We have a couple who is currently caring for their granddaughter in a kinship placement. They are the sweetest folks and really have been a great placement for their granddaughter. Recently, with the rising prices, they have struggled financially and have fallen behind on their gas bill. Grandpa recently had surgery to repair a very old back injury, and though he is doing much better, he will not be released to work for sometime due to him normally doing manual labor type jobs. Grandma is employed, but like a lot of people, money is tight and goes to other necessities as well. They are currently behind on their gas bill for a total of $297.31. If this money was able to be raised, it would insure permanency in this kinship placement, keep the family warm, comfortable and able to cook meals, as well as take a huge burden off of their shoulders mentally.
Single mother of four minor children is in need of funds to obtain Court ordered UAs. Mother has struggled with sobriety but tells her worker now she is clean and sober. These tests will provide important information for the caseworker and the Court.
I Recently went out to see a family and noticed the house had caught on fire that night. The family is staying with friends and family while trying to get a camper till they can repair their house. Most of the items were lost and the family is seeking help with clothing that was lost in the fire. There is a small two year old and a school aged child, uncle, and Aunt. the uncle was able to save some of his clothing. The school aged child will need some uniforms. THANK YOU!
A foster family received a new placement 4 days ago, and unfortunately the child did not bring any clothes or shoes. The foster mom says that her clothing size is 12/14 girls size, and size 7 in shoes. Foster mom also stated that the child's biggest need is jeans/pants. Any help or assistance for this foster family would be a huge blessing for them and the child.
Mother and child are in a center which is an inpatient treatment where moms can take their children. This mother is almost at 4 months and will be graduating on 2/17 and was accepted into transitional housing, but the only barrier is that they request she be up to date with her court fees and have her license reinstated before acceptance. Mom has been given a day pass to go with worker on 2/2 to handle this and will need $350 for license reinstatement and two $50 payments ; one of them will be to the city and the other will be for State. Please help me make this a smooth transition for mom and baby boy
Foster parent's washer went out before Christmas. FP has a baby and a 10-year-old foster child and is not able to easily take their clothes to the laundry. She is not able to buy one at this time, so she asked if we knew of any places that donated to foster families. I went to some outlet stores to see what was available, but if you don't buy them immediately, they are gone. I have priced them at Lowe's and Hahn appliances and the least expensive that I found are between 500.00 and 600.00 and that is without tax or whatever fees they add on. Ideally someone might have one they no longer need that they would be willing to part with. Thank you so much for all that you do for Oklahoma's children.
A kinship family has recently taken placement of 5 siblings. They have not yet received their stipend and are working hard to provide for the children's needs. The addition of these children has placed a financial strain on the family. They currently have an ONG bill that will be due soon that they need help paying. The bill is for $288.33 and would bring the family current with ONG. Please consider helping this family as they work hard to keep the siblings together and meet their needs in their home. Thank you!
The natural father is the person needing assistance. The natural father needs assistance with paying for his assessment with Connections Counseling Group for BIP. The assessment will evaluate the natural father and then inform him of their recommendations.
Special Instructions:
The payment should be made out to Connections Counseling Group.
The natural mother and the natural father. The need is for assistance with transportation to be able to work, attend services, and family time visits. The natural mother and the natural father will be able to see their child(ren) for family time and attend services with providers.
Both natural parents. The natural parents are in need for bus passes to be able to attend their treatment service plans. Both of the natural parents would be able to attend both visitation and work toward correcting the condition that led to their minor child's removal.
Thank you for your time in reading this. I am a foster care worker for a family who has placement of two children, ages 15 and 10. The foster parents are respectfully asking for help with some of their basic bills. After taking placement of the children they got behind on some of them and are playing catch up. Any help will be greatly appreciated so they can get back on track and focus on the children's needs. The following bills are request: PSO: $220, Cell Phone $262, Cox $150 (necessary because oldest child is being homeschooled), Car Insurance $232, and two loans which were taken out to get the children what they needed when placement was made. Those loans are $100 and $200. Payoffs are $601 and $667 respectively. Thank you for your time and considerations to this request.
DHS is currently working with a family that is falling on hard times. The mother is a single mother of two children in her home. She had been having to take time off of work in order to get her child psychiatric help. With her child now receiving that psychiatric help, she is back to working as much as she can. Unfortunately, when there is only one income, bills pile up and it is hard to get back on track. The family does not have any heat or hot water in the home because of the gas bill being so high and them not having the extra money to pay it. Their gas has been shut off. This mother is doing everything that she can to provide for her children and is needing extra help with paying her gas bill so they can have heat back. With the weather being really cold, it is crucial that families have heat the family does not develop sickness or be really cold. The mother owes 572.98 on her gas bill. It is through Oklahoma Natural Gas. Please help out this family that is desperate to have heat in their home and hot water to shower. Thank you!
Hello there. There is a small child on my caseload whose formula allowance with WIC was reduced and the family is having to purchase multiple cans a month to make up the difference. This has become very costly and they could use some assistance. The type of formula the child uses is Gerber Good Start Gentle Complete Nutrition. The family was hoping to get 7 or 8 cans so that they would have enough to get them through the next month or so. Thank you so much in advance for your time and consideration. Also, when looking online in order to specify a price range for this need, there was a fairly broad range so if you are able to find the formula for a better price please just ignore the estimate amount that I provided.
Two amazing pre teen girls are in the process of being adopted by their paternal aunt, the only thing standing in the way is that she needs to finalize her divorce before the adoption can go through. She has been making payments to start the process but she could use assistance in getting it paid off so that these girls can finally be adopted and know that they really have achieved permanency.
Please help strengthen this single mother of three. This single mother is soon to deliver a new baby in a week and is currently out of work. Please help us strengthen this single mom by paying her cell phone bill this month.
A mother of a newborn is needing help with consistent transportation that can help her get to her family time visits each week. An uber gift card would be ideal since the bus route would not be practical for her situation.
I have a 16 year old expecting a child in July. She is in need of clothing to accommodate her changing/growing body. She is usually a size small in shirts and medium 10/12 in pants. If you have any maternity clothing or able to provide a gift card for her to purchase some clothing, she would be greatly appreciative. I am putting the amount as $75, but she of course will be happy with any amount.
I have a dad who is working towards reunification with his daughter. He could use assistance with food to ensure he is able to feed his daughter during visits. Additionally, I would like to request a family membership to the zoo or the aquarium so that he can visit outside the home.
A youth (female) who will be aging out in April was just diagnosed with temporomandibular disorder (TMJ). The dentist has recommended she wear a mouth guard at night to help with the effects (such as headaches) from the TMJ. Soonercare has advised they will not pay for the mouth guard. Her transition team is trying to make sure this youth has everything she needs before April. Assistance with getting this mouth guard would help her be able to focus on the bigger things, like college and transitioning into adulthood, and help relieve the stress of how she can meet this need.
