Foster parents are asking for help with a specialty formula for a three month old baby who is having trouble eating and WIC does not cover that specialty formula in order to help continue baby’s weight gain. So far, after switching to this formula, the baby has consistently gained weight at an appropriate rate, however the problem is that it is tough to find and very expensive. Foster parents have drove around to Oklahoma City, Arkansas, and Locust Grove to secure some since this baby came into care. The baby is placed with adopted sibling and has had issues from birth, but the foster parents have done a great job looking after this baby and making sure the baby’s developmental needs are met. The specialty formula is “Enfamil AR (added rice).” FM asked for reimbursement of $250 and/or cans of formula. Anything would help this foster family care for this baby. Worker put 12 cans, however foster parents will take any help since this baby will be taking this formula for a while.

Family in need of help! This family consists of an 18-month-old in a kinship placement with his grandmother and uncle who are both on SSI, therefore income is extremely limited. A medical examination is needed asap for the uncle as part of the policy requirements, and his primary care doctor does not have an opening until late July. The family is in need of $66 to cover the cost of the medical exam at a local urgent care so that the medical examination can be completed in time.

The mother entered into a juvenile deprived case with her current child and has done exceptionally well, turning her life around and her case is about to close. There was domestic violence and the mother filed for and received a protective order from the father so there is not any contact with him at this time. The mother found out she is expecting and it is a high risk pregnancy. The mother is in need of baby items including a car seat and infant clothing, diapers, blankets and any other items associated with an infant because she is unable to work at this time. The mother's DHS case will be closing in a week so she will not have any of the services when the baby is due in September. If these needs are met, it would take the stress off the mother and she can focus on taking care of her current child and prepare for the new one. Mother is expecting a girl but does not care for pink, prefers purple and yellow for a girl.
Two children are going to be reunified with their mother but need two mattresses to do so. Updated on June 05, 2023 by an Agency Worker Just need one mattress now.

This request is for a family that started fostering in 2021. Right away, they excepted a sibling set of three kids because the family did not want the children to be separated. They knew there were going to be many sacrifices because there wasn’t enough room for each child to have their own room including their own child. However, they were determined to make it work because they wanted these children to stay together in order for them to overcome their traumatic experiences. It has been a rough couple of years with limited space, but recently an opportunity came up and they were able to find a bigger home that would provide each child with their own bedroom. This is something that the foster children have never experienced and now will have an opportunity to know what that is like, be a little more “normal”. They are now in need of 3 dressers for the children.
A MOTHER IS NEEDING HELP WITH FURNITURE!
There is a mother that has two children (1 and 5 years old). Mom just got a house for herself and her children. Mom is needing some things in order to move into the home. Mom has a toddler mattress for one of her children, but she is needing help with getting a toddler bed frame. Mom is also needing a new bed and bedframe for herself as hers broke. Mom stated she is willing to sleep on an air mattress in the meantime if she is unable to get a bed at the moment. The family is also needing a refrigerator, as the home did not come with one. Mom is not able to get a job right now, due to her attending services and college classes. Mom has been very engaging in all her services. Mom has reached out to other resources, but has had no luck in finding any of the items listed.

Kinship foster family needs assistance obtaining a baby gate to be in compliance with the foster care approval process. The family needs a "wood banister & stair safety gate". Parents need your help paying the summer camp fee of $675 in order to provide a positive peer opportunity for their 14 year old son with other disabled children. Their son is non-verbal, autistic and an epileptic. One of the parents’ plans to attend this camp with their son. This young boy needs and deserves lots of positive interaction with peers in a supervised and safe atmosphere so he can experience new things available at this camp. By covering even a portion of the camp fee, you will be making a huge difference in this family’s life. This boy will be able to zip line through the woods, jump off a diving board amidst a cheering crowd and create a lifelong relationship with a camp friend among many other camp activities.
The Family and Child Welfare thank you for considering assisting with this fee. Again, any donation amount will go to pay for this young boy’s camp fee.

Father of three children who have been in DHS custody for a year is in need of completing a program which requires an initial assessment. The initial assessment fee is 95.00 and the father is not able to cover the cost at this time. I have a mom who got behind on the rent when she had to take off work to have a baby. She's been able to get almost all the way caught up but is still a little short. With her rent caught up, we'll feel more secure in closing her case, knowing she has a safe place for her children to stay.

Parents of 7 children need our community’s assistance with beds, bedding and clothing storage/organization. They also need someone to haul the furniture to their home as they navigate life with a large family on a low income.
Both parents work outside the home however are not able to make ends meet without assistance. The children are amazing individuals with personalities as big as the day is long. They have been taught manners and social graces and are a joy to work alongside as we reunite them with their parents. The children’s ages range from newborn to 11 years of age (Boys’ ages are 11, 9, 6 and newborn; Girls’ ages are 5, 2 and 1.)
They currently are in need of a toddler bed for their 5 year old daughter and the parents need a queen size bed and bed frame.
They have no bedding for the beds, so queen, twin and toddler bed size bedding such as sheets, blankets and pillows are also needed. Plain colors for the bedding would be best instead of themed items. The 3 boys each have twin sized beds (bunk beds and a twin bed).
If someone is able to assist with moving the beds to their home that is also a great need to be filled.
This need can be met partially but selecting one item below. Every little bit helps a lot!!!
Filling this need will greatly reduce the stress and anxiety of both parents as they work together to finish their treatment plans in order to keep their family together in their home. The parents and child welfare greatly appreciate your help!!!

Please consider helping a mother and father with a new convertible car seat for their baby. Today is their baby girl's first birth day and she is in need of a bigger car seat. The parents have been progressing in their case and have been able to move to unsupervised family time with their daughter. They are also transporting her during their family time together. They were previously able to use the foster parents' car seat and were not prepared to have to buy a new one just yet. A new car seat is a big expense for them as they do not have much money. Thank you for your consideration.
