We have grandparents fostering their grandson and on the road to adoption in a few months. Due to the child receiving disability, the grandparents are not receiving a regular stipend. The grandparents are on a fixed income and do not have a lot of extra money. The family needs some groceries for their nephew as school is about to let out for the summer and they will have an extra meal to prepare each day. If you can help this family, please reach out. We have a foster mother that has really gone above and beyond to help a 13 year old boy with several disabilities, and there are 3 other children in the home. She's opened her home in order to take him in and even moved to the living room so that he can have her room instead. She's been struggling with some major home repairs and we've been unable to find help for those issues. We are asking for some help with her water/municipal utilities in order offset those other expenses. Her current water bill is $201 approx. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A kinship placement was found for an Oklahoma teen with her great-aunt in Illinois. We are very appreciative that the aunt stepped up to care for her niece. Accepting placement of a child into the home comes with added expenses. The aunt needs assistance obtaining a bed and dresser for the child to keep her in the home. Service providers in the area were unable to provide the items. Obtaining a bed and dresser would help keep this placement stable and keep this kiddo with family. Please take note, the family lives in Illinois and the ability for an in-person connection is not possible. The items would need to be shipped. Thank you for considering helping our Oklahoma child!

Please help a little girl enjoy two weeks of summer camp after a very stressful year. Her third foster placement has proven to be a very good place for her to heal and be loved. She has been through a lot of trauma in her short 7 years. Her foster parents have expressed they need help with the cost. It will be a total of $260 ($130 per week). They would really appreciate the assistance. Payment would be made directly to the camp. Family YMCA Member weekly rate $130
Camp runs from May 27 to August 13 and foster family would like to sign her up for two weeks. Camp offers swimming, art, games, field trips, crafts, and more.

Good afternoon, Care Portal! We are walking alongside a family from Afghanistan facing some health challenges that could benefit from a few items, in particular a washer, dryer and a stroller. These items can definitely be used in good condition! This family is very sweet and the father is awaiting surgery in the next few months and unable to work. They have a 1 & 1/2 year old daughter. Thank you for keeping an eye out and extending welcome to new neighbors!

Foster parent currently has her foster child at her place of employment in the mornings for two hours prior to school starting. However, due to the child's complex medical and behavioral needs, the child has had a difficult time adjusting to this arrangement. The child would benefit from attending her school's early morning child care for the remainder 3 weeks of school which would give her a great opportunity to connect with peers and have her needs met.

We are in a need of a new or gently used twin size bunk beds for two brothers ages 7 & 5 . They are already in trial reunification with their mother and CASA learned the boys are sharing a bed. Mother has limited income and is unsure when she'll be able to purchase bunk beds. While there is no current safety issue, the team agrees it is more appropriate for them to have their own sleeping space and have a sense of privacy. We have already reached out to other community partners with no luck. It would be a blessing if someone is able to donate bunk bed frame with mattress. We have a very loving family that is waiting on home approval and has not yet received stipend. Resource parent is having a very rough financial month and is asking for help with getting child placed some clothes. Resource parent stated child does not have any summer clothes such as, shorts and short sleeve shirts. Child wears size 5 in boys bottoms/shorts and size 6 boys shirts. A resilient household of four has recently achieved a remarkable milestone by moving from a hotel to a new apartment. Their dedication and hard work to secure stable housing have been nothing short of inspirational. However, unforeseen challenges have emerged, threatening their fragile progress.

With limited income, the family has been unable to afford furniture, leaving them to sleep on the floor with only minimal blankets for warmth. This situation has taken a physical toll on them, especially the eldest daughter, who recently secured a job to contribute to the family’s finances. Tragically, she fell while attempting to rise from the floor, injuring her knee and forcing her to take time off from work. This setback highlights the urgent need for assistance.

The family is seeking support to acquire beds, which would significantly improve their health, safety, and overall well-being. A small gesture of kindness could make a world of difference for this determined household as they continue to fight for stability and a brighter future.

A child has expressed a desire to engage in a cheer camp this summer. This will assist not only the child expand her horizons and interests, but will provide 4 days of day care for the child. The requests also includes a $50 open gym pass where the child can learn and further work on her skills. This will assist in not only developing her skills, but will further connect her with her community and making new friendships.

Child was arrested for stealing socks and pair of underwear from Wal-Mart. She is currently staying with family friends due to mother being homeless and father lives in Texas. Worker has spoke with the family and they are willing to get guardianship for the child. The child is wanting to get back into school and graduate with friends. The family does not have a lot of money to file for guardianship. The cost is $200.00 to file at the court house. The courts have tried to reach out to mom and dad as well as DHS worker. Both parents have not cooperate with DHS.

Biological mother is working her plan and is currently living in a substance abuse facility. She just moved to this home and still looking for employment to pay the rent to stay there. She is in need of some assistance paying next month's rent and asking for any donation and will be greatly appreciated. She continues to test negative, attend her classes and look for employment, but is needing some assistance.
