This home is needing 2 toddler beds and 2 toddler mattresses as they have 2 infants that are turning 1 soon and will need to transition from a baby crib to a toddler bed.
We are working a case in which a single mother residing in Muskogee took kinship placement of 3 children during the holidays. Until her home is able to be fully paid as a certified foster home, she has had to use her personal finances to help care for the children, leaving her with a financial need. She is needing assistance to help cover her rent and credit card bills. Thank you for any contributions.
Maternal grandmother/Foster mother in need of gas car. Foster Mother uses van to transport medically fragile foster child to and from appointments. Van takes about $50 to fill up. Any help would be much appreciated!
I have a family in Wagoner County that is in need of some essentials. They are a kinship home that just recently opened. They initially took in one child and now they are adding an additional child to the home to keep the sibling group together. They are fully approved and do not receive maintenance payments so anything help. The family stated that they are in need of help with groceries to get through until they can start receiving payments to help with the financial burden it has taken to feed two additional mouths. The family wants to keep the siblings together and also want to ensure they are receiving adequate care. The family is also in need of bunk beds for the children as well. As stated before anything helps.
Hello there. There is a small child on my caseload whose formula allowance with WIC was reduced and the family is having to purchase multiple cans a month to make up the difference. This has become very costly and they could use some assistance. The type of formula the child uses is Gerber Good Start Gentle Complete Nutrition. The family was hoping to get 7 or 8 cans so that they would have enough to get them through the next month or so. Thank you so much in advance for your time and consideration. Also, when looking online in order to specify a price range for this need, there was a fairly broad range so if you are able to find the formula for a better price please just ignore the estimate amount that I provided.
Two amazing pre teen girls are in the process of being adopted by their paternal aunt, the only thing standing in the way is that she needs to finalize her divorce before the adoption can go through. She has been making payments to start the process but she could use assistance in getting it paid off so that these girls can finally be adopted and know that they really have achieved permanency.
Please help strengthen this single mother of three. This single mother is soon to deliver a new baby in a week and is currently out of work. Please help us strengthen this single mom by paying her cell phone bill this month.
I have a dad who is working towards reunification with his daughter. He could use assistance with food to ensure he is able to feed his daughter during visits. Additionally, I would like to request a family membership to the zoo or the aquarium so that he can visit outside the home.
Kinship foster parent took seven children into their home. They are taking the last two siblings this week and need one chest of drawers for the children being placed. The kinship home is not receiving any payments at this time and need help with this item. It will help preserve a placement and allow siblings to all be placed together in one home.
Kinship foster parent needs help with an exterminator. They took placement of seven children, when the second bunch of children were placed in the home they brought roaches in with them. The kinship foster parents are not getting payment yet and are unable to afford the exterminator as their money is going to care for the home and children. Please help to preserve this placement.
This was a new relative kinship placement from last week. This foster parent took placement of their 14 mo granddaughter during an emergency situation. The family is needing a crib and a car seat for the 14 month old child in their home. Obtaining these items will also be helpful to the child's parents if they are able to reunify. Please let me know if this is something that can be met.
Thank you!
Hi there! I have a non-paid kinship placement that is in need of some financial assistance. They have fallen behind on some bills and would greatly benefit from any help that you may be able to provide. Again, this is a non-paid kinship placement and they have been such a blessing to the girls placed in their care. Any help you may be able to provide would immensely appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your time and consideration!
Please help us strengthen this single mother by assisting her with paying her court fines. This single mother has overcome her addiction to alcohol and is maintaining her sobriety by attending treatment. However, in the midst of her addiction she accrued several fines that resulted in her license being suspended. She is now having trouble getting to and from services as well as having trouble accomplishing daily parental duties as her driver's license has been suspended. Please help this mom cover her court fines so she can get her driver's license.
A 10 month old baby boy was recently placed in a newly certified foster home who has not received their first foster care payment. The baby is higher on the growth chart for his age and has outgrown the current car seat. The child is now in need of a 5 point car seat so he can be transported safely and for the placement to be maintained.
Mother of three has taken placement of four children who are related to her. These children were removed from their past placement and in need of immediate care. Maintaining this placement would keep the children near family and reduce the trauma of relocation. In order to effectively keep them in her care she is in need of transportation that would accommodate all seven children, two of which are still in car seats and one in need of a booster seat. She currently drives a car that seats five and is unable to coordinate transportation to and from school or even take everyone out for fast food. DHS is hoping to at least be able to assist foster mom with a significant down payment or tax and title for her to purchase a vehicle that would meet their needs. However ideas for assistance of any type would be welcome.
This need is for a mother and child who have recently reunified. The mother frequently rides her bike or takes the bus. This one child bike trailer/stroller would allow her child to not have to walk so far to catch the bus and enable her to take the bike when necessary. The one that I found to be the best bargain is at Walmart and is the Allen Sports Deluxe 2-Child Bicycle Trailer & Stroller. It does not need to be this specific brand and can be donated one that is donated rather than purchased new.
We have a family, whose children have been put into a kinship placement. Two of the children are school age and to be able to get them from their kinship home to school, which is about a 45 minute drive each way, they need monetary assistance in the form of gas cards.
Young mother is trying the get her driver's license reinstated. The Department of Public Safety requires that she take a drug and alcohol assessment to do so. The cost for the assessment is $160. Mother is being very vigilant is engaging with her treatment plan for the Department and has been testing negative for our treatment plan. However, the DPS requires a very specific drug and alcohol assessment in order to issue a driver's license for individuals with prior convictions.
