DHS is currently working with a family that is falling on hard times. The mother is a single mother of two children in her home. She had been having to take time off of work in order to get her child psychiatric help. With her child now receiving that psychiatric help, she is back to working as much as she can. Unfortunately, when there is only one income, bills pile up and it is hard to get back on track. The family does not have any heat or hot water in the home because of the gas bill being so high and them not having the extra money to pay it. Their gas has been shut off. This mother is doing everything that she can to provide for her children and is needing extra help with paying her gas bill so they can have heat back. With the weather being really cold, it is crucial that families have heat the family does not develop sickness or be really cold. The mother owes 572.98 on her gas bill. It is through Oklahoma Natural Gas. Please help out this family that is desperate to have heat in their home and hot water to shower. Thank you!
Please help strengthen this single mother of three. This single mother is soon to deliver a new baby in a week and is currently out of work. Please help us strengthen this single mom by paying her cell phone bill this month.
I have a 16 year old expecting a child in July. She is in need of clothing to accommodate her changing/growing body. She is usually a size small in shirts and medium 10/12 in pants. If you have any maternity clothing or able to provide a gift card for her to purchase some clothing, she would be greatly appreciative. I am putting the amount as $75, but she of course will be happy with any amount.
Mother of three has taken placement of four children who are related to her. These children were removed from their past placement and in need of immediate care. Maintaining this placement would keep the children near family and reduce the trauma of relocation. In order to effectively keep them in her care she is in need of transportation that would accommodate all seven children, two of which are still in car seats and one in need of a booster seat. She currently drives a car that seats five and is unable to coordinate transportation to and from school or even take everyone out for fast food. DHS is hoping to at least be able to assist foster mom with a significant down payment or tax and title for her to purchase a vehicle that would meet their needs. However ideas for assistance of any type would be welcome.
Young mother is trying the get her driver's license reinstated. The Department of Public Safety requires that she take a drug and alcohol assessment to do so. The cost for the assessment is $160. Mother is being very vigilant is engaging with her treatment plan for the Department and has been testing negative for our treatment plan. However, the DPS requires a very specific drug and alcohol assessment in order to issue a driver's license for individuals with prior convictions.
Worker has a low income family that is in need of a bunk bed to help house their three girls in the same bedroom. Currently, the child is sleeping on the living room couch, and the family does not have the funds to be able to meet the need. A triple bunk bed would be ideal for the family if at all possible.

Hello there. I have a family who is needing assistance with some bills. They have had some unforeseen financial challenges over the past month and could really use some help. The family is currently in trial reunification and they have been working very diligently to become a happy, healthy, successful family unit again. Any assistance you may be able to provide would be immensely appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
I am working with a foster family who has placement of an 11 month old boy. He is becoming mobile, and the family has been able to obtain some safety devices for the home to help with physical safety. However, the foster family is still lacking a baby gate and has requested assistance in getting one. The space where the baby gate is needed is 90 inches in length, and would greatly help this family. We appreciate any assistance that can be offered.
I am currently working with a maternal grandmother who has taken placement of her two young grandchildren, ages 17 months and 3 months. This foster mother/grandmother is in need of a dresser to help store all of the baby items such as clothing, diapers, wipes, etc. for the children. She has utilized some of the space she has, but is currently folding clothes and lining them along the wall as she does not have anywhere to put them. This grandmother would greatly appreciate assistance in obtaining a dresser so she has a place to put the children's items. Thank you in advance for whatever assistance can be provided.
I have a family who is attempting to get reunification of their three children. They could use assistance with heaters as they do not have heat in the home. Additionally, due to dad working lawn care, their income is very limited right now so they could use assistance with groceries. Also, they have a window in their home that needs replaced. They could use assistance with a new window and/or installation of the window.
Bethany:
We can supply one of the heaters. We would prefer to deliver it to the family or have them pick it up at the church at 302 S Elm St. Sapulpa, OK 74066. Could someone help me with contact information so I can set that up? Thank you so much!!!
Hello! I am a Family Centered Service child welfare specialist. Currently I am working with a family, 2 older children and a single parent. This family has asked that I reach out and ask for assistance in obtaining some items to make their house a home! This family recently moved to a new house, their FIRST house together (not shared with roomates or mult families). The house remains somewhat bare. While they are so happy to be in their own place, it would be most helpful if they could get the following items: Coffee Table (for homework and child activities like board games), small kitchen table and 4 chairs, kitchen utensils (spatulas), bathroom items (rugs, toothbrush holder, towels Etc), vacuum and other cleaning supplies. Thank you for all that you do!
Bethany:
We can supply the kitchen table and coffee table and can have them directly shipped from Amazon. If you will supply me an address, I will get right on it. Thank you!

We have a safety plan monitor who has been a great support for our family. The safety plan monitor has been providing transportation for a medical fragile child to all her appointments. The safety plan monitor also provides transportation for the parents to their service providers. We would like to provide the safety plan monitor with a gas card to help alleviate some of her financial burdens. Thank you

Family in process of moving into a home and start of reunification. Single employed mother of 3 under the age of 10 is in need of 1 twin size bed, 2 twin size mattress's, 1 full size mattress. Mother had to leave most of her belongings at previous home when she left. Mom has worked diligently in obtaining consistent employment, and successfully correcting the conditions that led to the removal of children.
This is a request for assistance for $465.11 to cover a PSO bill in Tulsa for a foster home with two children. The foster parent has struggled to keep up with the bill due to sharing a vehicle and finances associated with fuel, etc with another person in order to get to work each day. DHS has observed the electric bill and confirmed the amount due. Thank you in advance for any assistance to get this bill paid.
Help this family reach their blessing. A foster mother was fortunate enough to find a home with enough space for herself, her teenaged son, and two foster children to live comfortably. This mother also has medical equipment she has in the home that she needed to increase the home’s space for. While the mother does receive Section 8 and her voucher will cover her monthly rent expense, her voucher doesn’t cover the required $1300 deposit for the apartment. Though this mother works full-time, she receives limited welfare assistance so she’s not able to afford a $1300 deposit by herself. Any assistance that could be offered to this family would greatly and immediately benefit the family.
I am currently working with a parent in a family centered services case, she has removed herself from a domestically violent relationship, has moved to her own place and has been working as well. Due to moving expenses and having to replace things that were left or lost, the mother has had some issues ensuring she has enough gas to get her child to and from daycare as well to work. Any help or resources to help this single mother with $20.00 worth of gas for a week would be extremely beneficial.
