Foster mom of three children with a total household of 5 children is needing help to pay for Lice Treatment at Lice Clinics of America (LCA). This sweet foster mom took placement of three children late on Tue. She was not made aware that the children had an infestation of lice. The children were brought to her home carried in asleep and placed in bed. When she bathed them the following morning, she discovered the lice. She along with the help of other family members have been combing lice for two days. The children's heads are so infested that it is recommended that they receive the treatment from LCA to ensure that the infestation is eradicated. There are a total of 5 children in this home that either have an infestation or has been exposed. Each child has to be treated. The cost for the treatment is $155 per child. The foster mom is able to take care of three of the children, but we are asking for help with paying for two. The total cost is $310.
A 17 year old girl on my caseload is now placed in a non-relative kinship home that kindly took her in. She is still in the process of gathering things that the youth needs in her home. My client was using a sleeper sofa to sleep on, however, the sleeper sofa is not as functional as they were hoping it was going to be. My client is way too tall for the sleeper sofa which makes it very difficult for her to try and sleep on it. She could really benefit from having a full size mattress and box spring or supported bed frame. She already has full sized bedding that she can use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A family with four young children (ages 1, 3, 4, and 5) could use help obtaining a toddler mattress and a playpen. They were able to obtain beds for the other three children, but did not have sufficient funds to purchase a toddler mattress and a playpen. The mother is also requesting educational toys, "I know that's extra, but I would really love to be able to get them educational toys if possible." The family does not have much furniture in the house, although they will be receiving two dressers and an arm chair through a previous request. They could also use a couple more dressers, something like plastic ones for children would work great. Thank you for your generosity, this will make a big impact on this family!
Foster mother is need of help paying for daycare registration. Her husband recently lost his job due to medical reasons. He was on over the road truck driver and started suffering from short term memory loss. He was forgetting loads and the company let him go. He is now home and undergoing testing to see what is happening. The foster family is struggling financially due to the loss of foster dad's income. The daycare name can be provided by the worker and the money can be paid directly to the daycare. If the registration is not paid today the baby cannot return to daycare until the fee is paid.
An aunt and uncle have recently taken kinship placement of three of their nieces, ages 11, 8, and 6. This family needs assistance with their current utilities. Their East Central Electric Cooperative electric bill is due on 9/22/2022 and totals $224.00 Their City of Muskogee water/sewer bill is due on 9/28/2022 and totals $81.83. This father has been engaging in other classes and services that have been required of him to complete as well as continue to work. while this father has been working very hard right now he does need some support financially to help him pay for his domestic violence assessment and some of the classes. He does not deny that he needs to get help learning how to deal with his frustration and he is looking forward to getting additional help with that through safenet services. taking this assessment as well as the classes will ensure that his daughter and her mother will be in a safe and stable home environment. The assessment for Safenet services is $125.00. We appreciate any assistance that you can offer in helping this father pay for his assessment.
