food pantry's she is struggling with food until she gets approved for kinship. We have a family who came into care, set of 4 siblings who are being split between two placements. The youngest two, aged 3 and 7, are in dire need of a bed, frame, and possible sheets/pillow. The placement is a family member who also has her own children and went from feeding 5 mouths to 7 and she is struggling financially and also left her job to care for the 3-year-old full time. She is in need of beds for both children as she just doesn't have the extra. If we can get a trundle bed, that would be preferred she said but will take what is given to help. These kids have been through a lot already and we are just trying to ease the stress and help maintain their placement.
